Pretty good food, really bad experience. We were rushed through our dinner and the owner was rude to us when we left. We were polite and pleasant and didn't tie up our table unreasonably. We were there for the Sunday brunch. There were 5 of us. We were there maybe 45 minutes. We ate the brunch and had a couple of beers. They began removing food and drinks from the table while we were still eating. When we left the owner himself was rude and unfriendly to us. We will never go there or suggest the place to others. Too bad too, as the food was pretty good.

I like to go and relax and listen to their trio. On Thurdsay nite that setup a mini buffet later in the evening. Small dance floor.

Great food, atmosphere is very nice. The biggest and most important drawback, Vic doesn't care about the twosome or foursome that walks in, only the buses that come from The Villages and surrounding communities. He allows the larger communities to direct how he does his business as they provide many diners weekly. I for one won't ever go back, but not due to the staff, only the owner and son.

Pros: Good food and surroundings

Cons: horrible to small parties catering to bus loads of business

Entered Vic's Embers at 5:30 after careful consideration of location for birthday celebration. Advised we would be seated in 20 minutes. After 45 minutes a bus arrived and all 30 or 40 were promptly attended to. Vic's does not take reservations and it is a first come, first serve (so they say, but I guess it depends). When we asked one person declared it wasn't his job - the bartender apologized profusely (she was the best thing about the place) - and Vic finally said we would be seated - obviously being seated after a bus would overload the kitchen and a nice birthday dinner would be a thought never realized. It was just a matter the owner not caring about the customer - for us, a celebration gone sour never to be remedied. We are new to the area but we will tell our story far and wide
