I attended this school and despite the fact that it was created by and is sustained by members of the church of Christ, it's not a place that is unfriendly to christians of other denominations. I think that the words written in the former review were unkind and inaccurate. The church of Christ is a scripturally based church, but it is not a place of condemnation and hatred. I understand that people have poor experiences, but please don't deter others from trying something simply because of your ill feelings towards it.

It's a wonderful place for spiritual growth. It's a small private school, and although I came from a background of public schooling, I found it quite easy to acclaimate to the rules of the college.

I think that anyone who is interested should feel free to explore this wonderful option:

Pros: Focused on building the mind, heart and soul; great atmosphe

Cons: limited number of Bachelor's degree programs

Florida College is a place where parents can feel safe sending their kids. A healthy, friendly Christian environment, where students are encouraged to grow. In the evenings the young people get together for devotionals, hang out and talk. When they do that themselves, it speaks well about what type of individuals go here. Though I never went myself, my friends have. They met Christians, made lifelong friends, fell in love with their future spouse. They built wonderful memories...such memories they have shared with me.

Pros: Spiritual, family like atmosphere

Cons: Smaller College

This is not a "Christian College" as it advertises...follow the twisted logic here...

The Church of Christ denies it is a denomination. It re-defines the term "denomination" to mean "a part of a whole". It also claims to be the only true church. As the only true church, it cannot be a part of the body of Christ. It IS the body of Christ! They believe members of "denominations" - Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, etc. are not a part of the body of Christ!

You've been warned!

Pros: Great breeding ground for the rabid defenders of the Church of Christ denomination

Cons: Not so great for other Christians outside the Church of Christ
