Don't ever rent a Budget Truck from here. First was treated rudely by staff manager who looked like a cast member from Dance Fever. Reserved a 10' truck over the phone with Budget, told me to go to Pep Boys, but when I got there was told

Don't ever rent a Budget Truck from here. First was treated rudely by staff manager who looked like a cast member from Dance Fever. Reserved a 10' truck over the phone with Budget, told me to go to Pep Boys, but when I got there was told

My last visit to my local Pep Boys.
Here??s why.
Arrived 9:30 a.m.
Made to wait for over 20 minutes.
I finally had to ask for service.
Requested an oil change.
$47.00!! Outrageous and the most I??ve ever paid for a standard oil change.
They said I needed a new air filter.
An additional $20.00, but with ??no charge?? for installation.
I found the same filter on-line for $7.85.
I kept the old filter and a second repair shop said the old filter did not need to be replaced.
Waited longer and finally checked on the continued delay.
They had mis-communicated and no one was installing the filter. The car was just sitting.
Had I not checked, I might have waited another 30 minutes.
Total damage ? $67.00 and 3 hours of waiting for an oil change and air filter for a Honda Civic.
I complained and was given a ??discount?? of $20.00.
If I had not complained?
What??s wrong with this picture?

Ok. So my family has ALSO been coming to this store my whole life. When I first moved to Lutz (im 20) they were building this area up. Every time I go in I can have free air checks, wiper blades installed, and even request which mechanic works (of course I choose the cutest though lol) but yeah.
I have also compared numerous times prices of other places and they are cheaper than dirt (and walmart). If you don't want to pay for their service just go in the store and get it! I learned changing my air filter is easy and cheap.
Anyway, I don't understand the lady who was complaining about getting asked to have the wipers installed at walmart, there are plenty of capable men in there {that aren't mechanics doing there JOBS}.
If I HAD to pick something that has given me anything close to an issue is them not having a line for customers? idk really

thir website sucks.iam looking for 4 tires. they will not tell you how much they cost. so i will get them at tire plus.they will give a compeat price

I'll start this review by stating that my family have been costumers of pep boys for years. But that will stop today. I was treated so rudely today by the MANAGER, that I felt as though I was on hidden camera. It was raining outside, and my son and I had purchased wiper blades from Wal Mart. We could not get them on, since Pep Boys was right down the street, I did not think twice to ask for their help. I politely asked the cashier if he could help, he said sure, once he was done ringing up a couple of customers. I thought, NICE GUY :) Thanks .......Until The Manager who was standing at the end of the register out loud ,asked me if I bought them at Wal mart, I said yes, He said, I should go back to WalMart and have them put them on my car, I thought he was making a joke, so I repeated, you think I should go back to walmart >? He said yes, he was serious, and began to walk away from me. I was very embarrased, as there were customers looking and laughing at me. I understand he was sore that I did not buy the blades at his store, but with all the purchases we have made at this store, I cannot believe the attitude of this man. I will tell all my friends about this experience, maybe the manager had a bad day, and decided to take it out on me. But, there are many other auto stores in Tampa, and I will shop them instead. Thank You

I took my car to get checked/inspected.
First they made me wait one and half hours AFTER the time I had been told to collect the car. they hadn't even started on my car. Apparently they needed time to chitchat and mess around...
Then, they broke my Hood Release handle. Then reported it as previously broken even when the mechanic admitted he broke it (in writing! no less).
Then they refused to correct their mistake.
All this even when I told them I had written proof!!!
The manager's exact words...""I'm not gonna fix it!"" ""I'm not gonna argue with you!"" and ""I have other customers waiting!""
