Jillys has changed management and weekly events. It is a great place to go; you can play pool, games, great Staff, weekly drink specials, stocked with about any liquor you desire and beer domestic imports and draft.

I've been there numerous times with friends of mine to see bands play. Mainly, this weekend during the Mid-Summers Night Artist Showcase charity for Gulf High School's chorus program. Me and my friends spent well over $200 at the bar to help out the cause. Everyone there was really into helping out. Two people from the audience even donated $100 each, on top of all of the money everyone else had donated or pair for songs with. Everyone was having a great time, nothing bad was going on, no fights, no disagreements between bar-goers..etc.. As soon as the band stopped, the staff were yelling and cursing at everyone to get the "F" out, to down their drinks..etc. They cheaply ran up bar tabs by bringing beer to people who never ordered any, just expecting them to pay for it. Two friends of mine ordered a few beers early in the night and throughout the night, the bartenders kept bringing them more and more and more even though they never ordered it. They paid for it anyway up until around the second or third time, when my friend's wife finally said they had to drive, to bring them sodas instead. Two other friends of mine kept having their drinks snatched by the bartenders as well. They ordered the specials for the night, took a sip, put it down, turned around, looked again and the bartender had taken it. We had to literally hold our drinks in our hands to avoid the bartenders taking them, and even that didn't work sometimes. My friend's husband had to take his drink back from the bartenders a few times when they tried taking them. Overall, the whole staff was very rude, obnoxious, disrespectful, and unfair. If they wanted everyone out at a certain time, they should have closed the bar itself so nobody would be ordering anymore drinks until they close when the bands stopped. Loretta(I think that's her name?) Was the only bartender that I didn't notice being rude to anyone. The other two were yelling at people to get out of the bar literally less than a minute after the band stopped for the night. They were even trying to kick band staff out, while everyone was packing up their equipment. Definitely NOT recommended by me nor the friends I was with those nights.
