My boyfriend and I had to take our 112 lb Mastiff in for an emergency last Sunday. He was at the dog park and injured his leg, to the point he wasnt walking at all. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Dr Berlin came into see us and we never felt like she was in a hurry. Dr Berlin took great care and time making sure we understood her diagnosis. We wernt expecting this kind of finacial emergency, however it was made very clear that our dogs wellbeing was of upmost importance, and easily came to a very resonable financial payment plan. I am happy to say he is doing well and we are forever in Dr Berlin and VCA Noahs Place debt for taking such wonderful care of our gentle giant. :)

My girlfriend and I had gone to Noah's Place 3 years ago when they were still working on expanding the place. At that time they were expensive, but we went for the 2/1 vaccines which were great. After they ripped us off over a surgery that we found out our dog really didn't need from the specialist we ended up going to after. We vowed to never go back there. A couple weeks ago my girlfriends dog got sick over the weekend. Our normal vet was closed and that left us to choose between the 2 - 24hr emergency vets. So we decided to take a chance with Noahs since we had heard that it was bought over by VCA we figured that it being a corporation that they probably made vast improvements. Boy were we WRONG! The moment we got there we had to wait literally 30 minutes till we got in a room after our appointment time. Then we sat in that room for another 20 minutes before the doctor came in. Who did a quick examination, asked questions and then the doctor and tech left the room. To where the tech came back in and presented us with a bill estimate of $1,200.00! Yet the doctor literally spent 5 minutes looking over the dog to come up with a $1,200.00 bill. We declined it and asked what we can give the dog to get them through the next day so we can take him to his REGULAR Vet. Of course then they made us feel so low and bad for not treating our dog like we are bad pet owners. They gave us some meds to take home and what to watch for. The only good thing I can say about the place was the receptionist as I remember them for they were the only ones trying to make our stay nice. Kandice was always trying to update us on our wait and offered us coffee or water. Scott was very friendly with our pet and tried to make our wait easy by changing the Tv for something for us to enjoy. Other than that, VCA Noah's is the same as it was if not WORSE! They just want MONEY, not animal care! So you know, we took our dog to our regular vet where it cost us $218.00 total for everything and he is doing wonderful and back to his old self! Thank you Dr Partridge!

Overall, I would have to say I am satisfied with Noah's. I have been using their services for several years now and we have 2 large breed dogs. We have had to use Noah's services more then I would like with 1 dog having hip problems and another suffering a major laceration injury. Noah's does somethings extremely well and then they fall short in other areas.

Pains:
1)extended wait times even when you have appointments during non peak hours. Maybe their expansion will eliminate this??
2)Pricing for prescriptions, flea preventives, and other items is often 15 to 20% higher then from sources such as petmeds & even petsmart. They will price match but it is much easier to get the items shipped to you for free then battling waiting at their counter.
3)Dr Hodges - I had the displeasure of seeing him on 2 occassions and I refuse to use him again. Suffice to say he could use an attitude adjustment in my opinion. The animals and their owners are his customers and need to be treated accordingly.
4) Kennel & Boarding - Great staff at the kennel, but completely inadequate when it comes to the needs of medium and large breed dogs.

Pros:
1) Dr Bryant, Dr Carroll, & Dr Dixon are true professionals. They exhibit genuine care for your pets, plus they seem to always take the time to answer any questions you have.
2) Convience - Yes, at times their waits are long and annoying but since they are open 24hrs, you can ensure your pets get in when it is convienent to you.
3) Trauma services - With our 1 puppy suffering a major laceration, we had to experience this first hand. Noah's gets an A+ for their help in our puppy making a full recovery.

Our family dog accidentally got loose and was hit by a car in front of our home. It did not look that bad, but our dog was limping badly on one of it's legs. Unfortunately, we never had taken our pet to a vet before so we started to panic. Since Noah's was the ONLY 24-hour vet in town (and conveniently located to us), we rushed our pet over to them. From the moment we arrived, our minds were set at ease. Everyone was so friendly and helped us to remain calm during our visit. The doctors were helpful and very thorough. I was amazed when they were able to show us digital x-ray pictures within minutes and we were relieved to see that our pet had no broken bones!! Although we did have a bit of a wait before our pet was released to go home with us, we were thankful that we were able to be seen so quickly! Our bill was not as high as I expected, either, considering they were still open at that time of the night.

We have set another appointment for a follow-up visit. The informational client handouts and service we received has made us decide that we will utilize them for all of our future vet needs. Thank you, Noah's!

PROS: THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY!!!
CONS: None so far!

Noah's frequently prints coupons for 2 for 1 annual exams and vaccinations. 2 dogs or cats for $129. This includes an amazing array of tests and procedures. Heartworm testing, complete blood screen, and other tests. Also includes the exam and all the necessary vaccines. It is a great value, especially since most pet people own more than one pet. They are open 24 hours and operate one of the very few emergency pet hospitals in this county. I trust them with my pets and I am pleased with their service.

PROS: Great Prices with coupons
CONS: The extras can get a bit pricey

This place is immaculate, and the staff is superb! The vets know how to make friends with the animals before examining them (something that is majorly lacking at many animal care facilites). They charge reasonable rates, too - - what a perk! All of the staff is friendly, personable, and knowledeable. If you live in the vicinity and have the need for a vet, you can't find a place better than Noah's.

PROS: Top notch vets and staff. Clean facilities.
