It's way too expensive to eat here. Most entrees cost at least 20 bucks (only the hamburger costs less than 20, it's reasonably priced at 14$). I accidentally walked in here one day with my wife, and decided to just give it a shot. When I saw that I could *easily* drop 80 bucks if I didn't take control, I forced my wife to order a hamburger, which I ordered as well. I got a really large burger and a ton of french fries. Even though it was the most expensive burger I've ever ordered in my life,it didn't taste remarkable.(Five Guys makes a better - and smaller - burger). I ordered a piece of cake for desert (to appease my wife who was not happy). It cost way too much (I think it was 7 bucks), and although it was good, it's probably available at my local supermarket for half the price.

To be fair, I did not order their more expensive entrees, they may or may not be very good. I just couldn't get over the prices.

But I'm sure you'll notice a pattern here: I can't complete a sentence without mentioning how much this place costs. Avoid it, unless you have money to burn and don't mind taking a risk on a local place.

The food is decent, but the prices are ridiculous. I understand and support purchasing from local farmers and merchants, but there is no reason prices were as high as they were.

The food was pretty good, but there wasn't a lot of it. I got the scallops and the veggies it came with were pretty bad. I had to choke them down because there wasn't much food to begin with and I was hungry to at least eat something. The prices are WAY up there. I understand a lot of people like this place because it's kind of trendy and it's smaller and quieter, but I need a good size serving and some value. I didn't find that here. Not recommended unless you want that trendy vibe and have the money to waste on it.

Mildred's has to be considered one, if not the best restaurant experience in this area.
The menu offers local, seasonal foods for lunch and dinner. The wine list is award winning and an exceptional value. The service has always been courteous and knowledgable. The chef changes the menu frequently to keep up with the local farmers supplies. Highly recommended for any occasion or no occassion at all.

Pros: Parking, service, wine list, exceptional entrees

Everything on the menu is made using local organic produce as much as possible, fresh farm products, and Florida seafood. Mildred's (the name is an homage to hard-working movie mama Mildred Pierce) has a modestly priced lunch menu filled…
