This WaterPark is GARBAGE! I fear the allotted 4000 characters I am given to type this will not be sufficient or do justice in expressing my disgust for this insult of an amusement park. After driving 1 hour and 40 minutes to this disappointment, we waited in bumper to bumper traffic on the grounds waiting for parking. In addition to the $38 RIP OFF, they charge an additional $5 for parking. Although this is the new millennium (2008!!!) they do not accept credit or debit for this parking fee. After waiting several minutes to drive up to an attendant to pay this ridiculous fee, I am not only told they don't accept credit cards, but their small unpaved lot is full! That threw up the first red flag. I made sure to tell the degenerates working the lots that they failed us by not informing us at the main entrance that the lot was full. I was also kind enough to tell them that although I was not going to yell and create a scene, someone in line behind me may not be so calm. We had to exit the park and leave the car in a strip mall parking lot a few hundred yards from the main entrance. After walking back in the 95 degree heat, we entered the park and discovered the second red flag. All lockers were sold out. I was carrying a modest load. A small backpack that contained a wallet, car keys, etc? My items were not going to be secure. I was left with no choice but to walk back to the car and purge what I didn??t really need. I would have left the park and asked for my money back right there and then, but it was the only day I had off with my daughter and wife. I returned to the water park and proceeded to the first ride. No watches, glasses, flip flops, shirts or anything allowed on the rides, only your swimwear and yourself. I wore flip flops to walk back and forth to this dump as well as my watch. I brought the bare necessities. Car keys, credit cards so I can hopefully use it to buy food, the shirts on our backs and some ID. I can??t bring any of it on the rides and I can??t lock them up. We had to exit the line and leave our items unattended in one of the outdoor dining areas. Crossing our fingers we resumed the day. On the first ride we were confronted with one of the rudest park ride attendants. This was a common theme throughout the day. Employees here don??t crack a smile. No friendly gestures, only rude expressionless orders to go down the slides with their arms crossed as if they would rather be at the beach. That makes two of us now. I don??t trust that any of these people would have cared to save me or my family if we found ourselves in harms way. What a joke. Well now it??s time to eat. I understand that I??m going to have to sell my daughter on the black market after this is done to afford the meal, but hey, what am I to do? We??re hungry. After paying for our food, we had to wait 15 minutes standing up until we could find a table. After we found one we had to endure cigarette smoke while we ate. Apparently this is a smoker friendly establishment which is great for the kids that want asthma or shortness in breath while they try to swim in the wave pool. Have you heard enough? If I sound upset, trust me, I AM which is why I have chosen to write this at 1:30 in the morning. I can??t sleep otherwise. Moral of the story, save your money and don??t go to Big Kahuna??s. They should call it Big Kohones. The have the B***S to think we will stand for this. The owners of Big Kahuna??s are putting money into their pockets and not back into the business so we can experience an enjoyable day at the water park. They need to put money into 1. Customer service training 2. A bigger PAVED lot and 3. More tables so we can eat their expensive food. They can start there. I can??t lie though, the pizza was alright. That I??ll give em. If it??s worth the heartache and money, go for it. $38 per person, $20 per pizza (no they don??t sell slices) and a few bucks for a soda. Not bad. At minimum your only spending around $60 for one person to walk a few hundred yards and enjoy pizza. That??s all you??ll enjoy. Bon Appetit!

It is a great water park. Prices are the norm for this type of place. It is always clean and the staff is extremely helpful and cautious. They have plenty for all ages to have fun in the sun.

I took my kids here while on vacation and although they loved it, I don't think it was worth the price. The park itself is bigger than it looks from the parking lot but the cost is entirely too high for a family of 4.....almost $100! On the upside, the lines for the waterslides weren't very long so at least we didn't have to wait forever for just one slide. They also have an area for smaller children.

We go here every summer to hang out and have a good time. The prices are normal for a water park. Our kids always have a great time as well as us adults. There are many different water activites to chose from and the concessoin stands always keep you full. The staff is wonderful and the place is very clean.

We've been taking our daughter here for the past few years and we just love it. There are no big lines to wait in and there is a ton of different things to enjoy. We especially loved the wave pool when she was younger. The food is awful but like a previous poster said, you can run out and eat and come back in. They stamp your hand. The price is a little steep - around $20 or so for a childs ticket. I recommend the season pass.

I took my family here this summer on vacation and we had the best time. My children were 6 and 2 at the time and we found plenty for them to do. The water slides are so much fun and the lazy river was a very relaxing way to see the whole place. Be prepared to climb though, there are stairs everywhere. Food was mediocre and pricey, but it didn't stop us from having a good time. I will definitely go again!

I've taken my family to Big Kanuhas and it is great! It is WAY bigger than it looks from the road. There are many, many rides and areas for every age. We spent the entire day there and didn't get bored. The food was ok, but the food area was not very sanitary. The price was ok for a day trip and the rules are enforced which is nice.

PROS: TONS of fun!
CONS: Food area unclean

We live in Destin and love Big Kahunas water park because they never seem to have super long lines like water parks in major metropolitan cities, and they have just the right mix of water rides and pools. The price is very reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxing and cool. Your bare feet never get hot here, it is well planned out. We don't enjoy their food, but since the parking lot is right there (not 1/2 mile away like other parks) it is super easy to pop out to eat and then come right back. They have lots of shady areas for non-water lovers.

PROS: Bigger than it looks from the Road, lots of fun
CONS: Not so great food, many employees don't speak good English
