I read the previous reviews for this school and I wish I could say that I had the same good experiences as they did. I signed up for the phlebotomy/EKG class at the Miami campus and absolutely loved it at the beginning. It all started going downhill when it came time for the clinicals. The main reason I chose this school was because it "offered" 120 hours of an externship. When it came time to schedule the externship..they scheduled each of us for 3 four hour shifts and that was it! So when my classmates started going to the clinical I started hearing stories about how the supervisor was always late and the clinic was virtually empty. They would spend 4 hours at the clinic and not do anything. Not even see a patient much less draw blood. And in order to get nationally certified, you need to have a letter signed by the externship supervisor stating that you've had 50 successful punctures in actual patients. When We brought this issue to the attention of the clinical coordinator, Ozzy, he said he "couldn't control how many people need to get their blood drawn" and our teacher said that we did not have worry about it because he had a magic wand. When I went to the clinic the supervisor wasn't there and wouldn't be back for another 2 hours and I was told to wait. The last day of class the teacher walked in cursing and screaming at everyone saying he was fed up with all the bulls**t and the complaining and started arguing with students until one of the ladies that works in the front desk asked him to leave the class. This was a complete waste of my time and money. They do not offer financial aid so I had to pay everything out of pocket. I canceled my EKG class and over a month later I'm still waiting for my refund. I strongly recommend that no one attend this school because you're going to waste your time and money. I didn't learn anything and yet I passed with a B because the teacher gave us a study guide with the questions that would be on the test. There's were suspicions of students cheating on their final and there was almost a fight on the last day of class.. It just was a complete mess. If u value your money, do not go to this school.

This school, from what I am told, has the highest rate in the county of students who actually PASS their state/national exams. My fiance loved his instructors, the office staff was great, and they were very helpful with financial aid. They offered reasonable payment plans, the tuition was comparable to other schools, and they offered a great study session before the tests. You're taught by men and women who have REALLY done these things, therefore, they can teach you realistically. You don't have to worry that this person teaching you doesn't actually know what they are doing, they do.
