Think fake granite counter tops and flame-retardant beadspreads and you have a pretty good feel of the place. It's not horrible, mind you, but you can do better.
Our room had a glorious view of the parking lot through a sliding glass door with a rail, but no balcony. Funny, that. The bedroom was separate from the small living room, but the living room was not what I would call inviting so we spent most of our time in the bedroom watching TV after our journeys out and about.
The bedroom TV was in an armoir as they so often are these days. The difference was that this one had a decided slant to it. Bad slant. I meaning leaning precariously, which of course brought gales of laughter from this reviewer...
The place was clean, and they do have a rather nice full-sized pool in the center courtyard with comfy lounge chairs. Skip the restaurant though, it was.. shall we say, less than appetizing the morning we got brave enough to try it.
There is a tiki-type bar by the pool where you can the requisite watered-down drinks for twice their normal value from the disinterested bartender.
The rack rate here is an unbelievable $179, but we only paid $50. Still, I wouldn't consider this a deal.
If you are in Boca on business then you would probably find this place satisfactory and very well located, but if you are on vacation you would do well to seek other accomodations. This one is nowhere near the beach or other points of interest.
PROS: free wine and beer in the evening
CONS: For Florida, this is mediocre at best
