Regency Square 20 Amc Theatres

I have to agree with Tony G. This theatre is in desperate need of an upgrade. I've lived in the Brandon area for most of my life and know first hand how old this theatre is...my husband and I were just commenting on how it is becoming like the old Brandon Twin if anyone out there remembers that theatre. Your shoes stick to the floor and the seats are the same as when I graduated from high school almost 20 years ago. The stadium seating is nicer but, unless we have the kids with us and don't want to drive as far, we frequent the muvico theatre in Ybor.

It's actually a great movie theater if you get one of the stadium seating theaters, which are awesome. However, the smaller flat theaters do suck and are very uncomfortable. They should consider upgrading the seating at minimum.

I don't know what people were smoking that gave these reviews. This place sucks. Uncomfortable seating, terrible sound quality...the place is just plain old. They need to either renovate or tear down and build a new one. It's worth the drive to go to Muvico or Cobb's DLP Theatre in Wesley Chapel.

I finally got to go Sunday to Regency Square 20 AMC Theaters to use my $25.00 gift card. My husband and I got there at 1pm just leaving us an half an hour to see the movie "Click" in Theater 14. The matine cost $6.00 dollars. So for two tickets it cost $12.00 Dollars. My Husband dropped me off at the front box office. I went an got the tickets and waited for him to park the car. Being a holiday weekend he had to park in back of the theater. Finally we went in the front doors and got our drinks with popcorn which cost $13.50. I used the hole gift card and only had to put in .50 cent. We got to the theater found a seat, but being a big lady I found the seats uncomfortable. My husband asked an usher if their was a chair I could sit in, but they only had a wheel chair that I know I would have a hard time sitting in it. So the usher offered us a different movie to see in the stadium seating. So we picked "The Lake House" instead. My husband went with me with no complaints. I know he wanted to see "Click" real bad. We went down to theater 10 to see "The Lake House" got our seats which were very comfortable. The usher came looking for us and gave us two free passes to come back and see click in two week it would be in a stadium seating theater. I than found out the ushers name was Natalie. She was so nice kind and understanding. We found Regency Square 20 AMC Theaters to be a nice place to good see a movie. Regency Square 20 AMC Theaters are very clean and offer 15 different theaters.

This is my local theater that I go to approximately 1-2 times a month. It is older and only offers a few stadium seating theaters, usually reserved for new (big) releases.

They offer a reward type of card (free) which you can obtain from moviewatcher.com. You get points for going to the movies which you accrue towards free tickets, soda, or popcorn. Every Wednesday is free small popcorn day for cardholders, so I usually go on Wednesday.

I did experience poor sound quality in theater #13 once, and complained to them via email on their website, to which I received no reply. So if you have a complaint, I would avoid the website and complain directly to the staff at the theater.

Like all theaters these days, you will be watching a ton of commercials prior to the movie, and pay an arm and a leg for concessions, but that's not abnormal.

The staff is normal high schoolers who are just there to make some money and don't particularly care about anything. The video games are hit and miss in the lobby. I've had some not work, but the attendant at the counter has always refunded my money.

Bathrooms have always been clean and stocked with TP.

It's the only theater in Brandon, so unless you want to drive to the more superior Muvico Starlight 20 in New Tampa, you'll be going here.

PROS: location, only theater in Brandon
CONS: Occassional sound issues and video game problems

My family and i go to this theater every weekend. there are many movies playing at one time so there are lots of selectioins and movie times. nice clean theater. My kids love it.

We have spent every wednesday morning here for the wonderful movie program that they have for kids. They show previously release movies like Shrek, shrek 2, sponge bob, etc. Parents get in free. Kids have a blast. They also have the regular released movies that start after the summer kids movies let out. They have stadium seating in most theaters.

Regency Square 20 AMC Theaters is a wonderful movie theater. Not only is it a favorite of teens, but it makes for a wonderful movie theater experience. They have stadium seating in some of the theaters, and the location is great. They have easily accessible parking and keep the theater very clean.

Located in Brandon, one of the more youthful, fun-oriented cities on Florida's west coast, Regency Square 20 AMC offers a lot. It's a huge complex that sits on the edge of Regency Square, a large strip mall with shops and restaurants.

This is a megaplex with 20 screens, theater seating, lots of food choices, lots of films and film times, and the "atmosphere" of the young and the hip, out on date night. It's about a dollar more expensive, per ticket, than some of its contemporaries, but for that getaway experience, it's a lot of fun.

PROS: worth a drive for its seating, projection, choices and atmosphere
CONS: more expensive than the average theater
