This review is for L.A. Exotic Birds that is located inside of Wagon Wheel Flee Market. I went there and was ready to buy an exotic bird, but it wasn't long before I realized I had come to the wrong place. This woman who says she has been there in business for years was very rude and belligerent. She even yelled at me when I was trying to talk to her about what kind of bird I wanted. Everything I said was greeted with a disgusting rude retort. I walked away because I decided quickly I would never buy anything from her and do not trust the quality of her birds. She continued to yell loudly as I walked away like she had to make sure she got the last word in. Do not buy from this woman unless you want a way overpriced bird and there's no telling how it's been treated judging from the way she treats potential customers.

Wagon Wheel Flea Market is allowing backyard puppy mill breeders to sell their puppies. It is hot, no ventilation and no water.....not to mention they are further adding to the pet overpopulation while so many dogs are dying in shelters. Don't buy these dogs....they will only go and breed more! People like this need to be stopped but it takes everyone to make it happen.....don't shop, adopt!

What a great place. I just moved down here and can't believe the deals! Forget the malls, you can find everything here. I picked up a couple of REALLY nice knives at half the price they sell for in stores. I got two belts for cheapo, and citrus fruit for half the grocery store price. Why didn't I know about this before now????

I see someone would rather go to Macy's. HA This is a most wonderful flea market. Huge food court with Anne Marie from Nashville, all sorts of great food, a lake with a beer garden and more entertainment hundreds and hundreds of vendors inside and out. Lots of fresh fruit and of vegtable stands, huge variety of new and used products at super prices. (I see too many flea markets with the same product ...this place is fun with plenty of variety...by the way...If you don't like flea markets go to Macy's

My husband & I enjoy our annual visit to the Wagon Wheel. Everyone is friendly, bargains are great and we love the entertainment at the beer garden. We'll be back in the fall.

My visit was excellant! 2/6/10 I was visiting from NY and my aunt told me that I should go with them. My first thought was "OMG" is this in the city limits. This Flea market in a urban town. Being from NY you have very little in the way of small markets. Especialy produce, I spotted a produce stand while getting a beer and heard a woman shouting fresh strawberries!! I went over and talk to her, she was very nice and very country...lol She sold me some berries that were so good that i wished i'd had bought more. That was my best part of my visit to Florida. Great vendors. Location: Close to the beer garden... Go see her she's sweet!

It is the best Flea Market I have ever been to! When visiting family, every year, it is a must stop for me! They have booths with new products; booths with crafts (that are absolutely awesome); booths with clothes, socks, belts, you name it. There is also a section of used items. They sell fruits and vegetables, which, every time we purchased, they were nice and juicy. I consider Wagon Wheel a must stop!

The Wagon Wheel Flea Market on Park Blvd. in Seminole has isles and isles of bargains for those of you out there looking for a good deal. They have also updated their look. Most of the booths are now covered protecting you from the hot Florida sunshine.

If you are a bargain shopper, you need to check this out. You can get some real bargains here and unlike at retail stores, you can haggle a little bit for the best deals. they also have many vendors that sell produce that is GREAT much cheaper than grocery stores. the parking can be a pain and its not the cleanest place, but if you want to find some stuff on the cheap, its a place you should check out.

PROS: Prices
CONS: Crowded and smokey

We have been to St. Pete twice in the past 3 years and have been each time we have visited. We have found huge bargains while there and a lot cheaper than we could buy at home. You have to be cautious as to what you buy, but if you shop smart, you will not be dissapointed. We are going back in July 2010 again.

In visiting a flea market , you assume it's a fly by night, no guarantee, no return, as is policy. Wrong!

I wasn't happy with a set of sheet, wrong color, the vendor didn't want to take it back. I went to the front office, who quickly took my sheets, visited the vendor, and came back to the office with my cash refund.

According to the market, there is a return policy all vendors have to abide by.

I now frequent the place , great place for families, entertainment, beer garden, excellent food court, produce, and anything you're looking for is there.

Thanks to the owners for providing a legitimate, pleasant experience!

in answer to the idiot "ballin2010" in regards to your post about smoking at the flea market, you need to learn how to spell. I would guess though that your spelling abilities match your IQ. (non-existent)
I have never been to this flea market. I was going to bring my daughter and grandson to this market during there visit next week, but have changed my mind about EVER GOING THERE, because of the smoking.
I would bet you are one of those stupid smokers, the people God "didn't give the brains of a rock" too. If you
had a brain, why would you smoke, idiot?????
you idiot, are a rude, disgusting person, with a vile personality. hopefully I did not use words to large for you to understand.
also idiot, if you blew smoke in my grandsons face, you would be writhering on the ground from the pain of getting a well aimed kick to your crotch.

Who allows smoking indoors? We will NEVER go back here, the vendors smoke, my hair and clothes REEKED of cigarettes. It's 2009 people! Smoking is disgusting so we will boycott this place as all our friends are. Yes, it's a flea market, but there are children there, children whose lungs don't deserve your vile habits..and adults who find your habits disgusting....stay away if you want quality, this place is not it.

I bought a purse from the vendor at the first entrance B-C and the first day I used it, the handle broke and the inside change pocket tore. When I tried to exchange it - they said that I didn't buy it from them...I pointed out the exact same purse hanging from their hook, then they accused me of tearing it on purpose and trying to scam them...outrageous!!!

There are way too many smokers, P-U!
The place stinks so bad of cigarettes, they allow smoking "inside" where the vendors are. Don't go if you have a sensitivity to smoke and/or do not want your children, clothing, hair, etc. to stink of smoke. With that said... Get out your most comfortable walking shoes, your going to need them. This is a huge flea market, you'll never make it through in one day! Believe me, I've tried it! I spent about 8 hours trying, on a motorized scooter and still didn't get to see everything. You can find good and bad deals, old and new items as well as courteous and rude people. It is always buyer beware at these types of places. I would suggest bring batteries etc. to try before you buy. You do have to pay for parking, but they give you a voucher for a free hot dog and drink. I like the lady that paints the custom plaques, she does beautiful work. I also like the lady with the summer dresses, she always has good deals and you can get small to EX Large. I'm not so sure about the perfume dealers with their watered down version of designer perfumes/colognes and the Italian clothing guy inside with the inflated prices does not like to negotiate and he doesn't offer a good variety of sizes. And buyer beware about the T-shirt guy... he puts birds and other items on the T-shirts to hide imperfections, such as holes, stains, bad stiching, etc. You know what opinions are like, everyone has their own... you should try it for yourself.

Great place to visit. Found almost everything we go there looking for. We go about 3-4 times a year. One thing is you do have to remember it's a flea market not a mall. If you look at most of the reveiws you will see most people are very happy and know what a true Flea market is. the ones that aren't happy if you read their reveiw you will see cause they didn't really check things out and make sure things work or are in good shape it is no ones fault but theirs. You have to take responsibility for what your doing and buying. Yes there are people who will take advantage of you but only cause you LET them. Been to almost every Flea market in the state and this one by far is the BEST

Sounds like you should spend your time at the malls. A flea market (note the name -flea market- not Mall) is a place where you would go to find some wonderful used items and some really good new ones. I have met both friendly people and not so friendly people while shopping there. But again....it is a flea market. You are not shopping at an upscale mall. This is a wonderful place to go. Most of the vendors will bargin with you, which is half the fun. The Wagon Wheel gets 5+ stars from me and its the first place we head to when we arrive from out of state. We have been coming to the Wagon Wheel for around 30 years. Keep up the good work WW & vendors. See ya in June when we come down on vacation!!!!

My sister and I went to The Wagon Wheel Flea Market yesterday 4/25/09 and saw a man selling headsets you can wear to control the volume on your electronics without bothering others. I asked How much- He said $40.
I bought the headset with a Credit Card. I brought the set home and it did not work.
My husband went back today 4/26/09. My husband said- I thought you said it was $40. I said it was. He said -Well the slip says $52.
I called my Sister. I asked- How much did the man say the headset was? She said- It was $40.
When my husband handed the man the phone- He said I misunderstood him. I said Oh My sister misunderstood you too??? He tried to change the subject.
I will dispute this with my Credit Card Company- So Buyer Beware

Pros: Bargains

Cons: Vendors should have to display prices

People who claim this is a filthy place must live in a bubble. It's a FLEA MARKET! GO ELSEWHERE!
Flea markets, to me anway, should have that "frumpy" look. Any of those "clean looking" flea markets sell
mostly new stuff from third world countries. Give me the good old fashioned dirt floor markets anyday! You'll find
great buys here every week. I know this as fact, I do every week!

Pros: Just about anything your looking for here!

Cons: Noe, if you realize it's a flea market, not an uppity mall!

This place is essentially a garbage dump. Flies buzzing all around the fruit and vegetable stands, old junk that should either be thrown away or sold for 99 cents! Filthy people, filthy place. A total eyesore on Park Blvd that is a white trash magnet! Yuck! I can't believe anyone actually patronizes this worthless place.

Well we drove out from Ruskin to Pinellas Park and found this to be a waste of time and a poor sightseeing experiece.
Pinellas Park is kind of gross....Filled with strip bars, pawn shops, and fast food. It is NOT a beautiful place!!!! The Flea market lived up to this.....The garage sale section was filled with items that would have been better off to have found thier way to the city dump.
The rest of the flea market is too big and spread out and filled with the same old same old of designer brand knock offs and chinese import junk. MOST of The vendors are desperate and nasty.
They charge for parking in a rut filled dusty parking lot.
If you like rude white trash customers and dirty deperate vendors then this is the place for you! I would not go again. I have found the Red Barn in Bradenton to be a much nicer experience.
After seeing the ads on TV I was excited to go and then was VERY Dissapointed on arrival. YUCK!!!

Many vendors as far as the eye can see, all sorts of colours and items and many AMAZING prices (think $20 or $30 luggage that would be $60 in a retail store) My best tip to people going for the first time. Unless the item is TRUELY unique do not buy right away, make your way around the market then if it is the lowest price, jump on it (i.e. watches, t-shirts, souvieners).

Sometimes what seems resonalble will be insanely cheap in the next section. Impossible to see it all in one weekend. 2 is best, there is a mix of used stuff near the begining, but once you get inside its pretty airy and vintage. The other dude may like sterile malls, but that place has a LOT of character and lower prices then you are probably used to seeing. No matter the time of year, great time to think of Christmas gifts, something for everyone.

As for the guy complaining about the bathrooms. There are people who clean the bathroom for tips alone. I have always found them, although not glamours, clean and well stocked, which is all I need in a bathroom. Make sure to leave a tip on your way out.

Make sure you go EARLY if you don't want to be walking half a mile to just get to the entrence. I have to say, over the years that we go, I have always found myself buyign extra luggage, which is great, because if you get one of the roller styles it makes it so much easier to get all your new buys back to the car.

I found 2 unique pet carriers that meet airline requirements for 20.00 apiece. They are well constructed, lightweight and my cats like them better than the regular carriers.

My aunt & I as well as my husband can always find something we like when we go..from Bingo supplies to hot sauce to kitchen gadgets t0 musical instruments and luggage.

The food is good and reasonably well priced.

Pros: Wide variety of items at decent prices
Cons: Weekends only. Only 1 ATM on the premises...usually at the far end of where you start. BUT..I can deal with it. I need the exercise.

I think you should spend your time at the overpriced malls. The wagon wheel is awsome the vendors will bargin, which is half the fun.A large selection of different food for every taste so I dont get bored with same old same old.And if the prices are too high you need some bargining classes,I go twice a month and am never dissapointed. And most regular vendors such as dvd, purfume, hats, shoes, ect, ect if they dont have what you are looking for they will find it and give you call which I never expected from a flea market. The wagon wheel gets 5 plus stars from me and its the first place my friends from out of state want to go apon arrival. keep up the good work wagon wheel and all the awsome vendors that make it happen.See ya Saturday morning I would like to see it open a tad earlier but that is about it love ya bunches.... I love going to Wagon Wheel. They have so many things there it's unreal. My favorite booth is the T-shirt one at D46-47. The prices are real low and there are a variety of sayings. It's a great place to find "off the wall" sayings too. My favorite shirt is "Don't you wish your girlfriend was HOT like me". Next time you're in the St. Pete area, you just have to visit Wagon Wheel, it's alot of fun too and you never know what you might find.

One of my favorite things to do in FLorida. I love the Wagon Wheel. My favorite thing to look at there is the replica purses. They by far have the best selection of handbags at a pretty decent price. I also love the $1 booths. You can find anything and everything at the W.W.

Pros: It's grown a lot this past year and there is plenty of parking.

Cons: Not a lot of air circulating through the buildings. Gets pretty hot in the summer. Only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you're into medieval collectibles, weapons, fantasy art or figurines, then you HAVE to stop by and see Vic at A Knight's Realm. They're in the southwest corner of Building A (it faces Park Blvd)-you can't miss all the weapons on the walls! I also found great deals on their website at www.AKnightsRealmOnline. com. Although they didn't have the Robin Hood sword I was looking for, they located one for me and shipped it free of charge after sending me a pic and specs. I would highly recommend A Knight's Realm to everyone!
