Maryann the owner is the worst hair dresser ever. She ruined my hair and took NO ownership. She destroyed my extensions, color and highlights and not once apologized for the trauma, nor has paid for the negligence of her mistake.

Maryann Ellis....take responsibility as the owner of your shop for the mistakes of your employees and yourself and take care of customers when they come to your shop and expect to leave with services that you stated could be performed. I came to you for a consultation prior to allowing you to perform services and you stated your salon could handle it. Your treatment of me while I was there for my appointment was disgusting. Your employee destroyed my hair extensions and the color that you performed missed over 40% of the base and highlights are completely uneven. How you call yourself professional is beyond words. I will be sending you the bill for $400.00 for the repair of my extensions and $100 for the color repair. Should you not decide to reimburse me for the damages I will pursue the matter.

I went to the Owner Maryann for a consultation on my extensions and to have my hair highlighted and base colored. She told me how she was very confident that there would be no issues coloring my hair and moving my extensions. I made the appointment based on this consultation. I came to the salon at 2:30 sat down in her chair and she started to highlight and base color my hair. She then went to work on another client, not a big deal, however, did not pay attention to my color for the next 40 mins. Comes back tells me 5 more mins and then yells from the other room to go get washed. This is my first time here and I am astonished. I get up to get washed. I get washed by Maria, who was very nice. Maryann comes over to see the color and another client comes in and Maryann tells Maria to put something on my hair and put me under the dryer. She then tells this new client not to worry about me as I will be under the dryer for awhile...I am thinking, why on earth do I need to be under a dryer for a while. My color is done and I need to be somewhere by 5 (which Maryann knows). Maria tells me she doesn't like to use the product Maryann told her to put on my extensions, but all is ok and puts a towel on my head and dries it for a second and puts me under a dryer. NEVER put a brush through it, Maryann never comes back and I am sitting under this dryer while Maryann takes care of another client. I am sitting there for 10 minutes and start to feel my hair and it is falling out..now I don't know if it is my hair or my extensions. As I begin to get worried, I lift my head out of the dryer and feel my hair and I have the biggest knots on both sides of my head an my hair is falling out like crazy. I get up and tell Maria, what did you do to my hair and she says let me get you a brush and come to the sink. She starts to put some other product in my hair to fix the mess that has been caused and I realize that they have made a mistake and now I am freaking out. I tell her to stop. I get up and look in the mirror I look like something out of a horror show. I walk over to Maryann who is still working on another client to show her that she has ruined my extensions and she could care less. Tells me to go back to sink "she will fix it, she is almost done.". This client came in after my appointment and I can wait....my hair is falling out and fused together in knots. I sit there for the next hour while 3 people try to fix this mess that has been caused from a product that should have never been put on my extensions that ruined them. Not once did Maryann take responsibility as the owner of this shop for the horror I experienced. At 4:50 pm I had to leave for a class that I was registered for and she could careless, Maria told her that she should put new extensions in my hair and all Maryann could say is that its not her fault because they weren't her extensions. Why did I come to her for a consultation and be told she could handle something she could not and when she destroyed the $1,000.00 I had spent on extensions not offer any compensation for the incompetence and horror I experienced. If that wasn't enough, the color wasn't done correctly and I am expected to pay, which I told the counter girl that there was no way. Now, Maryann has my phone number and has never apologized for this horror, no attempted to rectify this or her reputation as a stylist. Therefore, I am going to make it my mission to make sure no one else has to experience the horror of this salon. I will be contacting several other companies and will formally file a complaint ot be reimbursed the replacement for the extensions that were damaged by her incompentence and the color that had to be redone by a real professional.

No one should have to put up with this type of service and then pay for it again. This salon is responsible for the trauma they put me through and now the additional expense of replacing the extensions they destroyed and the color that was not correct.

I've been a customer of Raspberries for several years and have gotten my hair done by many of the stylists. Everyone who works there is very friendly and always helpful.

There is so much to do in this salon. There is a nail room, an aesthetician, and a jewlery shop. All very reasonably priced and they do a good job from what I can tell.

Booking appointments with the receptionists is super easy. They greet you as soon as you walk through the door. There is always fresh coffee and homemade goodies. The stylists are always very accomodating and they always take walk-ins.

The employees are all dressed professional, and you can tell that they really do care about your hair. They all listen very well and try their best to give you the results that you're looking for.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this hair salon and I would recomend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasureable experience.

the owner in this place has got to be the worst i have ever experienced. first of all she doesn't look or act professional, she was over 30 minutes late for our appointment and when i asked if this was normal i was told "not always" which means YES!

I could tell the receptionist has to deal with this all the time. when she FINALLY showed up, after being told it would only be five more minutes three times, she looked like a mess. her hair was all nasty and unkempt and she was wearing a very revealing outfit. her personality is awful, she could be right off the "Jersey Shore", she had no class at all.

I was reccomended by a girlfriend who had gone to her for years for some reason. i had a Serious talk with my friend after this appointment.

the shampoo bowls are falling apart, there are broken ceiling tiles and water damaged tiles throughout the entire salon and the floor is filthy. the place looks like it need to be gutted and rebuilt. i have never seen anything like it! i don't know how the health inspector hasn't shut the place down.

When i went to the bathroom i was afraid to sit on the seat, there were marks all over it and the sink looked like it was about to fall off the wall. the owner obviously doesn't have any pride in her self or her business.

i will never recommend this place! if you have an appointment with the owner cancel it! the rest of the employees looked presentable and were busy at work.

the hair washer did a great job, but i feel bad that he has to work with 3 broken sinks that are obviously falling apart.

while in the back i took a look inside a skin care room and i was suprised to see it was clean. there was an older woman sitting in there and she seemed presentable as well, however, she probably works independently since the rest of the salon is in shambles.

there is a quaint jewelry store in the back as well that looks amazing with fabulous treasures.

when i went back to the owner she talked about this and that hair, however i couldn't even listen since i was in such a state of disgust. at this point i was only curious to see how the rest of my appointment would go, otherwise i would have marched right out the door.

while i was paying i was put further into a state of disgust as the owner started arguing with another customer who was not pleased with the dye job she had just received. the customer said she wanted one color but her hair was clearly another. the owner just got defesive and started fighting with her and insisting the color was fine!

i couldn't believe my eyes or ears! i thought that the owner of a salon would be more interested in the customer being happy, but she had no interest in what the customer wanted. when the customer left the owner started talking about the customer and how rediculous she was and how she just didnt want to pay for the job and that the color looked great (which it did not! it looked awful).

i will never go there again. if i ever hear anyone talking about going there i will do everything in my power to stop them, especially if they are going to the owner.

Let me start by saying, if I could give it negative stars I would. I went to this salon and was in complete disbelief at how terrible it was. The guy who did my hair used some old brush that looked like his dog had been chewing on it for the past 8 months...it had missing bristles and a nasty handle. He used zero products to protect my hair from the too high heat of his cheap, ancient blow dryer and had no idea what he was doing. I honestly think I have done a better job by myself, oh wait...and to do it myself is free and doesn't smell of cheap styling products. I was ignored and felt as if the hair "dresser" (i put that in quotes because as far as I'm concerned he has no business having a title like that) couldn't care less about me or how my hair looked. I asked him to part my bangs on the side and he looked at me like I was speaking a different language. How many times have you been in a salon and had to take the brush from the stylist to do it yourself? I hadn't either until I went to this crappy salon. This salon is beyond awful, I'm sorry I tried it and tell everyone I know to stay away. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I made the mistake of going here before a major event, the hotel launch party at The W in Ft. Lauderdale, and was forced to deal with the after math of his horrible "styling" all night. I looked like a frizzball with nappy bangs. Awesome. It's not like there were celebrities there or anything. I WISH THIS PLACE WOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS. oh, did I forget to mention the tacky decor inside? I felt like I stepped into a time warp that took me back to 1992. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the money and time...don't go here. You'll get better results doing it yourself. Case and point: my friend that went with me to this god awful salon went home and showered so she could do her hair herself. And in case you were wondering, her hair looked better than mine did...allow me to reiterate that SHE DID HERS HERSELF. I can't even express how much I hate this place. DON'T DO IT.

Cons: UNPROFESSIONAL DIRTY SALON

.

I felt like I was at Regis or something, which is somewhat ghetto in my eyes after my one experience there. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I want good work so I pay what I have to. I got a cut, color, and some highlights underneath all for $175, which is a great deal. I'm especially happy with the cut, I'm trying to grow my hair out but I want some style and Cary (Gary?) did a great job.

Unfortunately, he did not consult with me on the color I wanted. I said I'd like almost black on top, and he went with a reddish brown much lighter than I explained. I now have to go back, god only knows when I will have time, to have darker color put on. Then sit there and sit and listen to crap music in a boring environment. It was a decent place but seemed a bit generic somehow.

It's a good value overall, but make sure you ask a lot of questions and be confident in what you want from them. Not for timid people. Also, I don't know that they are very visionary. Make sure you have an idea and pictures before you go in. They can get the job done for less than the more elite places, and it is still good quality. I didn't get any neck massage or anything, nor was I offered a drink (it was after 6 so I figured coffee would be bad anyway, but I had to ask for water) but whatever.

HORRIBLE!! Beware, before you make an apointment read these reviews. It was the most unprofessional and dirty salon I have ever been to. Salon of the stars???? No way. That salon doesnt even deserve a half of star. Most of the workers looked like like they were off the street and homeless, there was no uniform and they did not even offer me a smock!. Have you ever heard of the color yellow-orange, great for a crayon, but not for hair!! I went in for highlights and before I know it my hair was bright orange. The "man" told me that he knew I wanted a free hair cut (fartheset from my mind) and yelled at me, saying "oh here come the water works." Anyone who had the color of my hair would have cried too. Instead of accomodating thier customers he fought with me! The owner was polite and tried to fix it, it is not as bad but still very orange. I am embarrased to go to outside. I am beyond disgusted and I would like everyone to spread the word.

Instead of accomodating thier customers he fought with me! The owner was polite and tried to fix it, it is not as bad but still very orange. I am embarrased to go to outside. I am beyond disgusted and I would like everyone to spread the word.

.

I called to make an appointment and was told that if i rushed over they would be able to squeeze me in. I replied that while i do live nearby, i would prefer an appointment. The gentleman on the phone insisted that i should come over right away. I got there at 12:45 and was told it would be 5 minutes. (upon looking around the salon, i realized that was not exactly a 4 star deal) 45 minutes later the facialist came out and assured be it would be another 5 minutes. I couldn't wait anymore i apologized to the facialist and explained to the receptionist that i wouldn't have minded waiting, had i not rushed like a maniac to get there, "right away" as i had been instructed and that i had *no* desire to pay for a service that went from being a pleasure to a headache! Unless you have all day to wait around ... pick another salon.
