My 6 year old son was at this pit for a toral of 7 days for the "winter break camp"
In that time he was phycsically abused by other children that were from ages 10-12 years old. He was pushed into the sand, had sand thrown in his ears, was punched and kicked repeatedely by 5 boys at one time that offered each other $5 to punch my son. I asked for the younger kids to be seperated from the older boys-it NEVER HAPPENED.
This pit did not notify me when this happened- my son had to have a complete meltdown in the car when I asked him why he was crying and was so dirty.
I got out of the car and went back inside and demanded to speak to the director- (who by the way is so manipulative and borderline I am pretty sure she carries a diagnosis )..well it was completely minimized and basically brushed under the rug.bLA bLA bLA boys will be boys...
Last night when we got home and I got my sons bath ready I saw bruises on his back, ribs and all over his legs. They were not there the day before because I gave him a bath and he also was not at this pit the day before.
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW GUILTY I FELT FOR ENTRUSTING THESE PEOPLE WITH MY SON.
He was up until 11 pm worrying and pleading with me not to take him back to CWOL (crappy world of losers)
Please Please Please let me be your voice of experience. Please hear me!! Thank you

Child's World of Learning is straight garbage. I went there when I was just a little guy, about 4 or 5 years old. I remember how awful it was. Not getting snacks, the rudeness from the teachers and staff. They treated me like I was a prisoner. There was maybe 1 or 2 good teachers that I can remember. Other than that, this place is a dive. I hope it closes down forever. As for Sandy, of course you would say that this is a good place because all you want is money. You're full of sh%$. Please for any parent out there. Think very hard about where you decide to put your child. This is the last place in the world to send your child. I think the majority of parents and students that went there would agree with me. BTW, learn how to spell Sandy.

My daughter was in the 1yr old class She loved it here! She learned so many words from interacting with the children Her diaper was never wet upon pick up and they were great about changing her clothes if she was messy.

As a former teacher here that left because I didnt feel it was a good enviroment for my son. I am glad that everyone is starting to see the real CWOL. The DCF lady doesnt care about the children there I dont even think she looks through their files because no one there has their credentials like the tell you when they give tours.FYI this place lost its gold seal credentials and cant get them back. They have cleaning people that come in at night and do nothing but they wont even supply the proper tools needed to clean you classrooms on your own. They never have any supplies needed in a classroom and the toys are all picked out of peoples garbage. The food is old and expired. I once had to bring it to the cooks attention that the milk was 4 days out of date. The old man in the office Mr. Martin will yell at children in the office all day long and threaten them. The ratios are never followed for those of you that dont know the ratios it is 4 to 1 in the baby room 11 to 1 in the 2's 15 to one in the 3's and vpk max in the classroom is 18 and that is with 2 teachers at all times. This place shouldnt even be able to take kids and its such a shame because it is a beautiful building in a great location. I hope that this will help in not making the mistake that i did and that is bringing your children to the dungeon.

Don't just go by my review...visit the place youself and you will see what I mean. When I walked in there was a little boy sitting in a chair behind the reception desk and an older man was yellling at him. I am not sure what that was about but the little boy just sat there crying. When you walk in the door it is very mundane and things are randomly taped to the walls. You don't get a feeling that it is even a daycare and it does not appear to be organized. You don't feel happiness. If you read any of their information it is full of typos...start with their brochure they have sitting on their counter and read a few flyers on the walls. Come on, really, if the people that run it don't even know how to spell, that should tell you alot about their business. After standing in the front area for a few minutes you start to notice how dirty it is and then comes the odor. It is not someone cooking lunch, it smells like urine. I felt like leaving before I even got started. Then this person came out from the back and asked if I would like a tour. She was very nice, her name was Connie. I took the tour and this is what I observed. Teachers appeared to be stressed. The kids did not appear to be happy. There were hardly any toys in the rooms and the toys that were there looked like they came from the dump. There were stained carpets on the floors in the classrooms, carpets that you would not want your kids sitting on. Classrooms did not look like a fun learning environment. One of the teachers made a comment to Connie - we need supplies, we need something for these kids to do. Then she said something like, I am out of ratio and Connie said, I know we are working on it. I am not sure what that meant but I don't think it was good. I honestly have to say, that I would not leave my daughter there. I felt very bad for the babies in the baby room and it would just make me cry to think about my daughter being left there. It did not look like anything in there was taken care of. It looked dumpy. Teacher's not happy...kids not happy.

My son went to CWOL when he was in VPK. But I will not let my other son go to that school. Terrible place. Just like a daycare. If you want your kids to learn don't send them there. The first time I walked in the school I just never really liked the place. The staff were not approachable, the teachers were not friendly.
For the entire school yr. my son's section changed teachers 3 times. He finally, learned to write his name at the end of the school year.
CWOL sucks! I will not recommend it.

I used to go to CWOL when I was in elementary school and I was treated good. "NOT". Teachers are very rude, they put you done and could give a rats butt if u do get a snack or not. There were days when my brother and I would come home starving. By far this place would be your children's nightmares a reality. The school was very dirty, the food was crappy, and so called teachers don't deserve that title.

ARE YOU KIDDING this place is HORRIBLE. Did they pay those people to lie. Its filthy the teachers are incompetent, there is not structured program, all they do is make kids sleep on filthy foam on the floor, the toilets are overflowing with sewer and all they do is put garbage bags over them with crap on the floor. So called "teachers" and i use this term very loosely, yell, push the kids, all they care is money, they cut corners at every turn the children are the ones suffering. No locks on doors so anyone can come in. I have not met anyone in person who likes this place. I cant belive its still in bisiness. Do not take you kids there it will scar them for life.

My Daughter loves it here! She has been in and out since she was a infant ( due to finances) .She has had rotation of teachers but it doesn't affect her at all. They actually teach the kids and don't babysit like most daycares today! I couldn't have chosen a better daycare. My son will be enrolling in the daycare next year and i am pretty sure he will love it as well.

Cwol is a really awesome place for kids to be. The staff here are very friendly and truly have a passion for kids. The classrooms are pretty organized and they always have educational activities. I have worked at a daycare and people don't realize the patience and hard work thats involved when it comes to kids. The children love it there!

They exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend Child's World of Learning to my friends and other family members. My son and daughter both went here and my husband and I are thankful for the experience. Janel Morales, the director, helped us make the right decision by enrolling our children. They helped teach our children how to read, write and table side manners. We were impressed when our son Alex improved the ability to write his name and read our storybooks. Thank you Child's World of Learning!

My children only went to this facility for a very short amount of time. I should say that perhaps the staff should learn how to spell when they write a review and learn the proper use of wording such as the difference between (no and know) I know they both sound the same but have two different meanings! For one they never asked to see any ID or even spoke to myself or my husband when we went to pick up our kids 3 and 6. My daughter complained after only 2 days that the teacher just yelled all the time and if they were not being quite enough they did not get snack that day. All they gave them to drink was water all day and my son said they did not feed him lunch! I was very disppointed and hate the fact that I have to leave my kids in daycare in the first place. However, most families now do have 2 working parents to make ends meet and would hope that if they leave their children in daycare that the workers there actually like children and have the patience and training to work with them on a daily basis. I also find it funny that they only good reviews on here are actually written by the faculty staff and sound very uneducated. I would not recommend this child care facility to anyone!

This is the most horrible center you could ever place your child in. It is a warehouse for children. The food they serve the kids is disgusting and they will not give you a discount if you provide food that actually has nutritional value. If it is raining out during their outside time the children get to sit on a bench with their hands folded. At the end of the day all of the children (no matter what the age) are in a darkened room watching TV. Under no circumstances should you send your child here. There are so many other QUALITY child care options available.

I can tell you all about C.W.O.L I think its a great place to send your kids my daughter started there when she was 3yrs old she is almost 11 and she loves it there, all my babies have gone there , my last three kids have been there since they were two weeks old and the teachers have took wonderful care of them they love my babies like they are there's, i wouldn't trust any other place with my kids, people don't understand how hard it is to be a teacher, its takes someone special to do that job. the teachers at C.W.O.L are not only there to teach but to handle everyday parenting, changing diapers, feeding, wiping noses cleaning faces and hands, making sure your child is loved, when your child cries in the morning for there parents when they drop them off its that teacher who console your child and makes him/her happy, I work there so i no, I have been employed there six years and nothing could make me leave and its not for the money, its because i no when i leave my kids in that classroom they are loved and well taken care of, for all those people that bashed us, where you at now, if you could do a better job then us then why are your kids in daycare all day-instead of at home with perfect parents, no one is perfect everyone has faults, but I think its a great place to have your kids in and a great job to work, The owners are wonderful people they love my kids and yours like there own, In my opinion if you want a daycare that has a great staff, family owned, and people that care then this is the place, and to clarify things, if your gonna bash us learn to spell we offer free vpk if you need a refreshed course in spelling or hit the box check spelling.

We had our 4 month old foster son in this day care facility for 2 weeks. There is a back story to why he was there for only two weeks, but it was not the facilities fault. The state asked us to place him in a medical facility with an on site nurse due to chronic medical problems. The staff in the infant room were wonderful and extremely helpful to us with our son. They were also helpful when we needed to go there during the afternoon to give our baby his medicine. They were always on the ball with the babies and had two people in the room at all times feeding, rocking and playing with the babies that were awake. They were also very flexible with his mothers weekly visits and were happy to take him back again after we returned from the visits.

I only took one issue with the facility and that was a teacher who was constantly yelling at the kids in the first playroom on your left as you walk in. She would be yelling in the morning when I dropped him off and yelling even louder in the afternoon when I picked him up. Some of the things she was saying I felt were inappropriate to be saying to children. I believe that was the area where children 3-5 are kept.

For an infant I would highly recommend this place, you will never be disappointed with the ladies who run that area of Child's World of Learning. Thank you, thank you again for everything you did for our baby! I am really going to miss them, but if we have another placement I will be sure to use them again for our infants.

My 4 year old son started this school in August. By Mid september he no longer wanted to go to school. I later found out that another boy had been kicking and hitting my child! I spoke his teacher and the owners assitant and they both told me they knew who the child was and that he was a "Problem" and I was told that it would be handled. It never was!! My son also told me that his teachers ither yelled at him or were busy talking to other teachers. The classroom smelled awful and it wasn't very clean. There also was not alot of structre to the wrap around program. My son didn't learn anything while he was there. I STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend do NOT take your children here!

My grandchild started attending this facility in Jan 08. He was constantly sick after he started, until Easter Sunday when he was admitted into Arnold Palmer Childrens Hospital in Orlando, Fl with pneumonia. Two days prior to this, I went to pick up my grandson and found him laying on the cold, dirty tile floor, no mat, asleep and running a fever. The attendants did not notice the child was sick. Then on top of all this the facility was going to charge my daughter with a late fee because she failed to notify them the child would be out. Florida is currently under flood warnings because of tropical storm Fay. The day before we were going to get pounded, the empolyees were telling parents that if Volusia County Schools were going to close, that the facility would also close. Parents that work had to make other arrangements for childcare for what turned out to be four days. The following week when my daughter brought my grandson back to the facility, she was charged for the entire week instead of a prorated amount for the one day he was there. It just so happened, the owner and her parents, no other employees were called in to work, opened the facility during those four days without notifying parents that they were open and charged all parents for the entire week. We are looking for another facility and I do not recommend CWOL to anyone!!!! This isn't over yet!

We, Child's World of Learning, believe that our reputation speaks for itself. We are an APPLE and Gold Seal accredited facility with many years of experience. We are family owned and operated and are very proud of our service to our community. We are also very proud of our record and high scores with DCF and the Early Learning Coalition and invite you to check their websites. We serve approximately 400 children and are the largest child care facility in the area. We have a friendly, certified staff that go above and beyond for our parents and children. We also have an open door policy, so we invite anyone to come in and see for yourselves what a great place we have to love, teach, and care for your child.

This place looks like they have alot to offer and they talk a good game, but they could care less about the children. The only thing Child's World of Learning is interested in is making money. There are so many children at this facility and not enough staff. EVERY day (during their short time at this facility) we picked up our 3 and 5 year old children (the 5 year old was in VPK) we saw children running around unattended, my son's face was FILTHY. There were layers upon layers of dirt. I wonder if they ever had these children wash before even eating. The last straw was when my mother went to pick up the kids (during their fifth week there-I can't believe I had them there that long) and they didn't even know who the kids were. Then they couldn't find them!!! My son was found sitting on the floor (after at least 15 minutes had past) in the back of the room behind a bookshelf crying and his sister was there consoling him. How can they not know who these kids are and WHERE THEY ARE AT!!!! If that's not enough, if you are not right on time with your payment, the office staff become very, very rude.

This place is located in Orange city floridaThis place reminds me of a dungeon. The walls are bare and concrete. It smells like a old, musky, wet shower room. The bathroom doors are open and the toilets are not looked. The staff does not care about the children, all they care about money. If there was -100000000000000ets. on the rating system i would go further. If you do not care about your children this is the place for you. They let my baby, my life, out in a 60deg weather in a short sleeves and no jacket, while she was spiking a fever and no-one NOTICED.... My baby did not even have any strength to keep herhead up when a picked her up. NO-ONE CALLED TO TELL ME THAT MY BABY WAS SO SICK. The first 2 days she came back with bruising on her back and on her leg, and no one knew where they came from. They DID NOT watch my child. I trusted them with the love of my life with the most precious baby. And they broke that trust. They did not give my baby any snacks that i have provided. And this is the tip of the iceberg. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. WITH CHILDREN. Teachers yell at the kids. There are basically no toys, and the ones that they have are filthy. They sleep on dirty mats on filthy floor. THAT IS NO PLACE FOR A BABY.If you have children in this place TAKE THEM OUT.I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This facility is awesome, the ratios are great, clean, bright and filled with things for kids to do. Computer labs, swimming . It is a little far from where I live now But just may be worth the extra gas money. They are very organized. they have a Karate place next door and the bowling alley is in the back yard !!! My ds loved this place.
