I do not recommend for men's hair. My first cut was great but the stylist has since left (Charlie). I tried a few of the other stylists but I don't think they are used to cutting men's hair. Everyone was very friendly though..

My hair has never looked better, but my only criticism is that I asked for an estimate a few times and was never given pricing until after my service was complete. I almost cried when I found out my color and haircut service ended up

My curly headed freak boyfriend hadn't had his hair cut in 4 years because no stylist in the past had really listened to him. Alana took her time, listened and he looks fabulous! I was so impressed I went the next day to have her cut my hair! Again..she rocked it! Thanks Alana!

I went in after reading the reviews on this site, and they were all correct!! It has been 2 weeks with my new cut, and with the styling techniques Lisa gave me, my hair is just as gorgeous as it was the day she styled it! For 32 years, I never knew my hair could be this curly!! It is a wonderful cut to wear straight or curly, this is a first for me and I intend on keeping it! Loved the atmosphere and I did not feel out of place, altough I don't fit the ""Thorton Park image"" I will refer everyone I know that it is definately worth it!! Thanks Lisa!

I know I'm not the only one that has went to a salon and wanted a haircut that you just didn't quite get, it looked decent but it just wasn't quite there. Thanks to Lisa I was able to walk out of her salon knowing that I got a cut that was better than I ever thought it could be. \n\nLisa was able to create the hair that I didn't even know I could get! She did an amazing job with such skill, precision, and attention to detail that I couldn't stop staring in the mirror. Lisa was able to heighten my vanity with the brilliant cut she executed. \n\nYou know there is a certain self confidence that you gain when you walk out of a salon after getting your hair done knowing that you look even better than when you walked in. To add to this heightened confidence is the compliments received by others on how good your hair looks (especially multiple times within an hour). \n\nI like to quantify the quality of a product by the number of compliments received. At this point I am unable to quantify the product that Lisa has put out for the sole reason that I have been unable to keep count.

Before going to Lambs I was never loyal to a particular stylist...my attitude was a haircut is a haircut. After going to Lambs once I fell in love with my hair. So much so that even after moving to South Carolina I still drive back to get my hair done.

Lambs Eat Ivy has such a relaxing atmosphere which goes together with the great hospitality from all the stylists! They make their guests feel at home by offering water or coffee at every visit which shows they value their guests. I love getting my hair done there it is fun and up beat but still relaxing unlike most salons. The stylists take their time on all their clients to make sure the guest is getting what they came for. I love the decor of the salon and it is always kept nice and clean..someone is always constantly cleaning! I have never been unhappy with any hair cut or color i have gotten there, I use Alana and she is absolutely wonderful! =) They use the best products and have them all for sale. I really recommend this salon!!!\n\nLauren Cownie

I was new to the area and went to a salon in Kissimmee to have my light brown hair highlighted. When the hairdresser turned my chair around I was shocked to see my WHITE straw-like hair. I was practically in tears. Lisa P. took the time to explain the mistakes the other stylist had made, and did a number of treatments to fix the color and texture. I'm hooked now, and will continue to visit this salon in the future. HIghly recommend!!!!

Lambs is a great salon! The moment I walked in I was greeted with a very friendly staff and felt right at home. This salon has a very unique feel from the decor to the music. The stylists really take there time and listen to what it is you want to do with your hair as well as recommend new things to try. They are very knowledgeable about the newest styles and techniques. I really like their natural products. I have loved every haircut that I have received and am very happy that I have finally found a salon in Orlando that I am really happy with. ( recommend Alana!!)

I have tried almost every hair salon in Orlando and always found a reason to look for another. I am super picky with my hair as far as color and cut (my mother is a hair stylist, so I am used to getting exactly what I want). The search has stopped when I met Lisa and her amazing staff. I have been going to her for about a year now and instead of looking for reasons to not come back, I am finding myself looking for reasons to go in! I love how Lisa can take a thought or my mood and transform it with my hair. I totally trust her and recommend everyone to give this salon a try. She did my hair for my wedding and will continue to do my and my family's hair!

I decided to get my hair done at Lambs Eat Ivy 3 years ago after reading rave reviews on Citysearch, and it was probably one of the best decision I ever made. Lisa is one of a kind. I trust her enough to go in with a blind fold and know I'd walk out with amazing hair. She is thoughtful, creative, ahead of the trends, and knows what works with your face, style, and personality. She is also an amazing colorist and knows her blonde. The rest of the stylists are also remarkable. I have never seen anyone walk out of Lambs Eat Ivy without amazing hair and a smile on their face. My only complaint is that I live in New Orleans and have to make constant excuses to visit my parents in Orlando to get my hair done. I'm spoiled and am 100% positive I've already been to the best, and it seems at least 49 others have as well.

Oh, good, somewhere I can rave about this fantastic establishment without a 255 character max. Grab a drink and have a seat. This could be a long one.\r\n\r\nIt all started with a weekend brunch with a friend at Dexter's in Thornton Park, a place I previously avoided because I associated it with pretentious snobs. While waiting for a table, I admired the hostess' hair and made my friend try to discreetly snag a picture of it with her phone. After unsuccessfully trying to convince me to overcome my selective social anxiety disorder by simply asking the hostess where she gets her haircut, my friend asked her for me and the hostess graciously referred us to Lambs Eat Ivy, right next door. \r\n\r\nThe entire staff is great. They're welcoming, fun, easy-going, entertaining, easy to talk to, and they get to know you and remember you. Lambs periodically hosts Free Styling Lessons, usually in the evenings during the week after the salon is closed for regular business. If you give them your email address, you'll be notified of upcoming events. Tip #1: Call and reserve your spot early! There's limited space and they fill up fast. Luckily for a procrastinator like me, the fabulous Ciarra kept me in mind for last minute cancellations. And I didn't even have to sit outside the window and pout like I planned. They start with light hors d'oeuvres on their gorgeous patio and if you're lucky, the best Sangria ever. They recommend products, but they're not pushy. I went the week of Valentine's day this year and Lambs gave me my only V-day present because I was a lonely girl at the time (a cute little basket of chocolate and some Davines products.) Ah, Lambs, my love.\r\n\r\nAlthough everyone is great, Lisa is my usual stylist. For my first appointment, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and came prepared with pictures. Since it was a pretty drastic change, I wasn't sure that it would work on me, but Lisa listened and reassured me it would. She really understands all the little nuances about different hair types and shares that knowledge. The junior stylists occasionally stop by her chair and observe as she explains certain techniques or tidbits. It's an environment that encourages that kind of learning and knowledge-share. Lisa did my hair for a wedding and not only was it gorgeous, but it may have been the only day in my life that my hair didn't go limp the second I walked outside. It lasted all day. My fav though is when I go in for a cut and tell her she can do whatever she wants. Her face lights up and she never disappoints. It takes a lot of trust to give someone that freedom with your hair, but she's definitely earned it.\r\n\r\nI could go on forever, but I'm going to wrap it up now. Just some other quick favs about the salon that never fail: soothing scalp massages, always intriguing convo, and trying to convince Gregg to buy an island or that I'm not related to certain filipinos.\r\n\r\nVisit Lambs! Vote for Lambs! Love Lambs!\r\n\r\n

I am new to the area and needed my highlights done badly. I have been having my hair done by the same person for the last 10 years so going somewhere new terrified me. I found Lambs Eat Ivy on City Search and I am so thankful I did. Everyone that works there went out of their way for me and every other customer. Gregg is an amazing artist and such a good listener! He not only revolutionized by boring locks but he gave me local restaurant and house buying advice! I highly recommend Gregg!!!! The receptionist Sierra is so sweet and accomodating! I also received the most relaxing hair washing of my life! Their products are incredible! My wavy hair is now pretty much resistant to the Florida humidity! I would have never thought that was possible! I walked out of the salon feeling like A New & Improved Me and as if I had spent a week at the spa! Everyone that walked out of the salon looked gorgeous! Visit Lambs Eat Ivy!!! This Salon is full of creative and accomodating stylists!! You don't know what you are missing!!

Pros: Great Service, Great Color, Great Products

Cons: Pricey, but definitely worth it

We are new to Orlando, and I found Lambs Eat Ivy via Citysearch. I made an appointment with Brianna for a haircut and color. \n\nThe salon is in a really great spot in Thornton Park, and yes, it is a city neighborhood, so expect to park on the street. For me, this isn't an issue. From the moment I walked in everyone there was friendly and welcoming. I waited (with a beverage and magazines) for a matter of moments before Brianna was ready for my consultation. \n\nBrianna is lovely, and very professional. I made myself pretty clear on what I didn't want considering I am trying to grow out my hair, and felt comfortable proceeding with her suggestions. She even offered to show me a picture of what she was envisioning, which I really appreciate. \n\nThe salon itself is relatively small, but does have a cool vibe, as other reviewers have noted. For me, I wish the stylists' stations were a bit more private, as you do feel like you're overhearing everyone else's conversations. With that being said, however, everyone (including clients) were friendly without being intrusive. \n\nI have read that others were appalled to learn a Stylist Assistant was going to cut their hair. I too would not approve of that. However, I saw no such thing in the several hours I was in the salon. The assistants are all very contentious to the clients' needs and dedicated to learning from the stylists. My trips to the shampoo bowl included fabulous scalp massages by Marvin, a very pleasant young man new to the salon. \n\nThe long and short of it is this, Brianna was amazing! My color is really rich and actually complements my skin tone. The cut was VERY well done. I have lived all over the United States, from Chicago to Denver, and I have yet to find someone who actually took the time to consider my hair type as well as what I hope to do with it. She is really talented! Also, every single client I saw walk out the door looked amazing, so I don't think you could go wrong with anyone there. In addition to Brianna, Gregg and Jacko also did amazing work. \n\nThe only downside to Lambs Eat Ivy is that the prices are very high, in my opinion. With that being said, you do get what you pay for and I certainly can't claim I didn't know the services would be expensive, but I was pretty shocked to hear my total for services considering I have short hair. Frequenting Lambs is definitely a monetary investment in your physical appearance and self confidence!\n\nSo, if you are looking for stylists who actually know what they are doing and a salon that is modern without being obnoxious or pretentious, make an appointment at Lambs Eat Ivy!!

Pros: Friendly Staff, Quality Products, Talented Stylists

Cons: Pretty Pricey

I was blonde for twenty years and decided to break from the typical mold and be a redhead.....for the past year I have been to 3 excellent hairdressers who could not get it right. When I went to Lisa I was ready to throw in the towel and go back to blonde, Lisa spent a huge amount of time consulting with me. Lisa did not tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me the truth. I am and achitect/designer and I know how difficult it is to tell clients the truth, it is much easier (and less time consuming) to take their money and not defend your vision. I very much like my new hair and friends that all loved it, A very difficult color to pull off and Lisa did it. I also was very impressed with the Davine's products... I am used to using Pureology and I think the Davine's is a much better price and superior product. I am a perfectionist when it comes to color and I strongly suggest Lisa.

Pros: Attitude Talent Atmosphere

I loved this salon. I have had the same stylist for years until he moved to Grand Cayman. I live in College Park, so I tried Alchemy because it seemed hip and fashion-forward. The first time I went, I had an ok cut and color... but I was appalled at the snooty attitude of the receptionist. I went back one more time to try again, and the stylist basically did whatever she wanted. I couldn't believe it! After a few reccomendations, I decided to try Lambs Eat Ivy, and I am glad I did!\r\n\r\nFirst off, although this is a chic, hip salon, the pretentious attitude is nowhere to be seen. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and most of all just seems happy to have you there. Gregg was awesome! he gave me a cut that totally complemented my face, and brought my color back down to earth where the natural colors live (no more foil streaks for me!!) \r\n\r\nI am truly happy I found my new salon home.. I cannot wait to go back for another visit!! \r\n\r\n

Pros: eco-friendly, sustainable, ambience, staff

Cons: you pay for what you get and you get great so you pay for it!

the girls at lambs eat ivy are very courteous to the customer. especially if it's your first time. i went here on a whim, after reading good reviews to this place. before, my barber friend always cut my hair, and now i had to find a new place since he moved to houston. they are very friendly and do a great job with the cutting and styling. lisa, the owner and one of the barbers did my hair and i really love how it came out. she knows what she's doing.\r\n\r\nthanks very much guys. looking forward to my clean up a couple weeks from now.

Pros: a lot

Cons: a little pricey for a cut, but well worth it to make sure you look your best.

Even though I've lived here for years, I never found a salon/stylist that I loved enough to keep coming back to. Mind you, I've studied abroad and have had a salon that I kept coming back to in London, even in Miami, but no such luck in Orlando. Until I randomly discovered this little gem in Thornton Park. I like the nice upscale-ish salons - I just don't like their snooty stylists/colorists and god-forbid that the receptionist actually be nice. \r\n\r\nBut it's like a whole different vibe here. It's not contrived yet still finds a great stylistic niche for itself. The ambiance is great, the stylists, colorists, even the assistants have a great eye, a positive attitude, and an incredible personality. The receptionist - Sierra - love her. Totally sweet and helpful. The owner is really down to earth, funny, and a stylistic talent in her own right, no uppity-ness here! \r\n\r\nI've only worked with Jacko (stylist/color) - and I LOVE her. She seems to know exactly what to do to my mop of hair - cuts, colors and styles it into another amazing look. (Ah, the complements I get). \r\n\r\nHonestly, I trust the talent in this salon - if it was an emergency and Jacko wasn't available, I wouldn't mind checking out the other miraculous hands in the salon - since everyone comes out looking stunning (male & female) :) \r\n\r\nIn fact whenever my old roomie from Ireland comes into town - we drive down to Lambs first and then head to lunch. :) And if they had appointments on Monday - my bro would love to go too ;)\r\n\r\nSo go - talk to Sierra - book an appointment with any of their fabulous talent and when you get there relax with a cup of green tea and walk out feeling like a better You. \r\n\r\nall the best - lst

Pros: Ambience, Service, (Free Bangz Trim after your cut), Staff

Cons: Parking: I just find a spare street spot, Price: It may be a tad more - but considering how I feel when I walk out - it's worth it!

This was my first time at the salon. The service, staff and environment was excellent. It has been about a month since my first cut and I still love it. I forgot to mention, great products.\r\n\r\nYou should go ASAP!

I just receintly started having my hair done at Lambs Eat Ivy and I can tell you it has been years(maybe decades) since I have been as happy with my hair. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The receptionist, Sierra is awesome! Thank you Lambs for making a 40 year old mom feel hot!!

forget consistency, respecting your time or for that matter why you're there... oh you wanted that haircut? oh well you have to understand just because you show me a photo I just use that as my spring board ... (and then take free liberty with your hair) leaving you with a very average at best; and what shade is that?? I won't even bore you with the details of how many ways they can f-up a colour. Jacko & Gregg seem nice and their clients seem to like them. Just read all the reviews and see if you think it's worth the coin.

Pros: good music, funky decor

Cons: pushy on expensive products, unnecessary waits, let 'trainees' do your hair - lame

I was a client of Jacqo's today and was ASTONISHED at the absolute magic she performed on my hair. In addition to being an absolute artist, she listens intently when discussing your wants to her. I could elaborate, but I'll make it short and sweet. Bottom line: BEST cut EVER, BEST haircolor EVER.

Went there a few days ago. I read all the reviews for it and was prepared to be wowed. Unfortunately, I was not. I went in for a wash, cut, dry, and style. The stylist was really nice and friendly, they weren't stuck up or rude or anything. It's just, when you pay $65 plus 20% tip, you expect a hair cut that's above mediocre. It's not a bad haircut, by any means. It's just so so. She thinned out my thick hair, styled it a little. But I don't look any different. Well, my boyfriend thinks I look different, in that, as soon as i came back home, he said ""Nice mullet!"" \r\ngood thing i have a sense of humor and know that hair grows back.\r\nI am always open to trying drastic and edgy haircuts, because my hair grows back fast. I guess, the whole gist of what I am saying about Lambs Eat Ivy is that it is overrated. It's an extremely fashionable, beautiful looking salon, very upscale, yet has an approachable feel to it, and the people are friendly. They just didn't wow me with the hair cuts. \r\nI'll stick to my $35 wash, cut, style, and a flat iron hair salon. Not only does my regular place charge less, but they REALLY make it worth it. After haircuts from my place, people compliment me constantly about my hair, I really look and feel like a million bucks. EVEN IF lambs eat ivy gave me a FREE haircut, I'd still feel the same about the place. Sorry, but that's how i FEEL about the place. Luckily, other people seem to have had better experiences than I did, so good for them. When you go to get a haircut, you should leave feeling like a million bucks and look it as well. I just didn't get that feeling when i left lambs eat ivy.

Can I give them twelve stars? Seriously. I went to Lambs Eat Ivy for the first time a few days ago and received the best haircut of my life. I have naturally very curly hair and have gotten many a terrible haircut from people who don't know how to work with curls. Lisa used my haircut as an opportunity to teach some of the other stylists the ins and outs of cutting crazy curls like mine and after listening to her describe the process for a few minutes I felt completely comfortable. We started with a consultation when she made sure she knew exactly what kind of look I wanted, how I normally style my hair, what products I use, etc..-she is very sweet and super nice. She totally took her time and paid an immense amount of attention to getting it right. I hate to sound cliche but at times I could see the artist come out when she was cutting INDIVIDUAL curls seperately to create the right shape. I could not have been happier with my hair cut - there's no way. I kid you not, since leaving Lambs Eat Ivy I have received at least one compliment on my hair, from a complete stranger, every single day for the past 5 days. The salon itself is beautiful and relaxing and everyone who works there is extremely friendly. I will recommend this salon to anyone and everyone who will listen. My only advice - other than go to Lambs Eat Ivy - is get there a little early because parking can be tricky. My only regret is that it's going to be a few months before I need a haircut again.

I love this place! I have EXTREMELY thick, straight hair, and Jacqo has made me feel like i don't! (For those of you with abnormally thick hair, you'll understand). I have a cute hairstyle that I am capable of styling myself (no mean feat!) that i LOVE. I have referred others here and they were thrilled with their hair as well. It is not snobby or stuffy at all, and everyone is really lovely. I feel so pretty! I will keep going here as long as I live in Orlando!

I have been going to Jacqo for a while now, and she does amazing hair. I tried finding a stylist for so long! From cut to color-She really listens to what you want, and gives great ideas. I have dark brown hair and I always want hightlights. Highlights look great on my hair for about 3 weeks, and then for some reason my hair always turns a little orange-ish and it's time for a toner. (No matter who I have gone to- this ALWAYS happens).\r\nSo I recently found out that Jacqo is certified in doing Great Lengths hair extensions which are 100% natural human hair- super high quality. We talked about using extensions as my highlights. In our consultation she told me out of all the hair extensions people put in, they?re the safest, the healthiest and the best ? they don?t damage your hair and when it is time to remove them- they don't harm your hair either. I went in yesterday and got a partial head of highlights and it looks FABULOUS!! The color blend looks so natural. I LOVE IT!!! I think what makes the Great lengths extensions so amazing is that they are bonded strand by strand using a keratin protein tip, not with chunky glue, wax or knots. Who wants Glue or wax clumped up in their hair? If you have ever considered getting extensions- GO SEE JACQO! If my hair wasn't already long I would go for a full head of them! I am definitely going to send the short haired women her way! Go see her- you will not regret it!

I was a referral to Lamb Eats Ivy by a friend. I had been going to the same hair stylist for about 2 years and just decided I wanted something different. I was nervous trying someone new b/c I had become comfortable. I went in and basically said do what you think will look best and work for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair!!! He did an awesome job with the cut and color. I never imagined this cut on me and now I just can't enjoy it enough. I HIGHLY recommend Greg. He definitely knows what he is doing. Very creative! The salon has a very chic and urban feel. The place is just great!

The look of Lambs Eat Ivy Salon is sophisticated, urban chic. The receptionist (Ciara), who sits behind a huge, gorgeous old-world desk, is friendly and professional. There is always a new featured artist being showcased at the salon so, in those rare times when you have a short wait, there is plenty to see and admire. While I have only had my hair colored and styled by Briana (who is absolutely brilliant), I have yet to see someone walk out of the salon who wasn't looking fabulous and satisfied with their experience. The only downside to this salon is the occassional difficulty finding a parking spot on Washington St. But, for the most part, this has not been a problem for me and it is well worth a short walk through the Thorton Park neighborhood shopping district to get to such a great salon. Finding a truly talented stylist who you completely trust to do your hair is godsend, as it is. The fact that it is in such a stunning, stylish salon is just icing on the cake.

Pros: Ambience, service, skill of stylists

Cons: Parking

It's been 5 years since I've entrusted my hair to Lisa. I have had nothing put compliments to her and her talent. Lambs Eat Ivy is in my opinion the best Salon in town! I just want to thank Lisa and the Lambs for always making me look so good. It feels great to be told I have great hair from friends and strangers alike and even asked where I get my hair done at. It makes my day! Thanks.
