I had simular problems --we built our home with PEREGRINE and I know they cut corners , the super was rarely on the job and very confrontational --they had NO respect fo the home owner. We pleaded with the owner STEVE FOSTER to help us -- he didn't LISTEN like it says in his mission statement on his webpage. If anything went wrong --it was a stand off until the first one blinked. I'm missing a sound proof wall I paid for , I guess they thought I wouldn't notice, thank god I have pictures one of the subs took for me! My shower ceiling collapsed too!The wood panels on my gareg door popped off and again ... no help! I just wait for the other shoe to drop! When I went to the BBB peregrine just dropped off the out of the BBB. Nice way to handle it! I would never recommend this builder to anyone -- I have built 3 homes in sarasota and this guy was the last one --and I will never build again after having to deal with this nightmare! It was not worth it. Mr foster's(the president of Peregrine) favorite saying is "it is what it is" that says volumes! WHY use a builder where you have to re-do his work because he will not stand behind his work???I just recieved a bid to fix my back lanai that was installed incorrectly and is cracking and water is coming into our garage ..$106k! I just want to know WHY Peregrine will not fix their work? Maybe they don't have enough insurance. I just wish they would honor their work. They blame it on the roofer for not sealing properly!! They hired the the roofer!, I would be very leary of this company's judgement! Try John Cannon Homes he was very professional and honest. This is my opinion

Purchased a new 3,600 ft Peregrine home in Fl July 2006. Here is just a sampling of problems: sub flooring not sealed properly at seams causing marble/italian tiles and grout on floors to split throughout; windows are not squared which becomes difficult to lock, open and close and fit for shades; electrical wiring issues; plumbing issues that revealed cemented over shut off valves, major scratches on wall mirrors. Many of these defects were not obvious to inspection or naked eye until home was lived in. The builders used compromised technicians who obviously were not supervised onsite.
