I went to Toyota of Orlando 7 years ago and had a bad experience with a high pressured salesman who was wearing lots of gold jewerly and bragging about his new boat and girlfriend. They put a lot of pressure on me, gave me a bad trade-in number and I left.

I tried again in July 2010. The salesman in the lot was very young and nice. He asked me to come in so he could get my information even though I told him I was not interested. He looked stressed and said please come in or I will get in trouble. He sat me at a table and then a head salesman came over and really put on pressure. I felt so sorry for the young salesman and couldn't figure out why he worked there. I left and will never go back.

Appalling service right from the moment you make the decision to book your service online to moment you collect your vehicle from them. Since coming to the US i have owned a Camry, Highlander, Matrix and now a 4Runner which I bought for cash from Toyota of Orlando. Out the gate you can not select from the website what service you want and therefore cannot book a service, so you end up calling them, wait forever on the phone before they finally talk to you. Arrive for the service and I am ignored and when I do get someone to help me they are curt at best. I go to collect my car they can't find the paperwork then they can't find the keys. While waiting I find a hitch step to go in my hitch receiver (with Toyota of Orlando written on it, some free advertising for them). I am told that I cannot pay for them item at the same time as I pay for my service. I will have to go to the Parts counter. Do as I am asked and go to the counter one guy there dealing with another customer, this customer has to go and check something so leaves, the phone rings and the parts guy ignores me and picks up the phone.

After waiting nearly 15 minutes to buy a $15 part that I had in my hand I leave.

I have probably spent the best part of $60-70K with this dealer, you would also think that after all the bad publicity that Toyota have had recently you would have thought that they would be more attentive. I will not be returning to this dealer

Then off to finance, with less then perfect credit, and very expecific payment and needs in purchase I did what a girl can do best. Stated the facts, and stick to them. And went ahead to tell them (Michael finance), if it does not absolutely meet my criteria I wont sign a damn thing!!! And so it was... after 20 minutes of tossing papers and calling 4 different banks I got a great deal. At only 5.4% APR and the payments right on my range. I smiled wide, and they all new this difficult customer was very pleased!!! They will try their best to get you in there, you just have to learn to deal with them to get the best of your car purchasing experience! Best deal, best price and in an hour I was driving my 2010 car!!! :D

Called the dealership on specific car with VIN#. Jesus guy called back to say it is available at $23,999 and come in the dealership to complete the transaction. Arrived at dealership next day finding the price of the car is now $1K more (cashback already included in the price). Deny, deny, deny that I ever called and they quoted the previous price. Negotiated the price which went fine until they claim they will not accept own financing payment using bank draft, then this Kyle guy baits you into signing their own financing and claiming it is required by Patriot Act. Asked him to name the verbiage of the Act why I have to give SS# since I am not financing with them, guess what he can't find any. His goal was to bait and switch you to their financing all along. Told him he is abusing the Patriot Act and a liar. Will never do business with this place.

White shirt sales guy who accompanied me on test drive was very knowledgeable and friendly though.

Their catch phrase of UNBELIEVABLE is true. DO NOT BELIEVE IT.

Chito showed me the cars and Tom handled the purchase. Neither one tried to pressure me into a car on the spot, nor did they push me out the door when I told them that I was not going to buy that day. They were helpful on showing me my options at Toyota (I was looking for a hybrid) and informed me the comparative advantages of the Toyota. Once I decided that I wanted the Toyota, I did research and figured a fair price for the car. Toyota of Orlando had the best price in the area (I inquired at 5 different area dealerships). I strongly recommend doing your research ahead of time (two essential sites are edmunds and moreover carbuyingtips - a very helpful site). In the end, I'm endorsing the two salespeople that i worked with as much as anything. My first visit to the Toyota of Orlando lot left a bad impression (much like the other reviewers). My experience with Chito and Tom was a different story, and I would credit them with "saving" the sale. I've been to so many dealers and Toyota of Orlando is the worst one ever. The staffs and the sales manager there are just plain rude. If you want to buy a car, look elsewhere. You have the money and therefore you should be treated with respect. They look and treat you as though you don't have the money to buy! That is just not acceptable. If you can't get someone to treat you nicely, how can you negotiate a good price for your car?

I was looking for a cheap reliable second family car & went to this dealership.

The vehicle sales staff were helpful but seemed to push me towards the purchase of a new car, rather than to anything used.

I was taken into the finance area & to see what a new car would cost to lease. When I thanked them for the information & said that I would think about it, the head salesman was called & the pressure began. He could upgrade the model of new car & give me the same monthly payments, etc etc. I couldn't seem to get him to understand that MY needs were for a cheap reliable used car.

Also, for about a month I regularly received phone calls from them even though I asked that they stop.

I like Toyotas, but will NOT deal with the high pressure salesmanship of Toyota of Orlando.
