South Beach Animal Hospital

I have been taking my dog and cat to Dr. Mike Tenzer for over eight years and he is truly unparalleled as a Veterinarian and is a physician in every sense of the word. I have been through so much with my little dog Diva, and never once was I rushed or pushed aside because the hospital was too busy. Dr. Tenzer gives one hundred percent of himself to each of his patients and to their sometimes very distraught Owners! He listens to all of your concerns and worries without ever making you feel like you are wasting his time. He explores every possible and viable option for treatment; he is always current and aware of new studies or breakthroughs in veterinary medicine and pet care. He is always willing to try the least invasive treatment whenever possible, and always has the next plan of action clearly mapped out. Dr. Hatfield and the Staff at South Beach Animal Hospital take his lead and are all professional, caring and take excellent care of the animals; it is like a family when you are there. If your animal is sick or needs surgery it is stressful enough to have to deal with, and the staff go out of their way to help you get through it.

The Hospital environment is technologically up to date, impeccably clean and very welcoming. Dr. Tenzer's passion for the welfare and care of animals carries through his staff and hospital. Miami Beach is so very lucky to have this presence and I cannot imagine going anywhere else!

Ive been taking my pets to South Beach Animal Hospital since it opened over 10 years ago. I wouldnt take them anywhere else. Common sense advice and preventative medicine make serious health problems for my pets rare, and on those few occasions when one of my pets fell seriously ill, we had access to the best of cutting edge veterinary medicine. Dr. Tenzer thinks outside the box when he has to and is relentless in the pursuit of options in cases where many would see no hope. He combines that commitment to excellence with a friendly personality and genuine compassion. This place is simply the best.

Pros: Convienient parking, friendly staff, clean, efficiant, and top-notch care.
Cons: The office can be a little hard to find, but it's on the same block with the new Publix.

I wouldn't take our family's pets anywhere else for care. We recently adopted a kitten that ended up needing quite a bit of care, and Dr. Tenzer and his staff treated us like family. I've been to other animal hospitals that feel like factory, but SoBe Animal Hospital is different. I actually drive a pretty long distance to see them, but it's definitely worth it!

Pros: caring staff, personal care
Cons: A little far for me, but worth it!
