My friends and I are on an adventure on visiting every Japanese restaurant in Brevard County. We ended up at Haru the other night and we loved it! Ok, so judging from the location, from the outside it looked like a hole in the wall. We went in and was kind of disappointed to be greeted by a caucasian, but she was very pleasant and knew her stuff. We were fooled by the outside because inside was a very pretty atmosphere. All of the tables we set up accordingly to Japanese culture. There was a sushi bar in the back with a Japanese looking guy fixing things up, so that made up for the lack of Japanese staffers. Another disappointment was the music in the backgroung playing American music. Would had been nice to hear Japanese instrumental stuff. Had enough of pop crap. Anyway, we ordered appetizers, rolls, and I had the chicken teriyaki and my friend had the steak teriyaki. It was devine! and they served you enough to fill you up. Wasn't expensive and overall it was a pleasant experience. Next week we'll visit Fujiyama in Suntree....

Pros: Warm atmosphere; knowledgeable hostesses

Cons: American music was playing. Ruined the Japanese feel.

Haru is a small Japanese Sushi restaurant with tasteful art deco style decor. The Sushi is excellent and they have a wide variety of cooked Specialties as well. This is a gourmet style Japanese restaurant that lends itself to a wide variety of American tastes. Crispy Snapper is one of my all time favorites. They top it with a fresh tropical salsa of mango, pineapple, and strawberries. Make a reservation, and be sure to leave room at the end of your meal for their awsome Tempura Banana. It has a crispy coconut coating and is served with fresh strawberries and whip cream. In a word......YUM!

PROS: Good value for the money, good parking, nice atmosphere, good service
CONS: possible black out dates due to special functions

This place is as real as it gets. The sushi here is the best and the prices are decent. The atomosphere is really nice and decor is superb. I would recommend this place to any sushi lover. Once you eat here you won't eat anywhere else. They also serve other japanese type dishes that taste great besides the sushi for any one who does not like sushi.

Ok, Voila was the French restaurant at this location several years ago. They moved to the Islands of the Carrabbean. The current restaurant is now called Haru and is an excellent Japanese restaurant, featuring sushi and cooked meals.
Very good.........but you may want to call ahead.
They often close one night a week for Medical meeting dinners, and it's never the same night.
You could find yourself turned away at the door because of one of these business dinners.
