I have worked for R&S for 16 years. We have been in business since 1970. The customer that had the horrible experience did not lie.We did have a problem with that car but the tech that worked on it is no longer here and we have addressed what happened so it will not happen again.

After I was in a front-end collision, my auto insurance told me to bring my car to them. Worst mistake ever! They started out doing a poor job with the estimate, they missed several items and the final price for my insurance jumped about $2500 in the last week they had the car. They took a full month to make the repairs, and then when I got it back, within 24 hours the transmission (which had been fine before the accident) started acting up. I brought it back to them and it took them 3 whole days to tell me that it was a coincidence, not related to the accident, and they could replace it for me at my cost for $1650. I brought it to AAMCO and they discovered that R&S had actually left a clamp on the transmission line when they were working on the rest of the engine, forgot to take it off when they were done the car, and this caused transmission fluid to not go to be cooled by the radiator, basically burning my transmission out. The clamp was still on there, even though they had had the car for 3 days they didn't realize it! So then we had to work with their liability insurance, which was another nightmare - first they insisted we put in a used transmission instead of letting AAMCO rebuild it. That one turned out to be a piece of junk and with 72 hours I had to bring it back to AAMCO. Finally the liability company then agreed to let AAMCO rebuild it - knock on wood, it's been two weeks now and the transmission is running great. But within a week of finally getting my car back (2 1/2 months after the accident) the seatbelt fell off (had been replaced by R &S - apparently they can't even install those correctly) and we discovered a leak in the power steering fluid (that whole apparatus had also been replaced and worked on by R &S). I called them because their work was guaranteed, but since my insurance will no longer work with them due to my awful experience, they won't work on the car and said I'd have to talk to my insurance about someone else. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!! There was not one positive aspect to my entire experience with them.
