I take my dog there because of the Wellness Plan and it's close to my house. The Wellness Plan is a great idea! It's about $400 a year, and covers spaying which would have cost about $400 and all the shots. Dr. Mosely does come off as slightly cold and uncaring, but the male doctor is really nice and offers good advice. Dr. Mosely tried to get me to take my dog to a specialist (which I'm sure she had a personal relationship with) when my dog had an infection and couldn't tell me what caused it or what it was, she really had no idea what was wrong with my dog. She isn't very good....The nurses are great though! They are always really nice to my dog and seem to love animals. I've never had an issue with Banfield, except the fact that Dr. Mosely can't diagnose anything that isn't simple and common.

I had a 530pm scheduled ""Comprehensive Exam"" with Banfield and I received a phonecall asking to be moved back to 5pm. I agreed and brought my 2 puppies there. Deborah Mosley, the ""vet"" came in and said ""are we ready for the quick check up?"" and she was very obvious that she was in a rush. She said everything was fine with my dogs within 2 minutes, brought them to the back to have their shots done. \r\n\r\nThat was the last time I saw her. \r\n\r\nWithin 1 minute of returning my puppy, he started vomiting everywhere. Havoc continued to vomit but this time, he started laying down. The nurse, quickly took Havoc to the back and I could see her trying to call the Vet. She came back out and said that they would need to do some emergency procedures on him. She came back out and said that Deborah Mosley would not come back for the day. After 2 hours of fast acting from the Nurses, probably doing procedures that they werent certified to do, Havoc started to recover. \r\n \r\nI want to take this moment to give praise for the quick acting Nurses. WIthout them, the pathetic, lazy, and selfish Vet would've killed my puppy. I almost lost my puppy today, whom to me, is everything. All because she couldnt keep her schedule and do her job. \r\n\r\nThey footed me with a 156 dollar bill on the emergency procedures that they had to do with Havoc. The emergency procedures that THEY induced.\r\n\r\n

**"VETERINARIAN" DEBORAH MOSLEY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. **

**DO NOT GO TO BANFIELD IN WATERFORD**

PLEASE READ THIS.
I had a 530pm scheduled "Comprehensive Exam" with Banfield and I recieved a phonecall asking to be moved back to 5pm. I agreed and brought my 2 puppies there. Deborah Mosley, the "vet" came in and said "are we ready for the quick check up?" and she was very obvious that she was in a rush. She said everything was fine with my dogs within 2 minutes, brought them to the back to have their shots done. That was the last time I saw her.

Within 1 minute of returning my puppy, he started vomitting everywhere. The Nurse said that it was because my puppy was nervous. Havoc, my puppy kept vomitting. She asked us to leave the room and let him calm down outside so he didnt feel so couped up and when we were infront of the counter, Havoc continued to vomitt but this time, he started laying down. The nurse, quickly took Havoc to the back and I could see her trying to call the Vet. She came back out and said that Havoc's gums went white and that they would need to do some emergency procedures on him. The whole time, I could see her trying to call the Vet. She came back out and said that Deborah Mosley would not come back for the day. After 2 hours of fast acting from the Nurses, probably doing procedures that they werent certified to do, Havoc started to recover. He threw up a few more times but the Office Manager of the Hospital said he was okay to go home.

Havoc is home now, but first thing in the morning, he is going to Baldwin Animal Hospital where my girlfriend takes her puppy to get everything checked out and make sure he's okay.

I want to take this moment to give praise for the quick acting Nurses. WIthout them, the pathetic, lazy, and selfish Vet would've killed my puppy. I will never return to this store and/or "veterinarian." I almost lost my puppy today, whom to me, is everything. All because she couldnt keep her schedule and do her job.

PS. They footed me with a 156 dollar bill on the emergency procedures that they had to do with Havoc. The emergency procedures that THEY induced.

Banfield is an HMO for your pet. What they do is comprehensive enough to spot chronic problems. My cat was diagnosed with kidney failure because of their thorough testing and I was able to help keep it monitored until the last few months. That being said, I would not let Banfield be your vet if you animal is going to pass away from illness, they do not have the compassion that a local vet does. They are great for the physicals as most vets do no testing at all during physicals other than listening to their breathing, and the teeth cleaning alone is worth the price of the plan. Each office will undoubtedly have their pros and cons. The Jacksonville Banfield office and staff was fantastic, the Orlando off Colonial was not as I have switched over to Alafaya. So far I haven't had any problems with this location.

I signed a contract with these people in Sept. 2004. The Wellness plan which is for a year. It is Apr. 2006 and I am still paying for it. $20 a month and I took my cat there once. They refuse to stop charging me even though the contract is up. They dont care about anything, but taking your cash.

PROS: They saw my cat when she was very sick at short notice
CONS: They are taking money every money without providing service

Banfield's first priority is making money-and not your pet's health. They will come up with "highly recommended" tests, which are unnessary and expensive. It is difficult to determine which tests are necessary and which ones they recommended purely to make a profit from. As a result, you are left wondering if you are giving your pet's health is being sacrficed because you don't trust them. Their "Wellness Plan" is also a complete rip off. To make a long story short, I am still paying for the plan (because you sign a contract) but I take my pet to a loving vet whom I can trust. The tests that Banfield recommended were found to be ridiculous and unnecssary by my current vet. I am trying to warn everyone I can about this company. Because people care about their pets and will do just about anything to make sure that they are healthy, big companies such as Banfield takes advantage of that. The vet was more like a saleperson than a vet. Stay away, stay away, stay away!

PROS: Distance
CONS: Wellness Plan is a rip off, Staff is uncaring and rough w/dogs, Can't Trust

If you every take your animal here, you need to watch how they treat your animal! They are extremly rough with them and will walk away from the tables while your dog is being groomed. Its horrible! Then actually sedate your animal if they practically move. I will never ever being another animal there I would rather risk driving a thousand miles then give them to those so called caring vets/groomers.

PROS: Not a thing
CONS: Uncaring

This is one of the worst vet offices I have ever been too. Sure they have a great payment plan for kitties but what they don't tell you is that during every visit they want you to buy something thats urgently needed for your pets. When in fact, I've been told by other vets once I changed places that the procedure/medicines were not needed at all. They just wanted my money!

PROS: Great Payment Plan for kitties/puppies
CONS: Greedy Corportate Company
