Haute Headz

I've been going to Haute Headz for a few years now & I have never had a problem. I get so many compliments on my hair; I actually WANT to do my hair everyday! The prices aren't bad because the colors include a haircut & style (I go to a senior stylist). Most places I've been to make you pay seperately & it ends up costing about the same, if not more! I had to leave a review after reading all these negative ones because i did not agree with them! It always seems like everyone is having so much fun when I go in there. I leave in such a good mood, feeling so good about myself!

Not impressed. The comment below sounds like it was from someone that works there. I had a master stylist and thought I paid way to much. I've gotten the same satisfaction from other salons and paid less. Will not go back.

I'm not happy at all with my hair. I went once before to Haute headz and I didn't care for my hair then, but I thought I'd give the SENIOR stylist a second chance and she once again let me down.

I'm from South Florida and hadn't found a salon that did as great of a job as down south, until I found Haute Headz! People might complain about prices but if you go anywhere in a bigger town your going to pay the same price or even more (for the same quality). Haute Headz even has a level system, which reflects skills and classes, to help you decide.All the stylists in each level that I've been to have done an amazing job. The staff was all very accommodating.

I love Haute Headz...however, the prices of manicure and pedicure is out of line. Nothing extra was done to warrant the price. I will continue to go for hair services however, I will not return for nails. I can go elsewhere and get the exact same service for half the price. PS this is not a complaint about the nail tech, she was good.

Not sure if it was a result of the stylist being "unfocused" but I had a very unsatisfactory highlight from one of the "master" colorists. He left me under the dryer with color on my hair for ages while he tended to another client and though my hair looked *okay* when I left (still it was a little too bleachy looking) it started breaking off in the shower and I had horribly dry crucnhy hair for weeks until my next hair cut. in fact, it's still not completely back to normal. And I had MAJORLY noticable roots within a couple of weeks, which is normally not the case for me. The salon is very cute and the people seem nice but I am not impressed!

I should've read the reviews on "unfocused stylists" as this is what I found my stylist to be. I like kind of a "funkier" cut and ended up with a mom cut instead. The stylist seemed to be checking everyone and everything else around me but not paying attention to me. I found her aiming the blowdryer at my head but not even hitting it as she was looking around at everyone else.
I moved here from Chicago and perhaps I've been spolied by the hair salons there. However, my first haircut here was at Envy and I was much happier with my cut. On the downside, they are only open until six during the week and not on Sundays so it was extremely hard to fit into my schedule.
Perhaps I would go back and request one of the master stylists, however I would not return to the same stylist I had. At $50 a pop, I would expect a much better haircut.

I have been going to Haute Headz for at least 4 years getting a pedicure once a month. 3 months ago, their prices SKYROCKETED! I had paid $25 for a full pedicure the entire I was going there. Then right after Christmas my bill went up to $45 for the EXACT services. I was told they raise their prices by $5 then added a chemical fee. What peaved me the most was the fact Elana didn't tell me that the prices had gone up so much. You would think after being a customer for so long, I would have been told the prices would go up.

I was very surprised to see Sara's review of her cut by B. I have been going to B for about 3 years and am always very happy with my hair. when I first went to her, she fixed a seemingly unfix-able bad dye job. And she can cut my curly hair! She's professional and knows her stuff, and she can also blow my hair out better than anyone ever has. I get tons of compliments everywhere I go on my hair--cut, color, style, etc. She makes great suggestions as well--I trust her judgment more than my own! Although it may be a little pricey (I pay $120 for cut & partial foil, $145 for cut & full foil, and I alternate), it's worth it for the results!

This was my first visit the Haute Headz. The girl who did my hair seemed to not be focused. I told her I was trying to grow my hair out and I wanted lowlights. Somehow I ended up with huge bleached out pieces/chunks, and my hair was so over processed the next day when I was blowdrying it, it started falling out and breaking off like crazy!! I ended up having to go to another salon, pay more money, and get all the dry, damaged hair cut off. So not only did I pay too much, I did not get my lowlights, and I got short hair when I was trying to grow it out.

This place is hip and fun! They are VERY well trained and I always get compliments on my hair. It can be kind of pricey to have your hair colored here, but well worth it. I've brought my daughter to get updos for special occasions here, and although they are usually very busy on those days, you know it's a good sign.

Randi was my hair stylist!! She was sweet and she is cute and she did an absolutely wonderful job on my hair!! I got a hair cut and my eye brows waxed and they were both superb!! I will be back for sure and on a regular basis!!

simcom was the stylist that cut my hair. He was very personable and professional. He did an excellent job and I would gladly return for another hair cut in the future. The only disadvantage is that it is a little pricey. But as with all things you get what you pay for

CONS: little pricey
