I LOVED John Dee's! It is one of the places I miss the most from South Florida.

The BBQ is AWESOME!!! It always felt like I was going to a friends house to hang out in his pool room or something.

John Dee (The owner -- not his real name) made me feel like I was his friend -- not a customer. He looked out for customer's that might be having a tough time, tried to keep others out of trouble, and took an interest in my son who was 1 1/2 years old when I first set foot in John Dee's.

But, John Dee is who he is -- he isn't a phony. Just because you are a customer, he isn't going to put up with a bunch of attitude from someone.

There are bikers that hang out there, but they were only rude to people that were rude or disrespectful to them first. I will say this -- John Dee's is a second home to a lot of people, and they don't take kindly to snobs coming in their home and criticizing their way of doing things.

So many places were full of snobs -- John Dee's was a blue collar place that never made me feel like I wasn't good enough. It could be called a hole in the wall -- before they moved -- it was a dive, but I missed the old place on Southern Blvd. cause it was home!!!

Pros: Felt Like Family

Cons: Sometimes outsiders don't understand/feel at home

This Place is a HOLE in the wall! they have racial stickers everywhere. The food is all right, but the service is not worth a thing. I wouldn't waste my time there.. Go two doors down to the other bar. That Owner is a moron.. and the bartender is a spanish old girl in a biker bar..too funny!
