When I received my glasses, they fit them and I left happy. Then over the next couple of days I noticed that the right top part of the frame where it met the lens was catching my eye brow hair and actually pulling it out. There was a very small gap between the lens and the frame. So I called to make an appointment to come back in and have them repaired or replaced, they explain it was an easy adjustment so I didn't need to make an appointment. I went in two days later and the lady behind the counter took my glasses and twisted them, compressed them or did what ever she needed to do to make the gap disappear. I tried them out and was pleased with the result. Then a few days later the frame broke, at exactly the same place the gap was at. When I tried to bring them back in to be repaired or replaced I was told that it wasn't their problem, it wasn't covered by warranty. I am on medicare and now I only get one prescription every two years, so now I am out a pair or prescription glasses for two years thanks to Lindsay Eye Care in Port Richey, through absolutely no fault of my own.

BEWARE everyone!!! If you are on medicaid you will be screwed b this company.... Just a warning, so don't say you were never warned if you go there...;

If you go here for a daily wear contact lens prescription, verify in advance Dr. Parsons will write your prescription for the legally required period of two years.

I received a contact lens exam from Dr. Brent E. Parsons at Linsey Eyecare in December of 2008. According to Florida Law(see references below), a daily wear contact lens prescription is valid for two years. When I called to purchase new lenses within this period, I was told I needed to pay for a new contact lens exam and fitting. I faxed a complaint to Dr. Brent Parsons stating if I didn't hear back, I would contact the Dept. of Health.

Doctor Parsons called me and stated he would extend my prescription to two years but wasn't required to because he didn't consider my my monthly disposable lenses as "daily wear". I guess his personal definition differs from the American Optometric Association, the Mayo Clinic and the FDA(see references).

He also stated that since I threatened him with a DoH complaint, he was refusing me future service. Since I have nothing to loose, I'll file a DoH complaint to help others avoid the same problem. Except for this issue, I would still be a patient. His skill was adequate and he had a pleasant demeanor. The glasses here were too expensive for me, so I used my script and bought my family's frames and lenses online at Zenni Optical. I guess I'll be going online for my contact lenses now too.

They are very good with small children who need glasses. I really like how nice they were to my daughter when she needed glasses before she began kindergarten.This is a very well set up office with plenty of space to move around and find what you need. There are too many glasses frames to choose from.
