I had a bad experience with this daycare. I do believe the staff is very caring, and do have the interest of the children at heart. But, I must state that the director, is very unprofessional; which may be the reason for the decline in care and staff morale. I was told by staff members to, "Pop in during lunch" to see what my child was being fed. Red flag:(
I left A Child's Place, informing management that I had a credit due to me. The management stated that I did not have a credit. After comparing receipts for three days; not to mention, I wrote a letter to the Board of Directors, and no one called me back, and dealing with rudeness. I finally said to myself that it wasn't worth. The management had a nice-nasty/sarcastic attitude. It simply wasn't worth my time. I found a wonderful daycare for my little one, and she is happy.
To my amazement, today in the mail (approx. 11 months later); I received a statement stating that they own me money. Wow, really? I am not surprised that they are having problems.

Our daughter has attended this school since January 2007. This place is excellent. The teachers and administrators are friendly and always willing to assist or answer any questions you have at any time. They welcome you to visit the school at anytime. The teachers are friendly, well educated and always willing to discuss any questions you may have about your child, the scholl or programs there. Miss Evelyn is an excellent teacher who has vast knowledge and experience with children as she has been teaching for many many years. Ms. Bonita, Ms. Rosi, Ms. Anne, and Ms. Gaynelle teach Pre-K and they are fantastic with these children. They have patience and always keep you updated on your childs progress in the program. They are always friendly and have truly enjoy being with these children. The field trips are always a highlight for the children. The school has safety and security meaures in place to keep the children safe all while enjoying their field trips. The transportation busses are safe and always well maintained and serviced. The security at the school is also very secure so that you can be assured your children are in a safe, secure environment, allowing you to rest assured your child is well taken care of. The meals are well-balanced and the children learn necessary reuirements everyday from how to line up to go to lunch, to eating with manners, and serving themselves. The school and the teachers definately boost the childs self-esteem and are always patient and understanding while being firm as necessary. The director, Ms. Pat is a very personable, friendly woman who is easy to talk to. She takes time to discuss your child, the programs and any questions or concerns you may have. With her experience in the child care/education field she is knowledgeable and communicates well with the children. Ms. Debbie is in the office among other duties and also always willing to answer questions and assist you. While I have only mentioned some of the staff here, I have seen so many other teachers and so very many happy children. The children all enjoy going to school. What a relief that is for a parent with the additional knowledge that your child is safe and well taken care of and learning. The school is always clean and the staff that maintains the school grounds and property is friendly and polite. Mr. Tom does an excellent job maintaining the grounds and keeping the school clean for the children. He is always friendly with a greeting to the parents. We all wave and talk when he has a spare moment. The school is always neat and sanitary.

As a parent, I was very concerned when I was searching for child care. I went to Child Care Resource Network's website and researched MANY schools. While no school is perfect, I wanted a school that was clean, had all the necessary paperwork on file and preferably no infractions on their inspection records. I was amazed at the schools that were not in compliance. However, A CHILD'S PLACE was in compliance with all the regulations. I then scheduled a tour of the school to see for myself. I was so pleased with everyone I encountered on the tour. I did look into 2 other schools, as that was how many I found in compliance in addition to A CHILD'S PLACE. I did not get the same feeling at those schools. As a parent, you can tell when children in a day care setting or happy and well-cared for. This is what I found here. If you are looking for a day care or school for the VPK program I urge you to go visit the school and see for yourself the happy smiling faces of the children that attend A CHILD'S PLACE. Your child is the most important thing to you as a parent and I highly recommend this school but urge you to ask questions and visit the school prior to enrolling your child. See for yourself what a great place it is for child care.

As for the reviewer blaming the school for an accident, things can happen on ANY bus at any school. What occured was an accident and they have not had any incidents since then. Go to CCRN and review for yourself, be educated and make important decisions with knowledge. The turnover of teachers is very low so therefore, I feel that the teachers are happy there and compensated as standard in the day care industry. Most people enter this field due to wanting to teach children and assist in their learning, they are not looking to become rich, as any teacher is well aware. I have family members who are teachers and they have visited the school also and agree with me on the wonderful place it is. Check it out, you'll be glad as you will find a quality day care or VPK program for your child and you will be able to be confident on the care received.

This place is a disaster. I would not send any child to this center. The day care is unsanitary and they numerous problems, from faulty playground equipment to poorly trained teachers. The teachers are expected to work overtime without pay and are given few breaks thoughout the day. This is not a way to treat people who are helping raise children. This is also the center that is responsible for the van rollover that resulted in a child's death. Do not send your children to this day care center!
