Met my wife there in 2006. Great bar, and great food. Drinks are priced good too. Wife and I still go back there when we stay at our house in Jax. Try the sausage rolls, they are awesome. I love this bar, but my favorite place to visit is Petes bar in Neptune Beach.

We live up in Waycross, Ga and love visiting my hometown of Jax beach. No trip is complete without a visit to L.I.P. It's convienently located right across from the pier with great waitstaff and cold beer. It's relaxing (in the daytime) for a nice break from the heat. At night it's crowded and quite fun, the entertainment is quite raucous and always makes for a good time. We love to take our northern and western friends to the beach when they visit the South and we ALWAYS take them to Lynch's.

Pros: You can smoke in a bar in Florida.

Cons: Crowded at night.

Great place for live music or for St. Patrick's Day. Sunday nights are really fun. They have so many beers and different liquors to choose from. Bartenders are actually nice and even nice to look at. Their shepherd's pis is pretty amazing.

If ever in the Jax. Beach area, looking for great Irish food, I would suggest you stop in to Lynches. There food is really good and if you are down at the Beach at night stop in also. It is really packed during the weekends but you will have a good time there. If you get cramped feeling with all the people you can go outside, They have a inclosed area in the back of the bar. I have always enjoyed the food and the party atmosphere.

This little irish pub is good for live music and karaoke. It is a smoking establishment and it does get crowded on friday and saturday nights, so come early. They have good irish food as well, if you want to come early for lunch or dinner. They just added on an outside area with a bar too, so you can get some fresh air. Lynch's is in a prime area with all the other jax beach favorite bars. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Great place to go anytime, gets crowded on the weekend at night. I like to go in the daytime on Saturday so I can enjoy a good beer and something to eat. Live music at night, irish style.

I must disagree with the previous reviewer as I believe that he/she didn't give the place a chance. I myself have been a regular at Lynch's for around eight years now and do not like people bad-mouthing the place. Yes, it's far from perfect but there is a lot to be said about the ambience that Lynch's holds which, in my opinion, supercedes any negative attributes it may possess. Nevertheless, in a way Lynch's may have become a victim of it's own success as far as it being super-crowded late night but there a some very obvious reasons why it has become one of Jacksonville's most famous watering holes - all of those people can't be wrong, right?
I actually really enjoy the diversity of the entertainment at the pub. On any given night there could be anything from traditional Irish music to an 80's cover band which gives the place a fresh feel on any day of the week - I once went there for six days in a row and experienced a different band on each visit! I also appreciate the fact that there are always new beers on tap which means that a lazy so and so such as myself does not like to have to travel far to try new things. I also get a kick out of the charismatic staff of this establishment. Indeed, as I am now hopefully considered a regular, I may have grown fond to certain members of staff, however, from the first day I set foot in this establishment I was made to feel very welcome.
In today's society it is had to find a place as welcoming as Lynch's due to the whole politically correct culture which appears to be the modern day norm. Personally, I love to drink and smoke and enjoy being in the company of those who enjoy doing the same thing. This being said, for those of you who are not content with the simple pleasures of life and may strive for unattainable standards, the chances are that you will not dig Lynch's Irish Pub - for everyone else please visit this place at least once in your life.
Cheers.

Pros: Atmosphere / Pricing / Location

Cons: Sometimes a little overcrowded late night.

Been there done that! Nothing memorable or special about this place. And the bar counter had a layer of grease on it...yucky.

Pros: Nice ashtrays

Cons: How much time do I have?

In a time where everyone else seems to have gone poser crazy, Lynch's continues to stay true to the cause and is easily still the best watering hole in the area. This place continues to provide excellent, free entertainment and reasonably priced drinks. The service is very good and the food is surprisingly, for a pub, decent. I also like the way that Lynch's does not cater to any specific type of clientele only and that they have around a 50/50 men to women split. This place is unlike any other in Jacksonville with customers ranging from NFL players to doctors to even some members of the clergy. I love this place........

I really enjoy going out to Lynch's. The service is great, the bouncers are understanding and the crowd is enjoyable. It allows smoking so sometimes it can get bad. The bartenders are cool and understand that they work at a bar and will be rushed at times. And it is Irish so what's not to love.

Being a member of the "older' brigade I appreciate the early evening (genuine) Irish entertainment that Lynch's provide on Friday and Saturday Evenings. Great, particularly that Guy from Wexford, Ireland.!

I have tried out the new so-called Irish Pubs in Jacksonville and none of them come close to Lynch's. It is so obvious that the new places are trying to be so much like the original Pub but they all fail miserably. Keep up the good work LIP.

This place is a great place to go. People are always up for some good conversation. The food is outstanding (especially the burgers!) The prices are very reasonable. They have a lot of choices in beers including my favorite (Guinness of course!). Infact, I think Ill drive down there right now!

Great place to go and kick back with friends, but if your going go to meet people good luck. Most people come here with people they already know.

What a wonderful place to find good comfort food. The Scotch egg was a pleasant supprise, and the coconut shrimp were sooo sweet. The pastry on top the Irish stew flaked apart at a touch, and the chunks of meet were so tender and big. AND they had WOODCHUCK!!!!!!!!! (a draft cider). The service was excellent and the locals colorful. This is a nice place to take even the children for lunch. Sit by the window and watch the parade of local color pass, or sit at the bar and become a part of the local color, either way this place is a winner!
