Palm Beach Zoo

You will perhaps have to lower your expectations, but once you do, you should enjoy the zoo. I went with my mom, and although we were a little old compared to the rest of the families there, we definitely had a good time. There were some exhibits that you were just incredibly close to the animals, especially the tigers. Be sure not to miss the Howler Monkeys, they're my favorite! Although the admission is a little more than it should be, this is definitely a fun day trip for kids.
also, bring a bathing suit for your kids. Right when you walk in there's a huge fountain that little kids run around in.

The Palm Beach zoo is a nice place to walk around, but it really is not worth the admission price. It is small, and most of the animals are in random cages (with the exception of the "featured" habitats that the zoo uses to draw in visitors). The way the cages and foliage are set up, it is nearly impossible to see some of the animals even in their small cage.
The admission price is unreasonable in my opinion. Also, they do not allow you to bring your own packed lunch, so on top of overpaying to get in, you are then expected to overpay for their food (which is not that good, either).
I'd go with a coupon or a friend who has a pass and can get in for free. Other than that, I don't plan to waste this much money again.

This is a cute little zoo. They have lots of interesting animals. Some animals are in beautiful habitats that are new- others are in cages. The animals are usually very active and easy for kids to see. The new bear exibit it great. They have a fountain area that kids can play in, a merry-go-round and a restaurant. Their admission price is reasonable. It's a little small, but the kids love it.

Palm Beach Countys own zoo is a very special place for residents & tourists alike. Whether youre 6 or 60, it is a delightful locale with many beautiful and rare creatures. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to take a moment away from their schedule to answer even the most complex questions pertaining to the animals housed in the zoo. A very peaceful place conveniently located near the highway and downtown West Palm Beach.

This is a small zoo by comparison to some of the other city zoos but it is a great and educative experience for the young children. Go in the morning before the heat of the day so you can enjoy it more. The kids love going there and they dont get exhausted as the walking is limited.

This zoo is very small. They do have many macaws which is a joy to look at. A very typical zoo with an alligator exhibit. I got my necklace caught on the fence right above an alligator so be careful. Took a while to get myself loose, all the time eyeing the gators. Not the best but I'm biased because I like variations in animals.

This is a nice zoo, it is small, but has a lot of great things to look at. Don't go on a hot day, the animals are not as active. I haven't been since the Hurricanes hit though.

THIS ZOO IS A QUAINT ZOO FOR OUR CITY. THOUGH IT IS NOT HUGE, WE FOUND IT TO BE QUITE ENTERTAINING. THE ANIMALS WERE ABLE TO BE SEEN AND THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THEM WAS CREATIVE. THERE IS A PLACE FOR KIDS TO PLAY AND THE ZOO FLOWS NICELY.
I WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR A DAY OF FUN.

What I like about this zoo is that it's small. I have 2 toddlers that can spend the morning there and I don't have meltdowns or bored kids. They love lokoing at all the different animals and playing in the fountains. There is a petting zoo and a carousel (additional cost). There's also restrooms at opposite ends of the zoo (good for potty trainers) and a cafe and snackbar. There is plenty to keep the little ones occupied and happy!

My kids absolutely love this zoo. We are members of the zoo and try to go every few weeks. They have great activities during the year and their camp is great as well. We had a birthday party at this zoo and they were very well organized. The kids had a great time.

The Palm Beach Zoo is a very managable zoo for young children- small enough that it isn't overwhelming, but large enough to see a variety of animals. There's also a water/spray fountain in the middle to cool off. I'd recommend it.

We love this zoo!! We took our son for his first birthday and he had a fabulous time. They have lots of animals in an area that's managable to walk around. A lot of the walkways are shaded, so it's not too brutal ni the Florida head. There's a fountain to play in, as well as a merry-go-round. We highly recommend this zoo!

We have been to zoos all over the country and this is, by far, our favorite! This is a small zoo - a perfect size for my small children (both under 8). We don't have to walk very far to get from one exhibit to another and the animals are close enough that my little ones can easily see them. Our favrite exhibit is the River Otters - they are behind glass and swim right up and "play" with the children watching them. This is a very inexpensive zoo - a family of four can get in for under $25. They even have a water-play area for the kids!!

It is a very small zoo which I was unaware of until we got there.
We did not see a lot of the animals that were supposed to be there. Maybe we just went on an "off" day.
I'll give it one more shot...
