Rickey's Restaurant & Lounge

There's so much to say about how docs portray people, things, events, inaccurately, that I won't waste time here. But it's important to consider that the goal of a documentary such as King of Kong is to entertain, not necessarily to portray people and events realistically. Human beings are complex and it's unfortunate that most documentary filmmakers can't or won't portray such complexities. More than most documentary films, King of Kong is guilty of this.

I urge anyone who has seen the film to Google Billy Mitchell, see all the charity work he's done, and be sure to check out his new high score.

This guy is a fraud and cheater!!! See the movie, Fist Full of Quaters, to see what a spineless weasel this loser is and then determine if you want to throw any of your hard earned money his way!

Don't listen to Jc. I'll admit sometimes its hit or miss and yes, billy could pay a lil better attention to the place and its staff. But its a great place to unwind after a hard day of whatever it is that you do. Wings are the best! Burgers are killer! Seafood is greeeeaaatttttt! The prices wont break your wallet either. I've been going to rickey's for years. CHECK IT OUT!

If you want to put dung in your mouth and cover it with bad hot sauce go here. TV are horrible and if you want to watch local sports go somewhere else, if the bartender has money on a game in your view he will not change the channel. I was told that the Hurricane game I wanted to watch was on other screens, and if I wanted to watch it on the big screen it was on behind me. He wouldn't change the channel because he had money on the game that was on the be screen that was more convenient for him. Bad service BAD wings. I sent my spoiled wings back and was offered a bag of ice for my warm beer. I told the bartender to take the wings off my check and I just wanted my bill. I waited 10 minutes while he talked to another patron named Tommy about the money they had on the college basketball tournament. I ended up leaving without paying for the warm beer that I never drank or even knowing if the spoiled wings I sent back were removed from my bill. I guess they money he had on the game was more than I would of ended up tipping. I will never go back to this place that live on it's now jaded reputation.

The owner of this place, Billy Mitchell, is featured in the film documentary "King of Kong." It's pretty damned well clear from the movie that the guy was an unethical cheater, though he never fessed up to it. Don't take my word for it, but before patronizing this place, I highly recommend that you watch the film, or at least read up on Billy Mitchell, to judge for yourself what kind of a guy you're giving your money to.

I go to Rickey's every Monday night! Ok I admit it, I am a Karaoke nut and yes they have it! Not only that but their wings are the best! You can get them in Extra hot, regular or mild. Any way you order them, they are super yummy.

Rickeys use to be the place we would go for wings. Now, they have slacked in their service as well as the quality of their food. Their wings are usually very greasy and soggy. The sauce is still some of the best, but without good wings you can't enjoy that either. I hope to see them try to build their business back to what it use to be.

I really like this restaurant. Located in Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd.
The food is very good. I especially like their burgers and wings. Great atmosphere for the whole family. They offer free popcorn, have a free trivia game that can be played in the restaurant while you wait and eat. It's fun! They also have some arcade games like Pac Man.
Prices are reasonable too! I have done take out as well and it has been very accomadating and the food is always prepared correctly and on time!
