ICA is not a reform school. It is a school that does not tolerate nonsense. Last year three students were expelled, and this year so far four students have been expelled. However, chances are first given for the student to change his/her behavior. When they do not, no time is wasted in transferring them to another school. The environment of Christianity is first and foremost on their list, and although teenagers today are harder to reach than they used to be, ICA is doing an outstanding job of trying to reach the hearts of teenagers and give them the perfect atmosphere in which to find God's will for their future lives. We LOVE it - Go Blazers!

ICA is middle of the road. The Teacher's don't have the authority to discipline the Child. Way to many times the Child is sent to the Principal where as the Teacher with a little creativity could discipline the Child within the room. RE: Writing an Essay, writing sentences, looking up Bible verses pertaining to offense done, cleaning up within the room, the possibilities are endless with some creativity. Also, way to much tattling is done that could be avoided. Have a "tattle sheet". The Tattler must write the offense and then the Teacher reviews it to see if it is worth pursuing further. If going further, the Accuser must face the Accused so the Accused has the right to defend themselves. The School has a good sports program but no Teacher to teach the Child to actually learn computer skills. Every Child needs to learn the computer.

Inverness Christian Academy is one of the best small private schools I've looked at. It has a great bunch of teachers and faculity. The classes are small all under 15 kids per class. I love getting to see the different age groups interact together. The high school through kindergarten eat lunch together and play basketball together daily, which really creats some special bonds between all the kids. It's like having a large family. Being a parent, I volunteer regularly, and have grown very fond of all the kids.
