Banfield The Pet Hospital

I signed a contract with these people in Sept. 2004. The Wellness plan which is for a year. It is Apr. 2006 and I am still paying for it. $20 a month and I took my cat there once. They refuse to stop charging me even though the contract is up. They dont care about anything, but taking your cash.

PROS: They saw my cat when she was very sick at short notice
CONS: They are taking money every money without providing service

Banfield's first priority is making money-and not your pet's health. They will come up with "highly recommended" tests, which are unnessary and expensive. It is difficult to determine which tests are necessary and which ones they recommended purely to make a profit from. As a result, you are left wondering if you are giving your pet's health is being sacrficed because you don't trust them. Their "Wellness Plan" is also a complete rip off. To make a long story short, I am still paying for the plan (because you sign a contract) but I take my pet to a loving vet whom I can trust. The tests that Banfield recommended were found to be ridiculous and unnecssary by my current vet. I am trying to warn everyone I can about this company. Because people care about their pets and will do just about anything to make sure that they are healthy, big companies such as Banfield takes advantage of that. The vet was more like a saleperson than a vet. Stay away, stay away, stay away!

If you every take your animal here, you need to watch how they treat your animal! They are extremly rough with them and will walk away from the tables while your dog is being groomed. Its horrible! Then actually sedate your animal if they practically move. I will never ever being another animal there I would rather risk driving a thousand miles then give them to those so called caring vets/groomers.

This is one of the worst vet offices I have ever been too. Sure they have a great payment plan for kitties but what they don't tell you is that during every visit they want you to buy something thats urgently needed for your pets. When in fact, I've been told by other vets once I changed places that the procedure/medicines were not needed at all. They just wanted my money!
