My son was miserable at this school. He was not even learning. They require reports. The children are not given lessons but read a textbook. The text books are mediocre at best. This school will not prepare your child for another school. If your child isn't motivated he's not going to be encouraged even. In fact they would rather fail a child to get another years tuition. This year alone they lost almost half their upper class leaving only 7 children because parents are pulling their children out.

We return to Claremont year after year for one simple reason. Claremont is completely child-centered in how they approach everything. Teachers get to know the students because your child will spend multiple years in the same classroom / with the same teacher. My son feels like Claremont is his other home. As a result, he is relaxed and open to learning. We can't imagine being anywhere else!

Claremont Montessori is such a unique school. Children are comfortable going to school and just being themselves. We have a diverse population without the worries of bullying and the stresses of traditional schools. Students manage their own time, choosing which subjects to work on, and move at their own speed. My daughter tells me all the time how grateful she is to go to this school, especially after sharing stories with friends and neighbors.

We have been so happy for the past 4 years that our son has been attending Claremont Montessori School. He looks forward to going to school and is excited by the program. He has continued to grow both academically and socially in a loving, caring, and nurturing enviornment. The school offers experiences that he would not get in a public school setting. It also allows for parent involvement if you choose to do so. We look forward to continuing his studies with Claremont!

I would not recommend the school, my kids lost a year. Bad leadership, understaffed. Loosing students every day.

Cons: Unorganized, understaffed
We did not have a good experience at Claremont Montessori School. Individual education concerns were not addressed and personal attention did not materialize. I would not recommend it.

Pros: Good parent community
Cons: Understaffed and dirty
Unfortunately, our 12 year old daughter faced terrible consequences of receiving an inadequate education as determined by two local parochial schools and a Michigan public school. They had tested her before and after attending Claremont. We posted a public letter at healthcomply-com.
