I buy cakes from this bakery all the time. They are not too sweet, just the right flavor. I love the white icing (no food coloring or added anything), add fruit (optional), tastes so fresh & the cake is spongy delicious. Such a great deal, so much better than publix and price is fairly inexpensive. Guests talks about how special the cake is and almost always ask where I got the cake. I just ordered one today $38.00 for a 14" round cake. One day notice is sufficient. Wish I got my wedding cake from here. oh well, birthdays yay!

YUM!!!

After eating at China Yuan in the same strip mall, my eyes glanced around the parking lot.. and saw Oriental Bakery written across the top of the building.. I was a little cautious because it was in the corner and I was like wait a minute there is no one in there and waht is going on?

I opened the door and found a great selection of pastries and baked goods like ones I ate while i was in Korea, Japan, etc.. I pretty much bought one of everything, wife's cake, coconut bun, pineapple bun, etc.. i did see they had baklava, honey dew roll cakes and coffee roll cakes($6). Most of the individual pastries were less than a $1.

I was not expecting anything to taste good until i got home and tried them.. not too sweet just perfect.. I will definitely be back next weekend.

Who knew, asian bakery in tampa...

Located in a small strip mall on North Armenia near Waters Ave, Xie's Oriental Bakery is the place to go if you want authentic and fresh Chinese baked goods!

They have a fairly large selection to choose from: Roast Pork Buns, Coconut Powder Buns (both elongated and round), butter buns, custard buns, egg tarts (yum!), hot dog buns, ham and egg buns, wife cake, almond cookie (very large), cupcakes, cream filled buns and even moon cakes! If you want cold sweets, they have that too; lemon jelly and cream rolls, and birthday cakes,

They also American style sweets such as baklava and chocolate cake.

I heartily recommend the egg tarts and coconut powder buns; your family will love it! All the items appear to be baked on site as they constantly bring out fresh batches from the adjoining room.

The staff have very limited English speaking abilities, but that shouldn't be a problem as all the items are posted in English with pricing.

If you live near Tampa, this is the place to go. The only other place that I know of in central Florida that offers a large selection of fresh baked Chinese goods is the 1st Oriental Supermarket in Orlando.

PROS: Large selection of delicious Chinese baked goods.
CONS: Limited communication abilities from staff.
