DISHONEST. And I see that someone else here said the same back in 2009. When they screw up it is VERY BAD. And the owner will attempt multiple excuses rather than admit that they did a rush job, ignoring the request to maintain the original seam as they had done on previous pairs. When I dropped them off I asked about this and she said "yes of course" yet when I returned a second time because they also did not have them ready on agreed day, she said the "fabric" did not allow the jeans to be altered in that way. Surely that would have been obvious if so, when she took the measurements and assured me the seam would be maintained. They have done 3-4 pairs for me before the correct way and they looked great. But this time they butchered two brand new expensive pairs of jeans because they were busy and took the quick way to fix them. The owner first tried to tell me it was because they couldn't match the thread color, and when I pointed out that they had matched it (in both pairs incidentally), she then tried to tell me it was because of the fabric. Again, had jeans done there before with same fabric and the two pairs I brought this time had different fabric weights so that excuse was a big fat lie as well. A friend from work told me this week that she had altered her dress to be so small she could hardly get it on. And guess what her excuse was? Yup. the fabric. Not poor quality control or rushed work which is what is really going on there. SO WATCH OUT and when she screws up and tries to tell you it's the fabric or the thread, call her on it. I will never trust her with my clothes again.

After years of depending on Lily's for my alterations, I have become increasingly disappointed in both the quality of the alterations and the level of service. Frequently, my items are not ready when promised forcing me to come back and / or do without the item for a particular trip or event.. I visit so frequently that she knows my name yet isn't the least bit apologetic when my items aren't ready. This is perhaps because she is understaffed. She has long since needed a front-desk person to check people out while Lily pins and provides advice, but insists on handling all of the traffic herself which creates unnecessary delays. During my last visit, I brought 3 items in for pining and sat waiting for almost 10 minutes to be pinned while she fully helped every customer that walked in or called after me. I'm used to her bouncing back and forth, but now that she is busier, it has become much worse. Today I went to pick up a sample of an embroidery project she was working on for me for an X-mas gift...when I arrived it wasn't done and less than a week before X-mas, she isn't sure she can do it without altering the logo. This was information that would have been good to have a week ago when I still had time to perhaps have it done elsewhere. After years of doing busy with Lily, it's time to move on.

I took my wedding dress to Lili's to take in the sides at the top that are beaded. I called ahead of time and when I came in, while I had my dress on, about 5 people came in and she bounced back and forth from me to the other customers (this is unprofessional, hire someone else to take care of extra customers). I also asked her to fix some loose beads at the top of my dress, which she pinned and said "ok, ok ok..." trying to rush me out. I called a week later to see if it was ready and it was, and my fiance picked it up because I was out of town. He walked into the store and not only did she not fix any of the loose beads, she again bounced around all the customers in her store. She told my fiance she took care of the ones at the "bottom" (there were none at the bottom), but still had to fix the ones she originally pinned at the top. My fiance waited in the store and she charged $10 extra for this. She not only told me she was done when she wasn't, she also basically charged $10 to fix 1 or 2 beads and lied and said she fixed so-called loose beads at the bottom. The sides she took in came out ok, but I think she is more concerned about making money that she will take as many customers as she can get at the cost of being unprofessional and overcharging. If you want to go to her, I recommend you take the time to go over everything and write down estimated cost, DO NOT let her rush you out of her store and check the work when she is "done."

I take all of my garments to be altered to Lili's, including high-end denim and expensive formalwear. I have always been very satisfied with the results, and it is very inexpensive. Often your garments are ready in 1-2 days. Would be willing to pay more for such great service and high quality results.

I took my Air Force ROTC issued pants here to be altered. Not only did they end up fitting perfectly, they were originally too long, but they did not charge me a dime. If you are all about supporting the US military this is the place to get your alterations done.

I completely disagree with the previous review. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences there, and I am a repeat customer. Lili's Alterations is the best place to get quality tailoring done in town. Some people clearly don't understand that there is a difference between dry cleaners- quality work that costs under $20 and high-end tailoring... especially on a formal dress, which often consists of several layers and more intricate detail. Lili herself is very accommodating, allowing customers to pick up their garments in a rush if necessary. It is a small, clean, welcoming shop. And considering the quality of work, fair and reasonable prices. I encourage everyone to try Lili's, it is the only place I trust with my clothes.

I needed to have a bridesmaid dress taken in and I took it here. First, she charged me $67 to have it taken in and the length taken up!! (this is very expensive, I went to another place in town and they charge 50% less). When I came back to try the dress on, it still was too big because it was not taken in right. And when I said that it still did not fit correctly (mind you this is a strapless dress, which must stay up), she argued that it would cost me even MORE to have additional alterations done and that it still wouldn't fit right-that's because she didn't do it right to begin with. She just moved the zipper in the back, instead of taking in the whole dress on both sides. My friend, another bridesmaid, had the same alterations done and that place charge only $25 and fixed the dress right, not the way that Lili's did it. Also, the "dressing rooms" are not very private and very dirty. My dress also needs to be cleaned now because the floor was so dirty

Lilis is a great place to take your clothes for alterations. Lily herself will help you find the right length or fit for your clothing. They offer 2 small dressing rooms. The quality is excellent. Turnaround time is fast and you can request something be done on the spot if you need it ASAP. They also offer embroidery. The prices are very reasonable. She will even sew clothes for you if you bring in a pattern and the material. Very friendly staff. Easy to find. Plenty of parking.
