Shear Art Salon and Spa Welcomes Mark Alan Salon!

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2010) ?? Shear Art Salon and Spa and Mark Alan Salon joined. Nine Mark Alan hair stylists, including owners Mark and Michelle Levendoski, relocated to Shear Art??s location in Carrollwood.

The decision to join was based on enhancing the benefits to all employees and creating better guest services. Mark Alan??s clients can now take advantage of Shear Art??s spa offerings, including a guest loyalty program, $39 massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and makeup lessons.

??We anticipate a smooth transition for the stylists and clients,? said Joanne Powers, Shear Art??s owner, noting that the salons had a joint holiday party so the stylists could get to know each other. In addition, Mark Alan??s former location is only 4.4 miles from Shear Art in Citrus Park.

??The stylists of both salons have worked on the same tier-service level program for years and used the same products, so guests won??t experience major significant changes,? she added. ??We expect most clients to follow their stylists.?

I'm a mom of one little boy who likes to pull hair, so today I went to Shear Art to chop off my hair. I was nervous, because not only was I cutting my hair shorter than I'd ever cut it, but I was also going to a salon I'd never been to before. But my nerves were all for naught - not only does my hair look awesome, but my stylist was amazing!!! Ashley was easy to work with, all ears as to what I was looking for, and totally honest with me about the style I was suggesting. She was an absolute professional, and I truly enjoyed my experience with her today. I will definitely be back, and will tell people about this salon! I highly recommend it, especially Ashley!

Pros: Open on Sundays, talented stylists, comfortable atmosphere

Cons: None!

Horrible experience with Tina McIntosh. She charged me hundreds more than quoted and left me alone for an hour. Very unprofessional.

Cons: Waited an hour for appointment to start. Unprofessional Stylist. Overcharged.

Best Pedicure I've had in a long time...friendly environment, great service, very relaxing atmosphere. Money was well spent for the hour long pedicure vs. most other salons who do it in 30 min. Ask for Thai...will come back!

Wonderful atmosphere. I enjoyed the spa and hosted a party there. It was so much fun. Ask for Nina, Caitlin or Belinda for massage. They all do a great job.
