If you love to sing or play an instrument and are a Christian or want to be, Plantation Presbyterian Church may be the place for you. Most small churches are unable to provide a large choir or instrumental group. Our church has a 22 voice SATB choir and an orchestra that numbers 14 woodwind, brass and keyboard players. The keyboards provide the string sounds, but parts are available for violin, viola, cello, and bass viol players. The choir practices every Wednesday night at 7:30 for an hour and a half. The orchestra practices on Sundays before church when we are preparing for a special Sunday service. The total number of orchestra rehearsals per year is approx. fifteen, and rehearsals are one hour in length. Our church service begins at 11:00 AM, so why not come and check out our music and our wonderful service. If you like a church that feels like family this is the place. If you like a small church that has great music this iis definitely the place. I know the person that is writing this is bias, because I am the music director, but if you are interested, I have a Master's degree in music from Butler University, Jordan College of Music, and I taught high school instrumental music for 36 years, producing some nationally famous bands, for which I received special recognition. I could not stand not being involved with music, so this has been my musical outlet for the past 6 years, first as a member of the choir and then as the choir and orchestra director. We all volunteer our service to the Glory of God, including myself, and we have a spot waiting for you.

Sincerely, Darrel Horton
