I have been suffering with a herniated disk in my neck for 2 years, I was taking Steroid shots to ease the pain, but not only was it costly it did not last more than 3 months. My doctor wanted me to try Physical Therapy, but a friend recommend Acupuncture. I went online and called a few places they were very expensive with massage and Electrical acupuncture they wanted $120 -$150 , then I found Dr Ku,who charges $60-$80, read up about him and his schoool and decided to try. Now I hardly have any pain in my neck and I am drug free. I recommended my wife and she had back pain , after 3 treatments her back is 70% better, and now she will continue to see him monthly.

★★☆☆☆

I was greatly disappointed with the acupuncture treatments that I received at the Center for Chinese Medicine. This is a school that teaches the art of Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, but the "professors" are the people that actually give the treatments. I am an avid believer in acupuncture and herbal remedies, and I have received numerous acupuncture treatments from other practitioners over the course of several years, so I do have a basis for comparison. In addition to being given ineffective treatments, I found the fees that they charged to be excessive. Furthermore, the atmosphere of the clinic is very utilitarian, which is not consistent with the relaxing environment that other acupuncture practitioners create for their patients.

PROS:
CONS: Pricey and Ineffective treatments.

February last year my back was hurt when playing basketball with friends. I went to the specialist and was given pain medicine. After a whole week of taking the medicine, my back pain was getting worse. A good friend of mine introduced me to Center For Chinese Medicine to get acupunture.

At the Center, Dr. Ku suggested that I have 3 to 4 acupunture sessions. The first session was a wonderful experience. At that time, I couldn't even bend down to touch my toes because of the pain. As a dance teacher, you can imagine how painful and upset I was. I felt much better after the first session (of course I still couldn't believe it worked so fast). After the second and the third sessions, I could tell the pain has gone away, I could even exercise on the treadmill again. After the 4th session, all my back pain has disappeared. What a relief! I thought I was never again able to dance.

Dr. Ku and his assistant called me several times after the treatments to check on me, making sure I was fully recovered. I live in New Tampa, more than an hour driving distance from Center For Chinese Medicine. Although there are many acupunture offices in New Tampa, I still want to go to that office because of my personal experience with Dr, Ku and his assistant Kelly. I don't know what to say, many thanks to them! They are the best I have ever met, that is for sure!

Pros: Great services, pleasant environment, and best results
