I've been a patient of Dr. Fernandez for almost 10 years now. I have yet to meet a physician as caring and understanding as he is. His staff are also very friendly and professional. I have had numerous cancers removed and I am very pleased

Dr. Fernandez came highly recommended to me by a friend. I had a recurring cyst on my chest wall and decided it was time to have it removed. I made an appointment with Dr. Fernandez in his POrt Charlotte office. He took the time to explain the problem to me, the fact that surgery on a womans chest wall could sometimes leave a scar and that the cyst might reoccur. I proceeded with the removal. He and his staff were caring and professional (something hard to find these days). Post OP appointments were handled the same way. I am pleased to say there is minimal scarring, and no reoccurance. I have recommended him to family, friends and patients (I have worked in the medical field for 30 years) and would not hesitate to see him again for any of my dermatological needs. THANK YOU DR. FERNANDEZ!

In October 2007 this so-called "surgeon" butchered my ankle. A growth of some kind (cyst?) appeared on my ankle so I went to this doctor. He cut a large section of skin out of my ankle to remove the growth. The result of this surgery was nerve damage and chronic pain. Two podiatrists said their opinion is that only a doctor familiar with the nerves of the foot should perform surgery on the foot area. Dr Fernandez showed no compassion when I returned to his office in agony, unable to walk or wear a shoe. I incurred considerable additional expense of treatment at The Wound Care Clinic at Doctor's Hospital and additional doctor's visits to podiatrists. Sixteen months post-op and I am still suffering chronic pain and plantar faciistis. My ankle will never be the same. I cannot wear shoes with a back so I had to also incur additional expense of purchasing shoes with open backs (clog/slide type).

This 'doctor' advertises his practice as a "skin surgery center" but in my opinion he should not as his skin surgery experience is sorely lacking.

View pictures of my ankle after this hack got at it here: (wouldn't let me post the link..)

I hope someone considering allowing this 'doctor' cut on them reads my review and avoids him - if sharing my experience saves one person from his knife that is all I can hope for. Please beware!
