STAY AWAY!!! To make a long story short (4 hours we were there)...Referred by a Toyota employee to this dealership, we were expecting to be in and out in an hour as we called ahead. Of course when we arrived the "pricing" was not correct

I am not new to buying cars. I have bought 1 or 2 in my day and I have seen some really sleazy, bad dealerships. this was not the case with Bob Tyler Toyota.
First impressions are very important and when I walked into the dealership I was met by a young man, David Odom, who took great care of my wife and I. Everything from offering us cold water to drink (temps were in the 100's) as well as offering my wife a manicure (we were there on Ladies Day).
He worked with us, listened to what we wanted and what we wanted to spend and made it happen. we left extremely happy, very satisfied and with a new Toyota Avalon.
We plan on telling everyone about our experience with Bob Tyler Toyota and will deal with no one else in the future.

A couple of weeks, they had a tent sale. I was leery at first because I thought I was going to get a bad deal on a bad deal. I was very surprised.
I got a great deal on a used car, with a warranty.I never expected that. I went in with a set price in mind and I got the car for less than what I expected.
Now I know when my daughter is driving her new used car, I can feel confident that she is safe.
Thanks Bob Tyler!

The customer care ... I wouldn't say it's customer service it's more along the lines of customer care. They really took care of me. They expressed a willingness to make sure they either met or exceeded all of my expectations and they did a good job.

I was a Sales Manager of Bob Tyler Toyota and Suzuki and found that Bob Tyler abused his employees and customers. The Suzuki Mgr before me ran off with the Suzuki sales forces bonus checks just before Christmas and Bob Tyler refused to replace them (a little over $4000). I asked for the checks to be replaced and was disciplined. The Suzuki rep called me and told me Bob Tyler told them at the Canada meeting that he repaid the bonuses and I told him that was a lie. Upon Bob returning from Canada I was fired and was cheated out of over $10K in pay. I am a minister so I just told Bob that that Jesus loved him and he was forgiven. My advice is that anyone that abuses his employees and lies to the Manufacturer is not someone you should do business with. I certainly would never work for him again.

The guy that I use for a service rep is really an outstanding young man and he just makes me feel like I'm the only person in the world and that you guys are taking care of me.

I received a call from Bob Tyler Toyota about buying my 2003 Toyota Matrix from me. I thought it was odd since I've never had a dealer inquire about purchasing a car I had listed on Autotrade and Craigslist before.

I answered a few questions then I asked what did they guess the approximate appraisal to be for my car. They explained they couldn't do that on the phone BUT if I drove the 60 miles they could tell me. I told them I needed a ballpark before I drove that far and the man on the phone said between $8,000- $8,500 depending on the condition.

I then asked about selling my 97 GMC Yukon to them too, would they be interested. On the phone they said, absolutely, plenty of contractors need vehicles like that so go ahead and bring it in.

My wife and I decided to bring both vehicles down to the dealership from Crestview, FL to see what they would fetch. I wanted an idea to see if it was worth listing them on eBay or just accept an offer.

When I asked about the Yukon upon arriving the answer was, ""we have no interest in that car, why did you bring it""? I was not happy.

After waiting 40 minutes they came back with an offer on my Matrix. $7,000. The NADA retail on the Matrix is $12,500. Bob Tyler Toyota listd their own used cars on their own website at $1,000 ABOVE nada retail. The trade in is $9,500 for this car in fair condition. The car is in pristine condition.

I was obviously annoyed when he told me the price. The salesman said.....""Oh wait, let me see if he will offer your more, we go by the black book for car values"". The black book is what a car has sold at in the last 2 weeks at a car auction. Any car dealer with a brain would sell the car on eBay and get more than a car auction. I stated I wasn't really interested and he said, ""At least let me check"". I waited and he came back with a ""final"" offer of $7,500 and had the audacity to tell me the used car manager would hold to that price for the next 30 days if I changed my mind.

My few experiences with Bob Tyler Toyota:

1. Asking for a service manual for my car. I received blank stares, ""That should have come with your car"", and finally a correct answer (I can only assume), it's not available yet.

2. Left a message with service department to call me back (at instruction from the lady answering the phones after waiting on hold for some time). Days pass. No callback.

3. Tried calling again. Put on hold. Asked to leave a name and number. Waited an hour and a half for a callback. Called again, put on hold.

Something tells me they give a crap about getting new business.
