I have been bringing my poodle her for over 6 years for both grooming and boarding. The groomer is really good. I also like the outdoor play area with kiddie pools, sprinklers and agility stuff. The staff are nice and thorough.

As owner of Bayshore Pet Resort I am responding to recent reviews concerning an accident involving a day care pet in October, 2011. We are deeply saddened by the loss, especially considering the bond we form with the pets and their owners.

Great place we have been taking our dogs here for years, for both boarding and doggie day care. Would not trust anyone else.

I have been taking my puppy to Daycare once a week for about 6 weeks now, have boarded him once, and have had him groomed. I have been very happy with everything! More importantly, my basset hound LOVES it! I come and go at all different

My cousins dog was KILLED here last week by another larger dog because the staff was clearly not paying attention! The large dog bit the head of her teacup yorkie and instantly killed it. If you care about your pets like they are family

I don't know what Lovespuppies is talking about! My dogs know they will be going for their weekly baths on Wednesdays and sit at the door waiting for me. Because I am there weekly, I can say I have never say this facility was anything but spotless. The staff have all been there for a long time and know me and my dogs by name. I really like it because it is much smaller than some of the other places in town. It's been fun meeting the owners of the dogs mine play with and we've even scheduled playdates at the park. Robin, the owner, always has a smile and will bend over backwards to ensure both myself and my pups are happy. I consider Bayshore a second home to my "kids" and would never consider going anywhere else.

I toured this place to take my puppy, and this place was DIRTY! There was poop all over the play yard and even in the lobby! They break the dogs into rooms by size, and the "play area" for the little dogs is in the room where they groom dogs. There was one groomer in there working on a dog and a bunch of dogs running around, completely unsupervised. I will not be taking my dog here.

While i have not left my dog there, and i would never. I have toured the place 2 times. Both times they were understaffed.

The last time i was given a tour by the onwer. The things i seen and she allowed were uncalled for, unsafe and just showed an unwillingness to care for the animals in her care.

First we were not allowed into the kennel. She said it was because of insurance. Funny how all the other kennels in tampa let you in. If that is true maybe she should up her protection.

2nd in the grooming room the little dogs for doggie day care were running around while a groomer was working. Very good chance to step on a puppy. The the real horror was a dog left on a grooming table unwatched with only one person in the room and they were on the other side of the room grooming another dog.

Then we went to the doggie day care yard. There was feces all over the yard i counted 8 piles in a yard that had no dogs. While we were out there the kennel helper she had was letting a new group into the yard with would cleaning up the piles first.

While this may not seem like a big deal. If there idea of care is to let a dog play in a dirty yard, be left on a table unsupervised, that could just off and break a leg on a tour what takes place when we are not there.

There are many good kennels in tampa this is just not one of them

These folks know how to care for pets. I've left my dog at their kennel for up to two weeks at a time. Last month I left my (now) 4 dogs and a cat. My small dog has gone to day care there for almost 3 yrs.

They kept me updated while on vacation as one of my dogs was recovering from an ulcer, they troubleshot issues in my absence. I trust them implicitly. And my dog LOVES to go.

The owner is fabulous, knows lots about dogs and I have never had one moment's hesitation. Everyone is so nice. The staff is unbelievable! They have relationships with the pets, treat them well--I can not say enough good things.

I don't know what that one reviewer's problem was, but this is a great doggie day care, a great vacation spa for the pets. Couldn't be more pleased. would give 6 stars if i could!

I agree with the person who left the positive comment. I am a freak about leaving my dog anywhere, and I toured a few places before I decided on leaving my dog at Bayshore. My hair stylist told me to talk w/Robin (the owner), I did and she was fabulous. She even commented that my dog and another dog had become great friends walking around outside together, and it was cute that Kaya was so happy to visit.

Pros: Friendly staff, give you updates if you call to check-in from out of town

Cons: Make an appointment, especially before the holidays

Ive been taking my lab here for years, and I abolsutely love this place. I read the other reviewer's comments and I would have like to hear the whole story. Robin, the owner, is awesome and truley loves pets and has always been very helpful. My suggestion is to go and see for yourself, because the place is HUGE and the dogs have tons of play areas, which is why i take my dog so he can play with others. Its a shame that somebody is trying to ruin the experience for everyone else.

Pros: Very clean and convenient, just a nice place to bring your pet.

Cons: boarding spaces fill up quick

The owner is nasty and unfit to care for animals. If you love your pets you will spare them from this horrible place!
