After seeing Goodman and Bernhisel, these doctors made me mistrust the profession even more. Goodman was my primary and my husband and I came to her to help us get conceive. I wanted to try to get pregnant as close to natural as possible at first so she prescribe the pill in hopes to get my period to be normal. When it didn't work, she kept pushing the pill on me and having me come back repeatedly for testing. She performs a HSG and tells me that I have a fibroid. There was no discussion on what to do about it but she gives the OK to continue with treatment. After another unsuccessful attempt, I told her that we need another approach and she puts me back on the pill (YAZ this time). I call her on a Saturday because I was feeling a pinching sensation where my liver is located and it took her forever to call me back. She dismissed my concerns because YAZ is a new medication and going back to the Ortho is silly. We all know NOW that YAZ causes liver problems.

I got pissed off at her wasting my time and scheduled with Bernhisel. What a effing joke! This man is so arrogant and so full of it. He tells me that there will be better results with the FSH injections and I will become pregnant. After $20K and 3 years of my life wasted, I wasn't pregnant even once. For the time and money that I spent with this group, I didn't even get a miscarriage to have proof that they can make babies.

The nursing staff does all the work here. You don't ever see the doctors and if you want to ask a question, they schedule you an appointment. The doctors are always late. They don't work on Sunday, so they will rush you in on Monday. Saturdays there are no doctors, only nurses again.

I do not recommend this group. Very insensitive and overbooked. first saw Dr. Goodman who is very impersonal and rushed and on one visit had me wait in the lobby for 2 hours and 15 mintues without any staff letting me know they were running late. I finally just cancelled that day and rescheduled and changed to Dr. Yeko. I was satisfied with Yeko during laporoscopy but then follow up care was terrible. He started me on clomid and Ovidrel trigger shot. He never even talked to me about side effects of the medication and I ended up on bed rest for 2 weeks with severe cramping and debilitating back pain and constipation, hot flashes, rashes. I have no other health conditions and symptoms started right after I took the meds. I have called Dr. Yeko's office 5 times during this 2 week period and have had to leave a message each time and his nurse Tiffany callled me back each time, however, she stated the Yeko told her he does not think it is related. I told her i have done online research and it is well documented that these severe side effects are common. Tiffany continued to say the doctor does not feel they are related. I asked to be examined and she stated the first appointment available was in 2 weeks. I told her I cannot wait I am in debiltating pain with cramps and feel something could be wrong she offered no solution or compassion and was very invalidating. I then called the oncall doctor after 5pm his name was Dr. Bernhisel, this is the only way to speak to an actual doctor. He agreed that i need to be seen the following day to check of cyst or other complications. He advised me to call the office in the morning and I will do that tomorrow but after will not been seen by this practice again. Very poor quality.

"we can do it on our own" Also said I might have PCOS because of some hair on my chin, little does he know I was 7 and I used the shaver on me. Also told me one of my tubes was had a hole in it...am I car now?? Anyways I do not recommend this doctor, save your money and do your research.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME..

AVOID this group, including the office on Fletcher. They are only after your money. They have the appearance of a nice office that's efficient, etc. But in reality they do the absolute minimum so that you keep coming back, all the while charging you or your insurance. They performed an unnecessary procedure on my wife and never, ever, spoke with me or gave me any treatment whatsoever for low sperm count. We were completely duped by them but fortunately we figured it out and after reading the various reviews of similar experiences, we knew that our suspicions were true. The doctors are difficult to get a hold of and they have their nurses/staff do all the talking for them. Avoid Dr. Tarantino especially, but I would just avoid the whole place entirely.

I think for the most part the negative comments are warranted. Our Dr was more interested in having us purse the egg donor route than will to explore more advanced techniques. When we finally gave in out of desperation and scheduled the IVF, we showed up early on a Sunday morning and our Dr (Bernhisel) didn't even show up because he was attending the FL-Georgia game in Jacksonville. In his place arrive (2 hours late) some unkempt, fat Dr we had never seen or heard of before. We never saw or had an appointment with the embryologist to review the "status" of the fertilized eggs and they could not have been less caring or concerned about the eggs or my wife. It was like a fast food restaurant... Get them in and out and see what happens. And what choice did we have because the fertilizrd eggs can't be put on hold. When the IVF failed, it was all matter of fact to them and they pushed to reschedule another IVF and why not? At $6 to 8K per shot, a failed attempt is just another money-making opportunity. These people are the worst and the only positive thing that came out of this was the fact that we met a wonderful doctor at USF, Dr Plosker. Great people, wonderful staff, truly caring professionals who take the time to make sure you understand everything and never hesitate to keep you informed. Dump this sorry excuse for fertility, the Reproductive Medicine Grp and run, don't walk over to USF.

This place is horrible. I was told they were the best so we went there and i only wish we did our homework first. The doctors do not care, the staff does not care. Its simply a money making machine. Dont try to ask a doctor any questions unless you have an appointment. We were there for blood work one day and I made the mistake of asking to see a doctor because i had a question. The nurse looked at me like i had 3 heads and told me "no, you need an appointment to see a doctor" What a joke. That was my last day there.
The best part is we wasted almost a year going through procedures that we find out now would never have led to a pregnancy. Please, do not waste your time and hard earned money here. I wish someone told me this before we did. Since then we have found a great doctor who by doing a simple procedure was able to determine why we havent been successful. The reproductive medicine group did nothing from day one. They immediately started with the 3 attempts with IUI knowing we would go for the IVF if that didnt work. The test my new doctor ran showed the IUI would never have worked anyway due to some blockage. The place never once called and asked why we havent been back or why we left, that just shows they dont care. Thats ok, karma is a b%$#$%.

My husband and I were told of the Reproductive Medicine Group and were unbelieveably excited for help in concieving through IVF. It started out alright, but once payments were made the doctor seemed as if he could care less about our progress and even made statements that our business was not necessary and they were busy enough in their practice as things were. I felt more like a machine than a patient, communication was horrendous, and things continued spiraling downward from there. I realize these physicians are not "miracle workers" and sometimes the process of concieve is simply not possible, but that should not excuse the horrendous treatment they provide. Knowing what I know, I would have gone nowhere near this business

Not a good experience. Just like the reviewer had already said...big lack of communicatoin. The doctors just expected you to know everything rather than them telling you. Go to USF, much better and the staff is excellent!

We tried two different doctors at the group. It seemed like there was a major lack of communication between the doctors and nurses as well as office staff. Too often, important details of procedure was left out at times leading us to not do the cycle that month. It seemed like they were most concerned with making money than with the outcome of the patient. Office hours were inconvenient and were difficult for those working a job. It just didn't seem like they really were sensitive to that needs of the patient. We also, ran to USF where we were so impressed with the doctors, office staff and nurses. We used Dr. Silva but all the doctors are wonderful. It is a smaller practice so the care is individualized. You can even email the doctors and nurses when you have questions and they get back to you right away. The doctors also do the ultrasounds and procedures so there is no waiting around for calls. You always have access to the doctors and can ask questions. This was the best money spent. We got pregnant however, even if we didn't, I would swear by USF IVF.

After 2 years of trying to have a child, we were referred to The Reproductive Medicine Group and became patients of Dr Tarantino. After 3 failed IUI's in 2000, we had extensive testing in 2001 prior to our 1st IVF. Although we did achieve pregnancy, we m/c within 8 weeks. The staff had incredible patience and helped us consistently. Took my phone calls without fail. In Feb 2002, we did our 2nd IVF and in November 2002, delivered our 1st child. Although it has been almost 3 years since his birth, we stop in frequently and say hello. The staff, still the same, are like family now. And were very helpful when we discovered a surprise natural pregnancy this Spring. They helped me maintain composure and have beena wonderful support system.
