Wish I could give Dr.Goebel a 100 plus stars because he deserves it! I have known him since 1984. He took wonderfull care of my deceased dog and now my current dog.
I have never known a more caring, patient, kind hearted individual. He truly loves his patients and takes his time and explains everything.
His staff is truly wonderfull too! I only wish I could find my own Physician that treated humans as well as Dr. Goebel treats our pets!

This veterinarian is excellent. He takes the time to explain everything very thoroughly, answers any questions, and LISTENS to his clients, which is very important, since animals can not speak for themselves. Not only is he caring, but he brings years of experience to the 'table', and he truly cares about the animals that he treats, remembering that these animals are someone's beloved family members.

Office staff is very good, too, and very caring, as are the techs. One tech in particular, Beth, is truly an angel. I have a bad back, and she has personally made a trip to the parking lot to pick up our furbaby and her carrier so that I didn't have to strain my back carrying her into the office. In addition, it's very clear that she loves animals, and the patients react accordingly, as they can sense when a person is genuinely concerned. Every tech employed by Dr. Goebel is an animal lover and one tech, whom I affectionately call, 'the cat whisperer' has numerous cats in her family.

If a client wishes that a particular test be done on their pet, this veterinarian will do his best to accomodate, as long as he feels the request is a reasonable one. For example, I like to have yearly labs, i.e. chem panel and CBC, done on our babies, and sometimes I ask that they be done even more often if the pet is exhibiting any observable change in behavior or what is the 'norm' for that pet. Dr. Goebel has never failed to accomodate our wishes.

Many people may not be willing to pay for those tests on a yearly or more frequent basis, since they are not inexpensive. Bloodwork, according to Dr. Goebel, is just as important in our pets as it in in human patients, as it can give an overall picture of the pet's health, or pick up any subtle changes and perhaps even prevent a major problem from arising, if addressed before it gets out of hand.

He has voiced the opinion that his clients are the best advocates for the health of their beloved pets, as it is they who observe the pets' behavior and would be the first to notice any subtle changes indicative of illness.

In addition, if you have done research on a subject, Dr. Goebel will not be offended if you bring that up. For instance, I have researched the overuse of vaccinations, (there is new protocol, be sure to do your own research) and I mentioned this to him and he was not offended, whereas some veterinarians would be, as they do not like clients who ask questions or are well informed. I also know that Dr. Goebel has done lots of work with organizations that help abused animals. Dr. Goebel is a credit to his profession and to the human race. It was very traumatic for us when our vet of 15 years died of lung cancer, and I am grateful to have found someone of the caliber of Dr. Goebel to take care of our girls.

Years of experience and the ability to recognize a serious problem are just as important as high tech equipment, and putting the welfare of the patient first is equally as important as an advanced degree.

I highly recommend this vet.

Kind and wonderful vet practice I have been going to for years. It is not an unusual thing for patients to come from far away for care. I myself travel in from DeLand. One appointment and your pet will let you know you have went to the right place.
