I bought a $50,000 new Dodge Ram Mega Cab from them and requested a DVD player be installed. They put the disc exchanger inside the second compartment on the seat. No one can access it here unless we pull the truck over. They told me they never want to hear from me or see me again because I yelled at them - no bad language even though they deserved the worst you could possibly give them. I have a solution but the sales manager wouldn't even allow me to say what it was. Now that is service for you! Don't ever buy anything from these guys. They have absolutely no honor.

I went to the grocery store to buy ice cream last saturday morning and ended up buying a car from these a-holes at a tent sale. The next morning when I attempted to take the car back because it had dog hair in the trunk, I was told that they would clean the car for me but would not go back on the deal. I said, the banks are not open, I know they dont have the paperwork so just give me back my car. They were polite but firm and told me that a deal was a deal. I went to the dealership on north main street and spoke to the manager who said the same thing. They told me I could do whatever I wanted to do but they still wouldnt give me back my car. I am now riding around with "I hate gainesville dodge, ask me why" written on my back window. I really do hate them. I want my trade back so bad. I do not like the car I have and will have to attempt to sell it myself. These people have been very unhelpful. They wouldnt even offer to get me into something that would be more suitable. They basically just told me that a deal was a deal and that was it.

PROS: none
CONS: Snippy manager, cold hearted people

I would like to extend kudos to Rob Long who is a service advisor at Gainesville Dodge, 3000 N. Main Street, Gainesville, Florida 32609, telephone number 352-372-4343. During the third week of October 2005, my wife, our daughter and I were driving my 1995 Dodge Ram Pick up Truck up to Fayetteville, North Carolina from Riverview, Florida. About two hours into our trip my truck started giving me some real problems and therefore we contacted information and was given the Gainesville Dodge telephone number. We were given directions to the dealership and then came to meet Mr. Rob Long. Eventhough, there were quite a few people waiting for their vehicles, he was able to get my truck on the lift in a short period of time just so his technician could tell me what was wrong with the truck. This decision was so helpful, we did not know if we would have to stay in a hotel overnight if the truck could not be repaired quickly. Low and behold, the Catalytic converter was bad. Mr. Long could have told us anything he wanted and more than likely could have taken us for a whole lot of money, but he did not. He referred us to a local muffler shop, the dealership did not have the appropriate part. Mr. Long called the muffler shop, told them we were coming over and we were taken cared of in grand fashion. I then returned to the Dodge dealership, to not only pick up the trailer I was pulling, but also to have the diagnostic codes re checked just to make sure the catalytic converter was the problem. I wish to express my appreciation for the great customer service I received at Gainesville Dodge. I also wish to apologize for taking so much time in writing this email.

By the way, as long as Dodge makes trucks I intend to own one. Thank you for you time.

Gainesville Dodge is almost the largest dealer in gainesville. They have a lot of cars displayed in front of their office. I tested drive once, and very satisfied with their service.

PROS:
CONS: The price is higher than what you can find from big cities, like Orlando

Their service is really good. The representatives are friendly and honest. When I took my old Dodge Stratus to the dealership for an engine diagnostic check, they even gave me a free oil change.

PROS:
CONS: You would have to arrange an appointment for services over the weekends.
