I've been to this restaurant before and the food was awful and the service was terrible so my wife and I decided never to go back. Then I read a help wanted add in the Star paper about the new Chefs from the old Beachcomber's . I'd eaten there before, they did things right so we decided to chance it again. I'm glad we did. The service was excelent, the food was wonderful and the prices have come way down. This was probably the best meal for the price in the county and we were there during happy hour so the drinks were 2 for 1. I would strongly recommend this place now, where as before I would not have given the food to my dog. I read a previous review and had to laugh, Irish food? Garcie O'Malley was a famous Pirate and the decor should have given them the idea there was something more to the name than Irish...hahaha.

We were visiting Port St. Joe for a while. We already went to Loggerhead Grill (see review) and had a great time, great food and great service from polite people. You should go there!

The next day we tried Gracies. What a mistake. It rained that day. Their parking lot wasn't finished yet so the whole thing is a mud bath. Walked up to the door and you can see that some others had to do the same as us, knocking the mud off your shoes. It wasn't the worse thing in the world...just the start to many other bad things to come.

We sat down at a table noticing there are all numbered, I guess the servers can't remember the table order by themselves. I check to see if their shoe strings were tied. We started with a salad, had to return it....brown and gooey. The waiter said sorry the salad has been here two weeks and he had to get rid of it somehow. Why it even came out of the kitchen who knows. Then went and got a drink from the bar, myself because I already waited twenty minutes from my server to bring it over. Why so long for a drink - when the place is empty?? I thought it might be just a slow day or, maybe it is because everyone gets this treatment.

I tried to order some Irish food, Sheppard's pie would have been great fro a gloomy day like this. No they don't have Irish food, "it is just the name of the restaurant", says the waiter. So the dinners come out, what a mistake ordering a steak here. Overly fatty and raw, when ordered med-rare. The gristle is so thick and hard, I could even cut through the steak with a steak knife, so back to the kitchen again. Now we are really hungry, waiting so long I thought we should have just gone someplace else. Should have known better,,,Irish place without a single Irish dish on the menu....Aug-g-g-g!
