I have to disagree with the former review. I went to the SmileCare on Merrill Rd. with my son and daughter ages 6 and 8 and had a wonderful experience. My son had had a bad experience with Dr. Snyder. The dentist was very gentle. My son did great and had multiple fillings done that day. I was so proud of him. I would recommend this office to my friends and family.

Our first visit there took over 4 hours to have 2 adults and 1 child seen.
When we went for a followup to have some baby teeth removed, Dr didn't explain what she was going to do, just stuck needle in my son's mouth and said deep breath. She didn't apply any topical to his mouth prior to sticking him with novacaine needle. When she tried to stick him again, son put his hand up defensively. He didn't want to get stuck again. After my husband and I talked with him, we both decided he needed to see a pediatric dentist who could give him nitric oxide or something to make having 5 baby teeth pulled less traumatic. When I went to sign for his x-rays to take to pediatric dentist, I read in his file that the dentist wrote "patient refused to cooperate". I told the office personnel that wasn't true and that we the parents decided it would be best for our son to be treated by the pediatric dentist. I also said I was offended that she would write something like that. May be if she had taken the time to explain what she was going to do to him and put a little topical anesthetic on him prior to shoving a needle in his mouth, I wouldn't be writing this negative review. Three days later on a Friday at 2:20 in the afternoon, the office manager called me to inform us that the dr was dropping us as patients. When I inquired why and tried to tell her what took place, she hung up on me. How unprofessional. I simply stated my opinion. After several times of trying to contact them and only getting recordings and voice mail, I left a message stating I will be there the following Monday to pick up our records. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone, especially those with children.
