My children love to go to the Orlando Science Center. There are lots of "hands on" learning activities for children there. There's a nice small gift shop and the staff is friendly. Watching a movie in the cinedome is a fun experience, too. This is a great place to take the kids over summer vacation or on a rainy weekend.

PROS: Lots to do
CONS: None

OSC is a long-standing community resource often overlooked due to it's admission price and it's poor attitude towards homeschoolers as educators. Having boycotted OSC for the last two years I recently broke down and revisted as part of a group. If you live in the area your wallet will definately benefit from an annual pass, especially since you receive unlimited Imax admissions with an annual pass. Another way to get around the high cost of admission is to organize a group trip, prices are less than half that way. OSC provides fun for children ages 1 and up. The first floor is especially for the youngest visitors but will prove enjoyable to siblings as well. Older children will enjoy the higher floors, my children especially enjoyed the traveling exhibits. Personally I wouldn't buy an annual pass unless you have smaller children who would play for hours ont he first floor, but it is nice to visit every once in a while to see the traveling exhibits.

PROS: Fun for the smallest kids.
CONS: They don't like homeschoolers!

This place is great for kids. There are a lot of hands on things for them to do. They have a lot to offer in learning areas and the price is great. They also have a planeterium and show movies to enrich the learning experience. my kids and I really enjoyed this place! We always tell our out of town guests and they enjoy it also. I reccomend this place for anyone with children ages 3 - 100.

The science center is packed full of fun and educational items for the kids to do. The adults will even enjoy it! This is a great place for families to come spend some time together. An affordable alternative to the theme parks. Explore the human body, technology, and even soar through the solar system. If you live in the area the package is well worth the money, you can enjoy the center yearround with free parking and free access to the movies plus free admission. Home of the eight story cinedome which is the world's largest movie theater around.
