Been coming here for a while as a South Beach native. This place is always packed for lunch, with the line out the door. The staff here is pretty nice and always remembers a familiar face. This little Mexican place serves up some mean burritos and tacos. My favorite dish here is the fajita quesadillas and the queso dip. The price point is pretty decent. Everything is around $4-$10 bucks. Even though the place is tiny, you can always manage to find a spot to sit in their outdoor beer garden type space. In the summer it gets really hot, but isn't that what South Beach is all about?

I hear the owners are about to unveil something pretty huge this summer. They said it was something about being the only restaurant that is certified humane. Not too sure what this meant, but I look forward to coming back and enjoying some fresh and tasty food.

Pros: Queso dip and fajita quesadilla

Cons: Hot and always a long line

Had to write a review after reading fsuguy27. Don't know which Lime he went to, but I've been going to South Beach and Midtown for years, never had a problem. You can't compare Lime's food to the low quality crap you get at fast food places. Everything there is fresh. My gf is obsessed with the salads and I love the queso burrito and steak tacos. With the size of the portions you don't need to fill up on other sides. I'm always full, especially with the chips and salsas. Definitely try the salsa verde. If you are going to order anything else, get the queso dip. Best in Miami!

I've been going to South Beach for so long that the staff usually remembers who I am and what I like to order. You don't get that anymore. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants their money's worth.

If you like Baja Fresh and Chilorios you might think this is the same type of place. It is NOT. It is horrible.

The food items are priced $8-$9 like in Baja Fresh or Chilorios but they do not bring any sides. You get no pintos, no rice and beans, no salad.

The food quality is awful. My girlfriend had the lime burritos and they were full of flavorless beans and VERY light on the ground beef.

I had a steak quesadilla that almost ran me $10 and it was worse than the ones at Taco Bell. The quality of the meat was B-A-D. You basically pay $8-$10 to have a giant flavorless burrito put in front of you with nothing whatosever to accompany it.

The little "salad bar" type place where you can pick toppings cannot compare to either Baja Fresh or Chilorios.

The service here is awful, the managers are rude as hell. They did not want to honor a coupon for free salsa and chips that my girlfriend found in her purse. I mean, that was the only reason we even tried the place to begin with and the coupon was expired by a couple days. We got the third degree about when it arrived in the mail and asking if were trying to get something for free.

Give me a break! The food took a long time to be brought out. It is served in these tiny hot cast iron skillets which are difficult to eat from. There are no food trays.

The price is higher than Baja Fresh or Chilorios and this does not bring any sides or Jarritos bottled drinks.

I would not go back there again!

Pros: clean bathroom

Cons: bad quality food, bad service, no side dishes with entrees

...not that there's anything wrong with texmex...

This is basically a fast food joint with a cute garden, and edible, unremarkable food.

I've been a fan of this place for years and have been meaning to add my two cents to these reviews. If you like Mexican made with fresh, healthy ingredients, you should definitely try Lime. I'm so tired of Mexican food made with greasy, heavy sauces that just coverup the taste of the actual food. Everything at Lime, from the grilled chicken (that is actually grilled to order) to the homemade salsas is delicious. I've never been disappointed by the food there. And contrary to other reports, the people are great! I've met the owner and manager a few times and they couldn't be nicer guys.

Personal recommendations are the South Beach Burrito for a healthier take and the Flautas for more of a guilty pleasure. My girlfriend is also partial to the frozen sangria.

Pros: Fresh tasting food, reasonable prices and cold beer

Cons: Long lines, but they do move fast

This is not a large place. At lunch and dinner time, it is usually very crowded You may dine inside or out. I ordered a bean burrito. It isn't the style of Mexican food that I like. They use lots of peppers, onions, and lime in their cooking.

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is the best fresh-Mexican cuisine around. Their new menu is sure to satisfy any guest's craving and the guest service in this fast-casual atmosphere is reminiscent of a casual-style restaurant. The quesadillas are a personal favortie, although the tacos, burritos, salads and chips and salsa always make for great alternatives. I can't seem to get enough of Lime, and neither can others. There is always a line out the door!

My favorite is the taco salad! I think LIME is a good addition to any of their entrees. They have a good selection of sauces especially hot sauces. This is a casual place to grab a quick and good bite when you are on the beach. Although it has gotten quite famous and sometimes you can get a line in which case it is not a quick stop.

My friend and I were hungry and walking back to our hotel.(About 6 blocks away) There were a lot of people coming in and out, so we decided to eat there. The food was great. The shrimp tacos were really good.

I went to the Pembroke Pines location, and the food was terrible and the music was to loud, we asked 3 time to turn down a little bit the volume and they answer that they can do anything about it.
I will never come back again.

Lime is a great place to go for fresh tex mex on the go. There are only a few set backs. Parking is difficult, they don't deliver, and there are lines out the door, especially at lunch/dinner times.

The salsa/condiment bar is iced and freshly replenished. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but for south beach it is. Service is fast and friendly.

Please note it's not air conditioned. It's a very small, simple, place. I have had most things on the menu. It's always been delicious.

Try it at least once. There is also a Lime in North Miami.

Lime is the best restaurant on the beach. Everything is always fresh and served quickly. Its worth waiting in line. The salsa bar rocks and the outdoor area is very romantic. Great place for lunch or dinner. Also easy to find parking nearby (unlike Lincoln Road). Worth the drive from Fort Lauderdale.

I love this place! I don't even care for Mexican food usually... I drive by hundreds of Mexican restaurants to get to this one. My ONLY complaint is that there isn't one closer to where I live. If more Mexican restaurants prepared their food with fresh ingredients, like Lime, then I would probably have a different opinion. I'm glad Sammy doesn't like it because I would hate to have to sit beside this queen at dinner. When you go to any restaurant, they provide a menu so you will know what to expect when you order. It clearly spells out what comes with each entree...since your spelling in your review was so bad, you probably can't read well either.

Lime has a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere where you can hang out and enjoy great food with your friends for very little money. My personal favorite is the chicken fajita quesadillas. Also, the chips with con queso dip is excellent. Lime is worth the trip every time!

Ordered a quesadilla and didn't realize it came with beans and was completely unedible. When manager was brought over, he told me the order was placed as it was ordered and when I told him I couldn't eat the food, he looked at me and asked me who would end up paying for the one I already had! Denied me food that I could eat, made me spend my money on food I could not eat, and then added insult to injury by bringing me a menu to tell me to next time read the menu better. Although finding decent sercive on the beach is rare, this is simply injustice. I only recommend it if you eat just about anything and don't usually have special requests with your food, cause if you do, this is the worst place you could possibly go to. The customer is never right, and only go if you want a scolding with your unedible meal.

Plain & simple, ITS CHEAP FOOD! But not Great Food. Another reason because there are really no Mexican spots on the beach. Sorry, in Coral Gables (37th ave & 28th st.) where you got the real mexicans in the carts making you carnita asada tacos and all that other good authentic stuff like REAL hot salsas, you just can't compare.
I dont know why this place is hyped up so much. All in all the food is OK, i guess I was expecting it to be great and was dissapointed when I got my burrito. Honestly it didnt taste like anything! Completely bland! However, the salsas and guacamole are very good, and very fresh.

Love this place! Affordable for South Beach, fresh, and a salsa bar that where the choices do not look canned. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't deliver. The fish tacos are amazing and the steak for the tacos etc is good quality. There is usually a line out the door.

...that is not saying much, since mexican food in So. Fla is almost nonexistent. Being from Los Angeles, I am very picky about mexican food. El Tepiyac it is not and it is a slight notch below what you would get in L.A., but for South Florida, I can not complain. The burritos are good (carne asada), though they do not know how to make a "wet" burrito. The salsa bar is great, especially the chili verde. Ask for chips while you are waiting for your food and get creative with the salsa.

We got take out from here - What a mistake! Out of the 3 tacos ordered two had the wrong filling, but this was not the bad part- the worst was that they pourred so many watery chopped tomatoes all over they were just a soggy mess. The tortillas, where completely drenched and disintegrated. The quesadilla we ordered was almost cheeseless. The tacos came without guacamole or sour cream. In all the food was a mess, trhowing money out the window.

I was not impressed. That said the food is good if you do not expect too much. I went here after hearing people gush about it for weeks. It is not a restaurant, more like a nicer fast food joint; and the "fully stocked bar" that the editorial reviewer mentions does not exist. I do not want to describe what was given to me and called a margarita. The steak in my quesadilla was cold and hard but the guacamole was very good. The counter staff was extremely rude but she could have been having a bad day. If you are hungry and want a quick, affordable meal, then this is the place to go.

There is a reason there is always a line around the corner to LIme! It is good food! With about 30 topping sauces to choose from, everything is freshly made and you can taste that as soon as you bit into your burrito! It is not greasy like other Mexican Tex/Mex places on the beach.

I've been waiting for a great Mexican food restaurant to open in South Beach for over 5 years, and Lime delivers. The tacos and burritos are unique and taste fantastic. Since this place opened I have not had Mexican food from any other restaurant, nor would I want to. I'm here at least once a week (and no I don't work or know anyone from this restaurant).

Freshly- and quickly-made Cal-Tex-Mex fare is healthy padding for a night of unhealthy partying. The South Beach location doesn't have much in the way of chairs and tables, so it's best to pick up these tacos and quesadillas to go. Make…
