Been to many Japanese restaurants in Orlando, but Amura is the best one I ever been to. Service was good and the rolls were great! I wish I brought my camera to take some pics... They were b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! Can't wait to visit near

I live in Switzerland and I dream of eating sushi at Amura. I go to Florida every year and I enjoy my sushi diet for my holidays. Try the Tuna Tataki and the Bubba Rolls...:)

Pros: Location is great but most of all the food is to die for...

Cons: Too far from Switzerland

Hands down, the best sushi in Orlando, if not Central Florida. Be sure to try the bubba rolls, crunch and super crunch rolls, and their delish salads. Enjoy!

I have eaten at countless sushi restaurants all over the country--from the highest end Beverly Hills and West Hollywood restaurants to fast food sushi. Amura holds its own with the best of them in terms of quality, creativity, and pure sushi bliss! They weren't voted one of the best restaurants in the WORLD last year and consistently voted Orlando's top sushi restaurant year after year for nothing. Super fresh melt in your mouth toro, heavenly white tuna, and fabulous pressed sushi, to name a few favorites. Even simple items like vegetable side dishes and salad are top notch. Try Amura on Sand Lake Road and you are in for a treat. Though there is another branch of Amura located on Church street, the Sand Lake Road Amura is the best, so be sure to go to the Sand Lake Road location.

Cons: Can be busy at times

I went here on a friday night. The place is JAM PACKED and I can see why.

My group waited for half an hour before we were seated. And even though every seat in the restaurant is taken, the service we received was excellent. Our waitress came back with drinks promptly and checked back often making sure everything was OK. We waited no more than 15 minutes for our food which was very surprising considering how busy the restaurant was.

And I must say the sushi was EXCELLENT. THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. I've tried plenty of other places and none of them were as good as here. I highly recommend this restaurant. Just go when it's not so packed.

When this place first opened, it was great. My company always orders To-Go from Amura and we always order the same thing. The last time we went, the sushi was HORRIBLE. The shrimp inside our rolls were small (they used to be large), and my crunch roll had absolutely NO crab inside. When i called to complain about the quality, the owner of the restaurant hung up on me and told me i was a liar!!!! Clearly shocked, i drove over after work and showed them the sushi (that i did not eat) to prove how poor it was. They were extremely rude and didnt even refund me my money or offer an apology. My co-workers sushi rolls were also horrible. It has the worst management i've ever experienced. No one at my company eats there anymore (we used to go twice a week), and they have permanently lost business with us. VERY disappointing. WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

This is the first sushi place that I can say that the size portion of the sushi is perfect. I have gone to several sushi places that the portions are so small you end up buying several rolls to fill up and the price for each roll are ridicules. My two favorite?s sushi rolls at Amura are the Volcano and Japanese Roll. Beauty and the Beast is my husband favorite and as appetizer the fried calamari. I think overall Amura deserves two toms up for the variety of sushi, price range and service. I recommend this place to any sushi lover and if not a sushi lover you might find yourself liking sushi after trying this place.

Awesome, fresh, imaginative ingredients. Try the Tokyo roll (my fav), Spicy Bubba, Pink Lady, Crazy Roll, Crab Rangoon....ok try them all. The Tuna Tataki is an awesome appetizer, so is the Miso Soup. Everything Ive had off the "regular" menu is excellent as well. Great service, everyone in the Sandlake & Heathrow locations know my boyfriend & me & they are all very friendly & accomodating.

Good sushi every visit. I have never had a bad sushi experience. The decor is good, the service is good the food is GREAT. They do need an awning for those evenings when a shower strikes, but otherwise a great place.
