My girlfriend and I have lived her almost 2 years and I must say it's been 2 years too long. We moved here from PA and thought the place was great at first then all of a sudden we were told there would be construction on all the apartment

I signed a year lease with this community back in February of 2013, the area seemed nice, apartment decent, and their receptionist at the office an amazing and kind woman named Marie. Little did I Know what I was walking into. This

This place has security officers on duty for what? They allow anybody to enter through the main gate if you use the resident side just go to the gate they'll open it for you no questions asked. hell they don't care. Both pools have had human fences in them a few times. The parking is a joke within a joke. I have lived here since the end of jan 2013 my lease is almost up i can't wait to leave this nightmare within a nightmare...

I have to agree with the most recent reviews as well as the ones from a few years back. This place is a complete and total joke!!! The parking and towing issues ARE still a problem as well as trying to get parking passes. There seems to always be a lot of trash and debris scattered about the property. I can't even take a walk around the pond without dodging and stepping over the piles of dog poo not mention around the mailboxes. There's always piles of furniture around the dumpster which is a HUGE eyesore to have to look at every single day until it's picked up and then the process starts all over again the following week and it's quite embarrassing to invite guests over due to the 'eye sore' at the dumpster. I've seen bags of trash and pizza boxes sitting outside other resident's homes which is irritating. It seems as if there are some issues that cannot be properly addressed. The office staff (might I add I've seen several different receptionists) usually are not friendly and never willing to help take care of issues; they never seem to be on the same page. The overall feeling of safety, security and management at The Hamptons is a big fat ZERO. I would never recommend this place to anyone as mentioned in a previous review it is definitely GHETTO living.

My boyfriend was so egar to move into the Hamptons because of the lake and the "cool" amenities. We have been there for 1.5 months. Everything so far has been all wrong!!!!! From move in day we have had these annoying bugs all over the house that bite. The amazing property manager will not do anything for us. His reply was that we live in Florida and basically "deal with it". When it rains our bedrooms look like its raining too leaving the carpet soaking wet. Not to mention the ridiculous construction that is about to take place, allowing strange construction men to put up dust walls 4ft from the walls as well as leaving them to enter the unit whenever they please. No one told us about this prior. The units are not safe or secure. Our basement neighbor got her door kicked in and before we moved in, my personal unit was a prostitution house. Metrowest in general is not a safe environment especially if you have small childern. I advise anyone who is thinking about moving in the Hamptons or anywhere in metrowest to DO YOUR RESEARCH or you will be out of luck like we are stuck for another 10 months!!!!!!

The Good: Nice location, easy access to I-4, Kirkman, Hiawassee, etc. Beautiful view if you are on the Turkey Lake side! Several Amenities, including two pools, a basketball center and workout center.

The Bad: The builders didn't do their homework when they built the place. It is not weatherproof at all. Bottom floors on the lake side are mostly vacant due to water damage and mold. The front buildings have been undergoing constant construction for over a year now and still aren't halfway! The other buildings will supposedly follow suit, so this could be an active construction zone for decades to come! Original owners are involved in a civil suit over shoddy construction that will complicate every facet of your stay here.

The Ugly: PARKING! Management provides an EVIL towing company (Priority One Towing) with a list of people parking on property to tow them the second your pass expires. They make getting a new pass as hard as possible, the new parking website to make things "easier" doesn't work on most computer systems, and they will find any excuse to hold your car to get more money. When I was towed (the second time) they kept it overnight because I had NC plates (turns out this is illegal, but I didn't know at the time) and I was forced to get new plates. Supposedly, this is all in the name of security, but the side gates don't lock and you could just sneak in after a resident if you drive behind them. It would almost be easier NOT to register a visitor with the front gate, since Priority One Towing would not be informed that you were on property (not that I recommend that strategy).

My wife and I have lived at the Hamptons at Metrowest for four years. The towing policy is out of control. We're moving out as soon as our lease expires. They tried to tow my wife's car b/c the parking pass wasn't clearly visible, as it

it is a bit loud. I am on the third floor. So far I have not had any issues with mold. So far I have been lucky I guess. There is security walking around 24 hours a day. The bar and grill is within walking distance which is great for watching football game or even a date(they have live musci occasionally). It seems safe but there is a major problem throughout the community. If I had known what I know now about the condition of the buildings I would probably hold off on renting or buying until the current lawsuits with the developer are settled.

I have been renting for many years now, and I have never been to a place that was more poorly managed. On paper The Hamptons look great, but from living here I can tell you how unprofessional and flat out cheap this place is. For anyone looking for a fun and friendly place, I urge you to look elsewhere. If it were up to me, this place wouldn't even have a star.

I too bought a condo in the Hamptons at MetroWest. The former review forgot to mention the prostitution ring as well as the 2 meth labs they busted. I loved living there, but the HOA doubled in 2 yrs, got assessed which doubled it again, and I was paying over $1300 for a 1BR 658 sq ft unit. Tried to sell for 2 and 1/2 yrs. It's also in foreclosure now. Caused me to file bankrupcy. Walk along the lake and all of the bottom units are vacant due to mold and water intrusion. Also, no bank will finance a new buyer due to the $20 million lawsuit against the developer. More than half the complex is empty now. I saw a 2BR for sale for 35K... I paid 125k for a 1BR! I got hosed!!!

This association has gone from bad to worse. The developer is a crook. I bought a condo on the lake and it had mold issues that wouldn't go away. I couldn't rent out the place or even sell it because of the smell. The developer took forever to address my problem, and still never fixed it. Now it is in foreclosure. The residents don't seem to care. There have been more than a couple of meth labs that have been busted. Good luck if you think you are going to be living in a quality association.
