Great food although it's off the beaten path of south Beach.. Located on 41st street. The steaks he had were great.. The crowd was mostly older stuff rich guys and young model girls posing trying to catch one of the old rich guys.

Great wine list, good food and worth the cab ride. The service was excellent although it was A BIT LOUD.
Will make a second trip when in town.

We frequented there during Miami Spice Restaurant Month. It was a great ambience and I felt like we served very well, the servers were very attentive. The "spice" menu was a good variety and I thought that the food was excellent and the variety of breads that came in the basket were tasty. The only thing that I didn't like was that we were charged for the birthday sparkler b/c it was two of the diners' birthdays. They sang to us though! When I go back, I defintely want to try the regular menu and see all that they really have to offer.

We booked dinner for the Miami Spice menu, not expecting it to be as lavish as the regular high-priced menu.
Boy were we right. The portions were tiny- my caesar salad was drenched in dressing and cheap parmesan cheese- I have had better at Macaroni Grill.
The tenderloin was tasty, but the waitstaff delivered the wrong temperature steak to myself and my 3 dinner companions.
The presentation was very plain..I guess if you are ordering from the Miami Spice menu you don't even get a garnish.
The potato salad was the size of two quarters.
In addition, the Cheesecake was flavorless..How do you make cheesecake flavorless?
The service was ok. Not great. Definitely not 5 star.

I have heard good things about the Forge but I guess they treat the Miami Spice customers as second class citizens. I ask why they are even participating then?

Forge is a great a party atmosphere, if you are a steak lover, then Forge should be your top choice. Service is great, the music of good taste and the food fantastic.

The Forge is exquisite! A great place to party. If you want to have fun this is the place to go! it is absolutely beautiful and dining there is the experience of a lifetime. This is elegant dining at its finest.

I went to the Forge because my friend was throwing a party there. I had so much fun and the DJ was great. Nice decor and atmosphere. The drinks were pretty good also. I didnt have any food while I was there so I can't comment on that. Overall it was a great place

Since moving to Miami I had always heard about the Forge. I finally went last month and was not blown away. The restaurant itself is visually appealing. The menus were large (so large they assist you in opening them as they have been known to break glasses on the tables!) The steaks were nice. What you would expect?but it felt like it was past its prime. The service was sub-par. A nice experience but don?t expect too much. Do ask for a tour of the wine cellar!

If you?ve never been to a high end New York steak house, The Forge?s heavily seared dry aged beef, delicious homemade sauces (not even needed the beef is so good), and delectable sides deliver that experience to south Florida. I had the filet on the bone ($55). When I return, I will have the filet mignon off the bone ($30) as one of my dining companions chose, as the extra $25 didn?t deliver anything but bone, fat and extra work. BEWARE, THE SERVERS WILL SEDUCE YOU WITH THEIR SPECIALS BUT WON?T MENTION THE PRICE OF THE $90 NY STRIP STEAK, OR THE $40 LOBSTER TAIL SIDE DISH.

Having dined here in the late 90?s, I was pleased to see that the food has improved, as has the service. The extensive wine menu offers something for most every pocketbook. The $49 bottle of Chianti we ordered was excellent ($30 at the supermarket ? a reasonable restaurant markup). The antique bottles of Chateau Lafite Rothschild (at over $1000) was impressive, as were the pages and pages of options in between.

The library room (with lovely Tiffany glass panels - one panel from the Trinity Church in NYC and antique crystal chandeliers originally purchased by Jacqueline Kennedy and used in the White House) is definitely romantic. The lighting in this dark paneled room, however, is dim. The servers used flashlights to show us our food. With decent eyesight, I was nearly unable to make out the bill ($150 EACH including tip ? and we went on the cheap with wine). The $16 souffles were worth every penny (I preferred the Belgian Chocolate.

The service was very attentive, friendly and professional. The hosts were prompt and pleasant. Top class. We will definitely return for special occasions as the price puts it out of our range on a typical night. This is definitely the type of experience I seek out if on vacation or entertaining business clients.

Once upon a time The Forge was great, unfortunately not anymore, from bad service to mediocre food, nothing works the way a prestigious restaurant should. Horrible from the prices to the huge portions of non-quality food, to the lack of attention. Not recommended.

They messed up our check several times and pretty much forgot about the table throughout the entire meal. Even when the birthday cake came out, the waiter couldn't find anyone to sing with him to it became a one man serenade. There were additions to our check that we didn't order and what we did order came out different than the description. The food was nothing to write home about. I don't recommend it.

The service was terrible, didn"t get bread until dinner arrived. The maitre d' was constantly yelling at the waiters in both English and Spanish to provide service. Waited, waited and waited for everything. And none of the 4 of us enjoyed the food.

Our experience at this allegedly amazing restaurant was as bad as it gets. The staff at this restaurant is incompetent and useless. It took them close to an hour to bring water, even more time to bring beverages, and then, when we ordered a bottle of champagne, we were asked six times by three different people which brand it was, even though we gave them the name and the number on the wine list.
The waiters forgot to place the lobsters orders with the kitchen, so when all the entrees were brought out, there were no lobsters. When, about 30 minutes later the lobsters were brought out, they were undercooked. A few side orders were also forgotten.
The incompetence of the staff was unbelievable. Missing silverware, glasses, plates; wine glasses not removed from the table when noone was drinking wine.
The food is decent, but definitely not worth the money.

Had reservations but when we got to the door they denied our entrance b/c they said we didn't have reservations. My bestfriend who wanted to eat there so badly insisted and spoke to the manager. Finaly after seeing her beg they let us in. After all that irritation and frustration the food just didn't taste good. People and the staff seem snoby instead of welcoming and friendly. Worst time ever.

We had reservations and arrived on time. The maitre'd requested we wait at the bar, while our table was prepared. I think he forgot about us until 30 minutes later we inquired about our table, and there were plenty of tables available. The atmosphere is nice, the DJ is good, but the steaks were just average. Brazilian steakhouses in New York seem much better. Too much hype for nothing.

Definitely NOT the best steak in America (any self respecting American even Frenchman will agree, just go to a Texas steakhouse in Austin or an Argentine steak house in Miami and you will agree). The service is just horrible and the type of people that frequent the place are hardly worth the time. Its a posers Mecca. The music is great; you just have to put up with the obnoxious staff and clientele.

We absolutley loved it! We went with about 10 friends and had a great time. The food was divine and the service was incredible. The wine list was superb and so was the service. The sous chef even surprised us by sending out chocolate souffles at no charge. That made our evening! I would definetely go again!

The Forge restaurant was a wonderful classy restaurant while under the management and close eye of Mr. Al Marnick. After the son took over this place has gone down faster than the Titanic. Tasteless dancers on Wednesday nights, and the so called "events" are a joke. Same people, all the time. On top of it Chef Cal left and the new chef's creations are bortherline gross. The silverwear doesn't even match! 5 stars? Maybe in another galaxy)

You walk in and you feel you are surrounded by sharks on a feeding frenzy. Gold diggers with fake blond hair and implants, and aging nouveau rich men with carpet-looking hairpieces. So fake!!! It's like an xfile episode of what south beach would look like if people stopped having children and all that was left were those ex crobar and space lovers, now in their late fifties, clinging desperately to their long gone youth.
I wouldn't call this restaurant romantic at all. Actually, ladies, if you are thinking about going with your man here, and he looks moderately decent, don't you leave him alone...not even to go to the bathroom. If he needs to go, escort him, because I tell you.. women here are desperate. Same goes to men.

This an old fashioned restaurant. The food and service were excellent, but it's not the hippest joint in town. My parents LOVED it. So I say, if you are taking a group out (or visiting your grandparents), it would be a good choice. There is something for everyone.

The place is nice. Massive chandeliers hang in over you, attentive non-pretentious waiters take your order, and many single women stare wondering if that's your Porsche parked outside. The food was good, but easily forgettable. A door in the restaurant gives you access to a club next door where many 30-something Gold-diggers await.

I love the decor; it's very eclectic. I was told it from the owners collection of treasures from trips abroad. The food is to die for! The service was good, though the meal was long.

On a recent trip to miami beach with a lovely young lady i wanted to dine at a very romantic restaurant. the forge game to mind having been there before the food was always great the restaurant stunning and very romantic.to my disbelief i was very dissapointed the food was less then par the service was not much better and at the prices of the forge one can expect much better

The Super Steak puported to be the "best " was good, but I wouldn't say "THE BEST". And no porterhouse on the menu. I miss Luger's "sTEAK FOR tWO" But ambiance was great, portions were large.

You need big bucks to come here, but it's well worth it. The Forge is undoubtedly the most romantic restaurant in Miami. You will not be disappointed.
