The best steak i've had. The waiter was very nice and was very good explaining the menu to us. We also had dessert which there are no words to describe it but "delicious". I love how they show the different kinds of steak and the live lobster that comes out on the cart.

I've been to all the chain restaurants in Orlando and I must say that this is the best in this city! I have been to other Shula's in Florida and all I can say is WOW! I'm not if it is the ""Disney Magic,"" but this one is head and shoulders above the others....I had the New York Strip (an indicator of a great steak house), cooked Medium rare and it was delicous. Maybe a little large for my liking, but I did manage to finish it! The sides are plentiful and served steak house style (may I recommend the twice backed potato) and the King Crab Claw appetizer was just massive....service was friendly and prompt and they even validated my parking for me and called my car around (which was a nice touch.) I was a huge fan of Morton's, but on recent visits I have not been overly impressed....Shula's is my new Orlando favorite!

Pros: Steak was incredible, service was great

Cons: Portions too big, it's on Disney Property

I recently went to Shula?s Steakhouse for a special occasion on my visit to Orlando. I work as a professional chef in Manhattan, and I am a devoted carnivore who looks for a good steak house in any city. I?ve heard so many good things abut Shula?s, but I simply cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who knows good steak.\r\n\r\nI will praise the service and the cooks there: they are professional and try to deliver a quality experience to the guest. I cannot say that value can be found anywhere, however, since prices (especially the mark-up on wine) are outrageous for what they offer. Granted, this is supposedly a place for people on company accounts, but $45 for a bottle of Ravenswood wine I?ve seen at Publix for $15 is unreal. The meat my guest had was cooked properly, the sides were flavorful (albeit a bit dull and simplistic for the price), and the service was prompt. It?s Orlando and you won?t find the refinements that you would in ultra-fine dining restaurants, but I knew that going in. I won?t comment for what small mistakes I saw, but it?s the big mistakes and cut corners that will keep me (and probably others) from this place forever.\r\n\r\nMy biggest gripe is the quality of the steak, and that should be the ultimate focus of a STEAKhouse. My Kansas City Strip was cooked as I requested, but there were chunks of cartilage on the ends that seemed to have been ignored by a careless butcher who wanted to get the weight right above all else. Since it?s the only thing on the plate, and they don?t offer sauces, it had better be a great $38 steak. I mentioned this to the dining room captain, and he sent us a great dessert on the house, but it was a dead deal at that point. \r\n\r\nI know nobody is perfect, but I DO know that many smaller restaurants get these things right without all the corporate money and staff. It just seems so greedy - someone was cheap on the meat because of a steady customer flow of people who don?t know good food and have money to burn.\r\n

Pros: Prompt service and a strong wine list

Cons: No value for the price

This restaurant is not run professionally. The service is rude and slow, the food is mediocre, and when you point out the deficiencies, they don't seem to care. I swear ,the manager I spoke with seemed to be drunk. How can they allow this? Do not waste your time and money. Capital Grille is much better in terms of professionlism and guest accomodation.

My wife and I recently dined at Shula's, and honestly were not at all impressed. The evening started with us having to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time, Upon being seated we were greeted by a not-so enthusiastic server. The steak I ordered was ok, but my wife's was well over-cooked. The service was nothing less than poor, it took almost ten minutes for the waiter to re-fil our water glasses, and ounce they knew we were not drinking alcohol, the service was pretty much non-existent. I sent the restaurant an e-mail , and a month later still have not been contacted. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Excellent service. They know how to treat their guest. Steaks are done to perfection. The chocolate soufle is out of this world.

I don't understand how they get away with charging Prime Steak prices and DO NOT serve Prime Beef- same thing at Capital Grille which also DOES NOT serve Prime. My party of 4 dropped a bundle here last week and despite all I've heard and read, we were sorely disappointed. They spent 15 minutes at the host stand trying to sort out our reservation-still don't know what that was all about so we got off to a rough start. The prices are outrageously high given the grade of the meat- higher even than all the prime steak houses in town. The service was pleasant and memorable but for the wrong reasons. Lot's of apologies when our steaks were served-3 out of 4 were over or undercooked. So they left one on the table and took 3 back redelivering them individually over the next 15 minutes. Might have been a bad night but even so, there are several others PRIME steakhouses where you're money would be better spent.

Pros: Love Coach Shula

Cons: Way overpriced-NOT PRIME BEEF- only serve CHOICE

This is the best Steakhouse in Orlando period. Charley's steakhouse, Ruth Chris, and Linda's have nothing on this place. I've been to Shula's 4 times for different special occasions and I've never been disapointed. Is it expensive? Yes, but it's worth it. It's not a place I would say to go once a week unless you can afford a 100 dollar bill plus each time. The service has always been great and the steaks. They are to die for. Their salads are excellent. It's an excellent place to eat for romantic dinners for two or special events. It's classy and fun. It's not everyday you get to order off a football. Also this is not a place for kids. This is a ADULT place and is no place for kids under the age of 10. Other than that this is where all steaks I eat now are measured on.

My wife and I picked Shula's for our anniversary, and being a local resident I was not to thrilled about ""hotel"" restaurants. I travel quite a bit, and from experience I tend to avoid them. Having said that, Shula's is definitely an exception to the rule. From the minute we walked the service was impeccable, the staff very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent! Not to mention the wonderful wine-list. Since then I have been back numerous times with clients and will continue to return. Great JOB!!!

I loved this place. My beautiful wife took me to Shula's for my birthday recently and it was AWESOME! The food is amazing and definitely the best I've had in Central Florida. I had the 16 oz. NY Strip and a baked potato (which was the size of a shoe box) and really didn't have room for dessert....but since the waiter brought us a complimentery lava cake (because it was my b-day), I had to make room. \n\nOur waiter was great. He was one of those fancy waiters with a Spanish accent. Something about accents - it always makes the waiter seem more knowledgeable and polite. Our only two complaints were the location of the restaurant (near Disney) and inadequate lighting. To illustrate how dark it was, the professional sounding, bilingual waiter brought out a small flashlight to shine on my steak to ensure it was cooked properly. It was. \n\n

Visited Shula's a couple of days ago and I was impressed with the service and the food, however I was quite disappointed when we were charged $10 for sharing a plate with a 7 year old child considering there is no children's menu available. Were we supposed to order a $40 steak for a child to waste?! Considering the restaurant doesn't have a children's menu and it is near Walt Disney World where lots of families are visiting it seems as though they would make a few more accommodations for children. \n\nAnd the menu, how about a few prices so we know how much we're spending without asking the waiter for the price of every single item?! Very tricky in my opinion.

Just returned from Orlando and we were recommended to Shulas from a relative. From the time we sat down the service was absolutely awful. I agree with another reviewer that because we didnt order an expensive bottle of wine we were virtually ignored the entire meal. Our waiter did not return to our table once during the entire meal to ask if we need anything or if everything was OK. The steak was just OK and I have eaten at much better steakhouses in New York.

Being an avid steak lover - on any vacation I hit one quality Steak House. On my honeymoon my wife and I chose Shula's. I was impressed for the first minute. The food was excellent thought pricey as one would expect but worth EVERY PENNY. Any of the steaks were quality and cooked to perfection. The service was undeniably exceptional. The place is a little too dark. I HIGHLY recommend the Beefsteak Tomato salad. The only place I have ever been where the food was near comparison was Emeril's Delmonico at the Venetian in Vegas. DEFINETLY make a stop at Shula's if in the Disney/Orlando area and looking for steak!

The steaks are good- but the price - whew! I expect more for the prices they demand. The service is suspect and if they are busy - which they usually are is almost non-exsistent. If you want good steaks and great service for the same price - walk across the bridge to the Yacht Club and enjoy the Yachtsman Steak House.

My wife and I had dinner at Shula's our last night at the Dolphin. The food, atmosphere and service were great! I was a little surprised that some people brought kids with them, as it is very pricey.\n\nI had the filet mignon and my wife had the KC Strip. Both were awesome. We split a salad, a baked potato and an order of broccoli. If I had to do it over again, I would skip the broccoli and potato - they were OK, but left little room for the steak!

We had reservations for SHULA'S at the Dolphin. \nWe saw people without reservations asking for a table. Imagine our surprise when they were given a good table & we had the worse table in the room! The food was salted too much, the oysters the smallest ever seen , the steak only okay not the best ever that we expeced. This was a place we have wanted to try for a long time. Sorry we did. One of our worst restaurant experiences ever!

By far one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. The 24oz porterhouse was to die for. I have experienced great steak before, but this was Steak Utopia. The service was great. The ambience was fair, though exactly what you would expect from a football themed establishment. Though not a fan of ""big ears"" I plan to visit the Dolphin Resort again expectant of another great meal.

Each year on our annual mecca to visit the magical mouse we make our first stop Shula's. The Dolphin Resort is the perfect location for this culinary adventure. Try Shula's...you won't be disappointed.

My friends kept telling me to dine here for my anniversary, because it's a legend. Go to Shulas, they said! It was good... but there are better steakhouses in Orlando. I'm sure there must be. The service wasn't up to par either. I think I will start my quest to find the best steakhouse in Orlando. I just checked out the listing on citysearch, and there are more than a dozen. It'll take me at least a year or two... but stay tuned for my reviews!
