I was the very first person to pay the $100 application fee to rent a house I really liked. This company strung us out for 11 days while not returning my phone calls before giving us an answer. I was told by the receptionist (because the rental agent wouldn't return my calls) 4 days before they rejected us that our application had been processed.
The reason for our rejection: they decided to rent the house to another couple!!!! Do what??!!! How unethical is it for them to take the money from another applicant for the same house at the same time knowing only one person will get the house?!!! They did not reject our application, only decided to rent to someone who applied AFTER us!
I asked several times prior to submitting our application if anyone else had applied before us and was told no. I didn't realize they would hold out and wait for someone else's application to go through.
I should have known from the beginning how horrible of an experience we would have with this company. Theresa; the rental agent, was rude and unpleasant to deal with from the beginning. If she is so unattentive to prospective customers I can't imagine how bad it would be to deal with her after you are in a lease.
I have nothing positive to say about this company. They scamed me out of $100 and now I'm stuck with a short amount of time to find a new place because it took them almost 2 weeks to tell us they were not renting the house we applied for to us. They offered to rent other properties to us, but I really don't think I'll give them anymore of my money!
PROS: Can't think of any!
CONS: SCAM, took our money, unethical, unattentive, unprofessional!!!
